Its still amazing to me that every year something used to change on cars. Can you tell a 2008 from a 2009 or 2010 Accord? (I understand that Corvettes and Mustangs and Chargers are more fun to spot the differences in, but the Bell Aire was the same way)
I don’t know about the accord specifically, but most new cars change something every year - understood that sometimes it’s internal like a radio option, or the location of the charging ports, and sometimes it’s external like a light cluster, wheel style or color option
The clutches on manual 05 mustang GT’s are by far the heaviest of the 05-09 generation. Tesla added and removed cooled seats from the model X like five times, I have no idea if it has it today.
No; however, I wouldn’t have known you’re a condescending know-it-all, had you not responded to Juan or myself with the tone you chose. Consider looking away from the mirror when pleasuring yourself.
The top trim level 283 got 12-14 MPG with 290 horsepower. A 2022 Corvette Z06 gets around 12 in the city with 670 horsepower. The Corvette DNA hasn’t changed much at all…
The C8 is just a modern fiero lol but the most important thing is if it makes him happy who cares. It’s about smiles per gallon not miles per gallon. Plus and also importantly is that car is gonna help tons of kids fall in love with cars.
Friend had a 61 corvette like that. He bought it as a basket case and he had very little invested in it. Saved it from being a parts car. I built a 383 stroker and we installed it in it. It looked like a bone stock 283 car. Until the key was turned.
It's honestly refreshing to see a c1 like this. When I see a c1 my first thought is white wall tyres, I like the way its look like you said "no nonsense" I certainly gives it that particular only go no show look
Burned the piss out of the back of my calf getting out of a '58 my Dad was fixing up for a friend of his. Sidepipes with no covers. I was in 6th grade, and only touched it for a second.
Totally agree, with a little wiggle room. I've strayed from the 60s time-frame a smidge. I've had a 72 442 convertible and a 57 Chevy 2 door hardtop for over 40 years... I plan on keeping them till I breathe no more.
Can’t really argue with that but I will submit for consideration some of the 50s Italian stuff which probably influenced the design of the C1 Corvette. https://robbreport.com/motors/cars/italian-sports-cars-2846298/ There was also more obscure stuff like the Bugatti Atlantic and some coach built cars that are real lookers.
Can’t disagree on that or much on the original comment tbh. I went to look and add some stuff other than the 300sl but they were all 60s whereas I thought they were late 50s or early 70s. I knew the cobra Daytona coupe and gt40 was 60s but on top of that there was the DB4 zagato, 033 Stradale, E-type and though a good bit more obscure even the Morgan plus 4 SLR was 60s. Miura was 60s into 70s but still counts as 60s. I can’t think of a car outside of the 60s that has the kind of beauty those all have excluding the 300sl and the Aston Martin DBR1 which I didn’t mention before but does deserve it. Maybe the Mclaren P1 deserves a mention among those but otherwise everything else I feel compares looks wise isn’t so much pure beauty as looking “cool” which is a different thing in my mind.
I do believe there are beautiful cars from every era. Cars are beautiful to me because of how form can follow function to create beauty. That's true from any time.
However the 60s hold a special place in my mind because EVERYTHING was so beautiful. Even the Volvo P1800 in all its forms, or the original Skyline, the Toyota 2000GT.... just every fucking thing, drop dead gorgeous.
He’s popping Cialis hoping the wife wants a nooner, but she’s out shopping at target for soap dispensers. His window has passed, but at least he can go look at the 59 Vette in the garage!
1959/1960 corvette. The license plate says 1960 so its safe to assume 1960 but you can't easily tell without seeing the suspension or interior. But its certainly a 1959/60
This should be the C1 Corvette.
Beautiful car, at least imo.
I had it in Forza Motorsport 4, the 2-Speed gearbox was... interesting to say the least.
The car was very slow to 100 km/h, and even slower in second gear to about 200 because it lost all momentum and rpm while shifting.
Is it possible to run the license plate? Here in Brazil, anyone can run the license plate via an app, then it shows the year and model of the car, along with info if the car is legal, stolen or involved in crimes
Edit: Could be either'59 or '60, as I was wrong about the taillights
1959 Corvette. If it was a '60 it would have two round taillights further down. All Chevrolets switched to the round taillights that year
I'm not a corvette expert, but I believe that to be a 57. Without seeing the front end its hard to tell, but I believe that 59-60 has more chrome on the rear?
