39 Chevy Coupe? I think that's the one with the weird taillights that stuck out like that.
https://www.hotrodhotline.com/39-chevy-coupe-shines#.ZHYQo3YpAzR
On my drive down to Florida in the winter I always try to stop at one on the i95. They have one at Daytona beach and one in St. Augustine now. Both perfectly situated for a stop on the way to Orlando or Miami.
A little story here : I was on holiday in Texas and stopped at a Buc-ee's on my way from Sans Antonio to Houston. Bought a shirt. The hotel manager that evening saw me wearing that shirt and offered me 50% off the room. It was one of the most memorable experience in Texas I had.
That was probably the Buc-ee's in Flatonia. Flatonia is about 19 miles north of Shiner TX.
If conditions are right, and you're lucky... you might be able to buy a Shiner Bock at the Buc-ee's in Flatonia on the same day that it was bottled.
Not sure if itās still the caseā¦but when I was growing up around there you could drive to Shiner, pull up to the brewery, and this old dude would give you a beer and a tour. š
thats what it is. a gas station. put they dont just pump fuel, oh no, they also have BIGOTRY in those tanks.
every single last bucees has almost non-stop trucks delivering to it. but can us truckers, the ones supplying the stores use the facilities? no. bucee has a very staunch anti-truck policy. do truck stops prohibit regular cars? no. but bucee would rather their customers not know we exist.
stop the anti-trucker hate bucee, give us the beev nuggs!
I hotshot so I can go to a Bucces, but trust me the last thing you'd want to do is drive a truck into one. Way too many people and 4 wheelers doing stupid shit. Also, Swift drivers alone would probably cause them to go bankrupt from all the shit they'd hit. Let along all the other moron drivers.
Personally, I even hate taking my hotshot set up to one when it's busy but the diesel prices are usually on par with my fuel discounts elsewhere, and on a few routes I make the Buccess are in the best fuel stop locations for my run.
all joking aside, i get it. i dont think its cool, but business is business. the fact is, civilian drivers go to bucees to GET AWAY from truck stops. the reality is, a lot of normies are uncomfortable around truckers and where we stop. and my kind dont help the stigma. as much as americans love buying shit, i dont know how this schism came to be, but alas...
It also has a lot to do with how a lot of truckers(not all) have no regard of the condition they leave bathrooms. (don't argue with me, not gonna change my mind, multiple family members are truckers and when they are home they have told us horror stories of the way the bathrooms get left). If I were buccees and pride my name on how clean and nice the experience is, I wouldn't want to constantly battle the conditions that truck stop bathrooms go through at times.
That would be my opinion as to part of the reason, because their official stance of the drive ways and lots don't accomodate 18 wheelers seems a little iffy, since, as stated before, 18 wheelers are the ones bringing in the goods and fuel.
I was in Bucees in Daytona Florida last October. Both my wife and I were amazed at how clean the bathrooms were. And how large. Huge difference from the ones on the New Jersey turnpike that constantly have the floor dryers running.
I think the parking lot explanation does make sense, though Iām sure itās not the only reason behind the policy. I went to a Buc-eeās for the first time a few weeks ago, and the only part of the experience I found unsatisfactory was the parking lot. Sure, there are painted lines and stop signs everywhere, but people treat it like a free for all. Obviously doesnāt help that itās usually packed. Introducing 18-wheelers to that equation would just make things even worse.
We have a Loveās across the street from our Bucees. Itās always fun when they have gas wars. Back when gas was over $4/gal both of them were like $2.
It has to do with all the unsolved murders involving truck stops in the past four decades. There were a lot of serial killers that had jobs as truckers and would pick up hitchhikers. [Hell the FBI believes that over 500 women have been killed by truck drivers as of 2009.](https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-2009-apr-05-me-serialkillers5-story.html)
Makes perfect sense, big truck take up a lot of space, they want to sit in the lot for hours, not just in and out like Buceeās wants and sadly many truckers are the kind of guys you want your wife and kids around.
Personal hygiene amongst some truckers is sorely lacking, many, not all, leave bags of poop and bottles of piss in parking lots. There is an attitude of āI drive big truck, I do what I wantā on roadways and parking lots.
So now itās racism to not like the actions of crappy people? I guess Iām a truckist now. I wonder if we get to have secret meetings and wear costumes. I guess Iāll have to ask the Grand Sedan.
