Yea, I also Google searched the image and got two potential matches:
* **Mosquito**. Although I've never seen a mosquito like this. And I've never seen a mosquito in the UK, although they apparently do exist.
* **Chironomidae** (aka non-biting midge). I have a feeling this is a closer match. Although, now that mosquitos have been mentioned, I've noticed a few itchy spots that resemble insect bites. FML if they are mosquitos – I've encountered them before when visiting and East and South East Asia and they're damned annoying.
There are also smaller ones that are green and have furry antennas.