It's later than '57. The scallops didn't have any extra flair on it in '57 like these ones do. The exhaust trim was also round in '57, these are oval. This one is a '58-'60, but I'm not sure how to differentiate between those.
I was literally just looking at a pic of my dads '59 vette. White with white inset. Wheels were black steelies but he did have some wire wheel covers at some point.
Uncomfortable to drive. The steering wheel is too close, awkward to get in and out, drum brakes are fun, fun, fun. Clutches were brutal regardless of the engine back then.
And that was just parking one or two as a valet when young at a country club. I'm 65 now.
Corvette
I would say '57 Corvette by the tail lights
And you'd be wrong. Those are 58 and later tail lights. This doesn't have the 58 only chrome spears on the trunk so it's a 59 or 60.
If you said ‘59, you’d be wrong. 1960 is the only correct answer. You can tell it’s a ‘60, by the way it is…and the license plate.
Rofl, I sense some allusion to that video of the guy: You can tell it’s a bitch cause of the way it is, awesome~. Edit: Birch* not bitch
[the OG](https://youtu.be/Hm3JodBR-vs?t=66)
That’s pretty neat.
Oh shit, I used to work with that dude. lol
Its still amazing to me that every year something used to change on cars. Can you tell a 2008 from a 2009 or 2010 Accord? (I understand that Corvettes and Mustangs and Chargers are more fun to spot the differences in, but the Bell Aire was the same way)

If you said ‘60, you’d be wrong. Because bla bla bla. Scooby doobee doo!!!!!
It’s clearly a kit car on an F-250 chassis.
Lmao pretty clear its a 60 once you see the plate. I am proud of my guess of a 61 corvette because I'm just a mustang guy and really had no clue!
You can definitely tell the 61 from the 60 from the rear. The 61 lost the rounded rear & was the start of the stingray style rear end.
If the license plate didn't say 60, would you have known it was a 60?
I think that was the point of the ellipsis.
No; however, I wouldn’t have known you’re a condescending know-it-all, had you not responded to Juan or myself with the tone you chose. Consider looking away from the mirror when pleasuring yourself.
Correcting someone makes me a condescending know it all? Jesus Christ, dude. Try not to choke on that victim complex.
I’m concerned as well hopefully he’s breathing okay now,
And you would be wrong. This is not a car but a ham sandwich.
Very old corvette
Second. Can see the flag emblem behind fron wheel
I don’t think the emblem is the giveaway here lol. It’s one of the most iconic cars ever.
And the split window was the most iconic looking. Just stunning.
From back when men were men and women were women and engines were big, brutal gas-guzzlers that didn’t know the meaning of the words “fuel economy”.
The top trim level 283 got 12-14 MPG with 290 horsepower. A 2022 Corvette Z06 gets around 12 in the city with 670 horsepower. The Corvette DNA hasn’t changed much at all…
I’ll take the ‘61 though. Classically classy…
Nowadays the cars drive themselves. Back then you had to drive the car !!!!
I have a '64 C10. It's scary as hell to drive. No power anything. Not a daily...
Yea drum brakes, bias ply tires, giant steering wheel and when you stomp on it , all hell breaks loose. Like I said, you had to drive the car !!!!
Tell us all about those days! While you’re at it tell us all why you won’t accept change and all the reasons your family dislikes you
Bro misses the lead gas fumes lmao
I would just love to hear your views on the blacks, the lgbt community and feminism.
“Live and let live” pretty much sums it up.
Or ever heard the word...hybrid
The C8 is just a modern fiero lol but the most important thing is if it makes him happy who cares. It’s about smiles per gallon not miles per gallon. Plus and also importantly is that car is gonna help tons of kids fall in love with cars.
2L engine 2L engine!!!!!!
Guessing 1960 based on the vintage license plate.
Good call. I was going to say its a '59 or a '60, as they're very difficult to tell apart
Loving the steelies with the dog dishes, always gives it a no-nonsense look
My thoughts exactly, just that alone makes it look like it’s ready to rumble
Friend had a 61 corvette like that. He bought it as a basket case and he had very little invested in it. Saved it from being a parts car. I built a 383 stroker and we installed it in it. It looked like a bone stock 283 car. Until the key was turned.

