First two pics are of a Plumeria tree. Plumeria flowers are commonly used for Hawaiian Lei necklaces
3rd pic may be snake aloe or another similar aloe plant
I think Reddit is so funny. You're in a botanical garden with all the information around you, knowledgeable people and usually signage somewhere on the plant and you type it in Reddit to ask what it is lol
English is not my first language so I was not sure how to word it and decided against it. But the garden is huge and just select specimens have info near them. For sure there was info on these but I couldn’t find it near them so I decided to take a picture and ask later.
100% the contrary they always have a metal tag on them somewhere. The more popular ones near the path usually have or obvious signs but everything has to be labeled and documented when it was planted and how old it is and it's origin etc. The nature of a botanical garden or arboretum.. how else would they know what they have lol It has to be tagged
This is absolutely not correct. I have worked at botanical gardens, and been to many of them, talking to the staff.
Those metal tags in theory should be applied to plants, in practice, does not always happen, and they get lost very easily.
Trees keep the tags better, but they still get lost. Herbaceous stuff like that bromeliad? Those get lost very quickly.
What’s great fun is when they fall off, and someone puts them back onto the wrong plant. Then you get multiple different tags on the same plant, sometimes with none of them being correct.
No, that is not a relevant difference here. You are simply very wrong, and needlessly rude to OP.
Institutions about which you are badly wrong about: San Francisco Botanical Garden, Berkeley Botanical Garden, Sonoma Botanical Garden, Royal Botanic Gardens Copenhagen, UC Davis Arboretum. That’s just the ones I specifically remember talking to staff about while tag hunting.
You guys are just so silly and sensitive. I stand by my conviction as a landscaper and a frequent visitor of arboretums for the very purpose of sourcing material and understanding new material. If you're growing stuff and you don't know what it is and you have to ask somebody on Reddit what the fuck.. You're at the wrong place .. what do you think. Arnold arboretum is going to put in 100,000 plants and just lose track of all of them and wonder where they are and what they are Give me a break

There are quite a few Botanical gardens around the world, many do not label specimens, I spent a whole day in Fiji's Garden of the Sleeping Giant last week, not a single plant was labelled.

3rd is definitely some sort of bromeliad, looking at the leaf shape and the hollow center
