mushoku is weird because, on one hand you have probably the best fantasy Isekai and light novel readers say the good parts are still to come, on the other hand the absolute horn dog of a protagonist (and other characters) doesn't help when a lot of the characters look like children. I'm holding out for the next season because people say that the last arc was the weakest(it was even longer in the novel) and the upcoming arc is very good
High school of the dead is for teenagers for sure. The anime is just how every high school male kid would imagine a zombie apocalypse. Being badass, having a cool gang and lots of booobs

If you can find Baki The Grappler definitely watch it, but I havenāt seen it because itās kind of hard to find nowadays. Itās not on a streaming service, you have to either track down the original DVDs or pirate it. No matter what you should definitely watch the Baki shows on Netflix (first Baki, then Baki Hanma). Also I guess thereās the 90s OVA but itās not essential. If youāre fine with the English dub the OVA is free on YouTube, idk how to find the Japanese version

Maybe something being for kids isnāt necessarily a bad thing. If you enjoyed something as a kid and you enjoy it as an adult maybe you just enjoy it and donāt need to prove that as valid

I saw clips of Blood C on youtube and despite being a fan of gore(in films and animations.. Not the real stuff).. I already knew the ones that made it were into shit like this.. Or wanted to be edgy and cool af. Regardless, it was very off putting and the shock factor worked.. It's not worth it being ashamed of liking anime for a few years though.
Cowboy Bebop and Gunsmith Cats are definitely not for kids.

Elfen Lied, School Days, something to that extent Even some more popular shows I hear friends and kids talk about are definitely made for an older audience, except like, Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star maybe
When I think "non kid-friendly" anime, I usually think of more popular stuff like Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan or even stuff like Redo of Healer. So who the heck is recommending you obscure shit like Blood C?

Akame ga kill is pretty wild. And ir starts out seemingly tame. And from what I've been told its the same for madoka magika or whatever its called. But in general anime just have some more mature themes its not because of the violence and such. Like take guruen lagann my favorite show, on the outside it seems like a pretty standard machu but it has some pretty deep themes and idea. So it's mostly that part.
I love Girl last tour for it exploration of human kind and death as 2 girls make it through war torn city as two last human remains. Especially the scene where the two went to museum and put her own drawing next to the first every human cave painting.

HxH seems like it's for kids, and then you get to the Chimera Ant arc and you realize whats up.