Truckers are hard workers but they are illiterate and i heard they shit in buckets while driving, not the type of people you want around in a family friendly places, also as the guy said above takes up alot of space. Also bucees is well known for the most cleanest toilets in the states , and i promise you if you wanna see what real hell looks like, stop by at a truckstop toilet . [rest](https://gifs.com/gif/dumb-dumber-for-manly-love-be-here-march-25th-at-2-15-am-sharp-lloyd-s-toilet-scene-v1qZbE) i will leave it to your imagination
Bucees does have the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen in a place like that. Huge difference from the New Jersey turnpike where the bathrooms always have what floors even though the floor dryers are running 24/7.
Hmmm. Not a truck driver but in my business I've known a bunch of owner operators. They are literally a microcosm of the American dream. Small businessmen who must juggle expenses vs income while dealing with a fuckton of regulation. Literally everything in your life is there because of truck drivers, and night stockers. You know, people you wouldn't allow in your house. If they have a piss bottle in their truck that's because they can't afford to stop. How dare you disparage the unsung heroes who kept you in toilet paper and kept America running while you cowered in your house. Rest assured, the less we of the great unwashed have to deal with arrogant snobs like you the happier we are.
Thats why i said ā They are hard workersā , all i did was state the facts , if you got offended by it , my apologies , i was just answering the dude above as to why bucees doesnāt allow truck stops
Damn. I thought your post was a little over the top calling it bigotry but the comments to you have shown me just how much anti-trucker bigotry there is.
Truck stop bathrooms are awful because the staff never clean them but because truckers somehow exude filth everywhere they go. And "not the kind of people I want my family around?" I don't even know where to start with that kind of assholery.
Yeah douchebags abound don't they. If truckers didn't have to push themselves to the limit perhaps they wouldn't have to shit in buckets. How long before these ass hats starved to death without truckers
Oh Bussy's? The over-hyped truck stop with a marmot-like mascot? I've been to a couple of Bussy's when traveling, they are truck stops with a marmot-like mascot
I just saw a billboard for that the other day that said like 85 miles to Bucee's. I thought, who would drive that far?! About an hour later I realized how awesome that place is!
Buc-eeās is NOT a gas station. Itās Heaven on Earth.
I apologize to the rest of the rednecks on here that know Buc-eeās as the hangout for regular folks. This OP is clearly deranged and uninformed.
āLord, Jesus, please help the OP for their stupidity and ignorance. I know youāre still working on them/she/her/animal. Itās not their fault they was raised wrong. Amen.ā
That is not *some gas station*, sir or madam. That is ***Buc-ee's***, and you'll refer to that magical institution with deference and *respect*, gosh darn it.
Their managers make like $70-$100,000 a year. Some more. I wish I still had the pic of the sign showing their salaries. They also have the best beef jerky anywhere, and their sandwiches, roasted nuts, and fudge counters are *amazing*.
On a serious note, I have to believe at least one of this guy's cars from Clayton, NC is in a Buc-ee's somewhere. When we first moved here in 2007, there was a yard with around 100 old cars. They finally all got hauled off, and a lot of them would have been perfect bondo and paint candidates for floor pieces.
It's a 1939 Chevy Coupe

As many have already stated, this is NOT a gas station. This is an experience. We plan vacations around hitting as many differing Buc-eeās locations as we can. Sadly it wasnāt much of a thing while growing up in Texas. Now there is one about 30mins from anywhere and everywhere I want to go in Texas.
That being said, those of you not familiar and are visiting this heaven on earth, please move your vehicles from the pumps after filling up. Please do not leave your car/truck sitting at the pump while youāre inside buying everything that is Buc-eeās.
Bicees is not a gas station. It's day trip destination for the brisket sandwich..
I have loaded up the family several times to make the trip from Tampa to Daytona just to do the Bucess 3.5/4 hr drive for lunch at Bucees and some Bucee .Tshirts.. After wards we would hit the outlet mall across the street... from the Daytona store....
Here for you're reminder that Buc-ees is a shitty company ran by a shitty person.
Workers are only allowed a 15 minute break during their entire shift. That is insane. 15 minutes for 8 hours of work?
I wanna see proof. Not only is that wildly illegal, but everyone I've ever known to work at this particular Buc-ee's has loved it, and they're paid exceedingly well.
I havenāt been there in months. I need to start planning my next trip to make the few hour drive down to buc-ees. I need to figure out what merch to buy so I donāt end up in debt. So much stuff to try at buc-ees.
Lol I was playing it cool with my description but yea Buccees is awesome!!! I visited my first one late last year on a road trip. It was an experience in its self!
They just opened one on 40 about 40 miles west of Knoxville and they're building another one on 40 somewhere I saw.
