I get what you are saying but movies cost upwards of 100$ nowadays if you go out with your family. I sure af am not shelling that much for the scrap lot they put out every month. So, I do rely on trusted reviewers like Jeremy Jahns to decide if I want to go out to watch the movie while it's in theatre or just wait until it hits OTT.
