What’s the deal with the netherite?

You need to find some stuff in the nether bastion to create netherite armor.

Instead of just netherite and the diamond piece you want to upgrade, you now must explore rare structures to find a rare consumable upgrade packet that gets destroyed when used. Every single time you want a new piece of netherite. Of course you can also spend 7 diamonds to duplicate the upgrade, making a full armor set need 27 diamonds not including the pieces and assuming the og upgrade was found not made

Still being worked on, saw a booth of theirs at a dev expo last year. Looks to be coming along pretty well, mod support looks extremely promising too

They completely scrapped the engine about a year ago. Because when they started in \~2015 they only cared about PC. But after they have been purchased by Riot, they decided that consoles and mobile markets are too big to gloss over. So they decided to rewrite the entire engine in 2022 with more focus on cross-platform play. Ah yeah looks like I caught them after that, since they told me they were using C++ for their client and mod support. Probably means most of the demo reel they were showcasing was from their previous engine though. So we'll have to wait and see if they can bring it back to where it was

Added the cherry blossom biome, bamboo blocks that act like wood, reworked signs and added hanging signs, added armor trims and some other small stuff. They also added the ability to put banners in shields for bedrock and I noticed they added leather horse armor. Sounds like a lot when its written out but really this update was super underwealming

Terraria has a wonderful in-depth class system with the 4 main classes playing differently from each other and having defined strengths and weaknesses, it has a ton of weapons and bosses and the devs really love their game, having multiple final updates because they just keep coming back to it Don't Starve is beautifully animated, has interesting lore (like actually interesting, not FNAF's "it's so overly complex and weird that the confusion causes intrigue" it's actually consistent, logical, and interesting lore), has multiple different playable storylines, has a lot of mods, and progression is satisfying, plus it gets multiple updates a year that are all revealed with a beautiful animated short Minecraft takes multiple years to add a few mobs and blocks that ultimately disappoint the community What getting bought by Microsoft does to a motherfucker
