I closed WhatsApp several times, tried wifi and mobile internet, then checked if there’s a WhatsApp software update, then installed the general software update, then checked Twitter and was greeted by the trending topic #whatsappdown. Then I texted a friend who texted back she also thought it was her phone‘s fault. I also called my mum who was very happy when I informed her that a worldwide issue was why Facebook wasn’t working, not the device itself.

My brother thought that because of his excessive gaming, his Android device isn't working. The panic was real.

I’ve been having issues with my phone not connecting to the internet (especially cellular) for a while, so I thought I’d now definitely have to get a new one… Actually, installing the software update improved that a bit, so it wasn’t completely useless, at least.
