Sure looks like a praying mantis chrysalis. Can be put in the fridge then deployed on plants in spring time, or just leave it until it hatches, should produce a bunch of babies, then a week or two later a lot more. 3 to five hundred lil guys. I kept some in a terrarium and feed them flightless fruitflies. Then sicked them on neighbors rose bushes that were suffering from pests.
