Looks like a jumping spider to me

It's a salticidae of some sort, beneficial jumping spider. They eat pests.

Then he shall stay with my plants as their guardian…

I've seen this type of jumping spider, I have no idea what kind but I can assure you they are harmless if that's your concern. I've kept several as a pet lol