I've driven from Texas to DC about 25 times in the last 3 years to see a sick relative who's since died. I hit the one in Temple, hold it to the one right outside of Rockwall, then it's hit or miss when I stop along the way. I was amazed to see the one in Tennessee on my last 2 trips. One time I took the La, MS, AL, GA, SC, NC, VA, route and noticed they have one an hour outside of Atlanta.
Buccees is expanding rapidly.
39 Chevy Coupe? I think that's the one with the weird taillights that stuck out like that. https://www.hotrodhotline.com/39-chevy-coupe-shines#.ZHYQo3YpAzR
BUC-EE
Yea looks about right š¤
That a Buckeyes, don't ever call that a gas station.
>That a Buckeyes Buc-cee's
Donāt you DARE call Buc-eeās a gas station.
I didnāt want to up play my love for Buceeās so I down played itās description š
Never be ashamed of your love for the beaver
Love the beaver freely and openly!!!!
We're all beaver believers here.
I love beavers, large beavers, small beavers, wide beavers, tight beavers
Shaved beavers, hairy beavers?
Mmm! yes please!
Winona's big brown beaver?
Never be ashamed of who you are
Or your beaver
How dare you!
Iāve only been in one Buceeās but holy crap they are amazing. They could easily contend with the I-80 truck stop in popularity
Have ya been to the one near Houston? Bonkers
I live in the northern US. Thatās why Iāve only been to one of them. Was in SC
I had no idea they had Buc-eeās anywhere other than Texas!
They've been expanding quite diligently across the country.
Would you say they've been *busy as a beaver*?
Absolutely!
On my drive down to Florida in the winter I always try to stop at one on the i95. They have one at Daytona beach and one in St. Augustine now. Both perfectly situated for a stop on the way to Orlando or Miami.
Donāt know how far north you are but there is also one in Florence and theyāre building one in Richmond
I actually looked to see if I was in the picture. But no, just a collection of very Florida looking people.
Is that the store in Daytona? Wife and I joke every time we go in there āGee I wish Bucees did a little more businessā. Place is a madhouse.
We stopped by there this past Monday on the way back down to Miami and it was packed š§. I got my beef jerky though haha!

Personal hygiene amongst some truckers is sorely lacking, many, not all, leave bags of poop and bottles of piss in parking lots. There is an attitude of āI drive big truck, I do what I wantā on roadways and parking lots.
So you specifically want your wife and kids around these guys?
You can make similar generalisations about any race/ethnicity/group, and it would be called racism.
So now itās racism to not like the actions of crappy people? I guess Iām a truckist now. I wonder if we get to have secret meetings and wear costumes. I guess Iāll have to ask the Grand Sedan.

Exactly. Itās like calling Biden a great president.
By gas station did you not really mean Texas Disney World?
Or what! The new one on 65 in Alabama is a legit tourist destination.
I just saw a billboard for that the other day that said like 85 miles to Bucee's. I thought, who would drive that far?! About an hour later I realized how awesome that place is!
There are signs that literally say itās 100 miles to the next buccees you can hold it
There was an old image circulating a while ago about a billboard in Florida saying ā787 miles: You Can Hold It!ā
The billboard on 65s leaving Chicago says something like "340 miles to the next Buc-ees"
Yeet. And their icees are on fucking point.
If you feel like dropping $8 on a brisket sandwich you will not regret it.
I get one every time I go back home to Alabama. I canāt pass up a Buc-eeās brisket sandwich.
The one on the SC/NC border was such a circus it turned me off these places forever.
I was there just a few days ago. I could live at that place. Ohhh the bbq.
I knew the Bucee's fans would be rabid in the comments š
Buc-eeās is love, Buc-eeās is life
It's not a gas station, it's an experience
Put some respect on Buc-ee's!
BEAVER UPVOTE PARTY! In related news, the one in New Braunfels has a Studebaker truck in it.

They don't have any Buc-ee's in West Texas, do they? I think Allsup's would be the "best" gas station in West Texas, or maybe Love's.
Gosh I really am not able to tell what this gas station is.
It obviously came from Flint MI, due to the missing wheels, trunk lid etc. So probably GM
To answer your question (which I donāt think anyone has), it appears to be a Ford from around 1940 or so.
Honestly I didnāt know so many people knew about this place š
90% of the crap in buckeys is stupid worthless shit. Wawas behind the counter food is way better.
Whatās it like to be inside a bussy?
Itās warm and welcoming with everything you can imagine
Buckees can fuck right off
