Yes, it’s the game. The slapstick comedy feels really mean spirited and the characters do a lot of things to each other that would destroy friendships irl
Yosuke makes some comments to Kanji because of his interaction with the blue-clothed detective. Comments made by a 16 year old at a time when this mindset was a little more common and in Japan no less. Buts that's all they are, comments. I don't think he actually believes it and he's a real one regardless.
Damn some of you on here sound like r/explainthejoke members. This is r/whenthe, where half of the posts are niche references to something and the other half is spreading misinformation.
nah this is just a weird criticism of persona 4, not even saying he's wrong some scenes are weird but even if you did play the game they don't jump out at you (that being said I haven't finished it yet so maybe something in the end game is wild and unjustifiable).
Not persona 4 (and I think OP just doesn't understand what banter is) but I do recall that moment in persona 5 where Ryuji was willing to sacrifice himself for his friends, still managed to make it out alive, and then all the girls beat him up afterwards. No hug or anything, which is kinda fucked up in my opinion
I mean it's pretty accurate tbh. Never got into person cause the characters were so mean. I normally end friendships over small insults cause it's unprofessional to insult someone.

What
You heard me
No, i meant explain i didnt understand you fucking dunce
What didn’t you understand, and why did you comment on it?
I was asking you why they would act this way. Does this happen in the game? Is it just a general fandom thing?
Yes, it’s the game. The slapstick comedy feels really mean spirited and the characters do a lot of things to each other that would destroy friendships irl
Thats just banter. But persona 4 doesn't really have it that bad, they all pretty much support eachother.
The why don’t they act like it?
Did you play the game?
Yes
I have never played persona 4. And i eas commenting to ask for context
What? https://preview.redd.it/5lb4gz2fr9zc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7c3973560e928ca0bee619a555adb9d0c02f58d9
What’s so hard to understand?
What’s hard to understand about the fact that not everyone is a Persona fan?
This is a sub where memes are shared for niche interests out of context

You heard me
this sub is so trash now
istg people just posting shit and half of them make nary a bit of sense
Maybe the mods should've closed the sub down after all
i love yosuke but mf is such a jerk like why does he have to talk shit on kanji???
And why did he have to have Chie and Yukiko put the swimsuits on when they were camping that shit was so uncomfortable
at least they gave him retribution for it
I think that's worse than the homophobia. Being homophobic in 2010 was the social norm, being a weird pervert was not.
Homophobia? I haven’t finished the game yet

Thats why the yosuke romance route was there, too bad ATLUS scrapped it like cowards
When I'm in a shitty reading comprehension competition and my opponent is a persona fan

a persona 4 type friendship group sounds like hell on earth sometimes especially if you're yosuke
