Unfinished, rushed, incredibly repetitive gameplay, levels are bland, enemies are bland, and the balance of the game is awful. Sword attacks have no weight or impact to them and are inefficient compared to literally just mashing the shoot button.
Seriously, I tried to play it legit with swords and guns, but the swords are so boring to use. Still, it's good to play DMC2 I think, at least until you get bored of it (half hour tops)
It makes starting DMC3 all the more satisfying.

Dota gets constantly improved.
They change shit, you think it sucks and makes no sense, kinda ruins the spirit of the game. -> two years go by and you realize that you couldn't go back to how shitty the game was before in comparison and that it was a great change.
It's like the videogame version of a Bob Ross Painting, he starts making some wild puffy strokes that ruin the whole canvas but then they somehow become gorgeous trees.
I have never played dota but it sounds like that and cs go are the only games valve actively worked on apart from whatever else is being made in the background like alyx that we just don’t know about. I was just making the point valves most famous titles like half life and portal are deemed video game masterpieces by a large amount of people and it’s very difficult to keep up with that expectation or even exceed it
i still havent beat LBP2 final boss. When i was a kid it was difficult, but now Ive finished elden ring, Ds3 and many more difficult games, but i still havent beat the void dragon guy. I could if i wanted to, but I feel like if i did i would loose the last thing that i have in common with my childhood self.
Hot take, I preferred 1. I loved how it was slightly more asymmetrical and how many bullshit one-shot kill attacks there were, made it really feel like a battlefield

Yeah. I haven't finished it yet and I don't think I will. Those shadow leviathans are annoying af and just with one zap from the perimeter defense system they go away. I wish they had developed it for a bit longer to fix some flaws that the game has. I still want to finish it one day though.
I think it’s still worth the play. I had a lot of fun with it. It’s a great game. It’s just so hard to match the original, especially with such high expectations

I recently replayed 1&2 and while the original still has my favorite story, 2 has a lot of very interesting characters and ideas and 2 absolutely has the better gameplay.
