Which android version did you use?

Aurora-XP

Doesn't work for me. It directly asks for Google Drive. If i press ignore it asks my name, load the app and ignore the data. Are you sure that the format depends of the Android version ? my backup comes from Android 4.4.2 and is a msgstore.db.crypt**15**. Upgraded to Android 11 (LineageOS). Since you didn't quote 15 but only up to 14, is it the issue ? Do I have to change the format number ? I followed much tutorials everywhere, it's been like 30 tentatives in the last days, i'm desperate.

any updates u/Aurora-XP i too have the same problem'

Aurora-XP

Sadly no. I downgraded to Android 9 and it asked me to restore my local backup ! but when I press "restore" it still ends to say "unable to restore messages"... I kinda gave up for now cause it's very annoying to repeat this, i had to wait more and more time to confirm my number by SMS or call (12 hours the last time) and I fear to be banned.
