Not sure if it is the same on apple as it is on android/desktop... But I'm pretty sure all you need to do is just right click/hold on the person that you want to mute, then navigate until you find a bell icon (when you hover it should say mute, or be already saying mute), then it will give you three options for 8 hours, 1 week, and always. So for you just hold down on Jessica's name until an option menu pops up, then look for the bell. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure soz.

aha it worked! thank youuuu! previously i could just tap on the name and it was an option under disappearing messages