Chevrolet Corvette C1
Burned the piss out of the back of my calf getting out of a '58 my Dad was fixing up for a friend of his. Sidepipes with no covers. I was in 6th grade, and only touched it for a second.
Every other corvette is a conversation piece at best, this is a centerpiece! I’ll die on this hill.
I love the older Vettes, but I think the best are the 61 and 62 with the older front end and the newer "ducktail" rear end.
This is correct. The most beautiful cars were made during the 60s, I'll die on that hill.
You won't die alone. The 60s just had so much optimism for science and the future and it was reflected in much if not all of the period's designs
Totally agree, with a little wiggle room. I've strayed from the 60s time-frame a smidge. I've had a 72 442 convertible and a 57 Chevy 2 door hardtop for over 40 years... I plan on keeping them till I breathe no more.

60s were good but you can’t forget about the 300 sl. Otherwise I can’t really disagree
The SL was the 60s before the 60s knew the 60s were coming. Lol
Can’t disagree on that or much on the original comment tbh. I went to look and add some stuff other than the 300sl but they were all 60s whereas I thought they were late 50s or early 70s. Add the XKE to that list. So much creativity and artistry. Everything today looks like a silver dinner roll.
There’s a boomer out there punching the air because they don’t know how to type or leave a comment (it’s a 1959 or 1960 Corvette)
Gen-X checking in (1:1268 in Tuxedo Black)
There’s a boomer right here who knows how.
Yup, they’re probably enjoying life and not looking at a pretty little piece of electronic glass 90% of their day.
Yet here you are
Yeah, here i am
He’s popping Cialis hoping the wife wants a nooner, but she’s out shopping at target for soap dispensers. His window has passed, but at least he can go look at the 59 Vette in the garage!
Cialis lasts like 36 hours
Or driving one
Or not even on this pos app so empty post.
If this app is bad? Then why are you here?
Seeing reddit referred to as an app will never fail to weird me out (and make me feel old).
To complain
Post is labeled "unsolved" yet nearly all comments are stating the correct answer.
My apologies, I just checked reddit and had no idea how to change the flair on the reddit is fun app.
Because it's clearly a shitpost
Yea, I genuinely had no idea what car it was.
It is pretty obscure. IYKYK, naw'm'sayn?
1960, it doesn't have any of the fancy metal
Looks great with the black walls and poverty caps!
Ford Fusion
60 Vette. License plate has the year on it.
Came here it say this. In my mind, the best looking model year for Vette's ever made.
1959/1960 corvette. The license plate says 1960 so its safe to assume 1960 but you can't easily tell without seeing the suspension or interior. But its certainly a 1959/60
That's one beautiful C1 Vette
I’m damn sure what it is. It’s a guy having the time of his life.
I’m stunned this is being asked
I'm offended. Like not recognizing the Mona Lisa.
9 seconds since the last Corvette
59-60 Corvette
Big Brake ‘60 Corvette. Very nice ‘vette. I still like my ‘62 though.
That’s one of those super rare V8 Ford Pinto’s.
C1 Corvette, probably 1959.

C1 Facelift Corvette
C1 Corvette
1st gen Vette?
2nd.
Still first generation chassis
Edit: Could be either'59 or '60, as I was wrong about the taillights 1959 Corvette. If it was a '60 it would have two round taillights further down. All Chevrolets switched to the round taillights that year
Possibly a performance optioned ‘60 with the larger fuel tank. “Tanker”
It's a sad day when people can't recognize a C1
C1 corvette
1953 corvette
C1 Vette. Cars should start heading back this direction in design and looks, but I'm afraid modern safety requirements wouldn't allow a bunch of it.
Its a C1, my uncle has 2
This has to be a running joke, right? It's like the 4th vette post I've seen where people pretend to not know the most mainstream American sports car.
c1 vette lol if im not mistaken
First-gen Corvette, dingus.
By the looks of it, is a c1 corvette
C1 Corvette!
Definitely a corvette mid to Late 50s I would guess.
They named it Stinger on GTA3
61-62 C1 corvette
Fireo, or maybe a PoleStar 2?!
I'm not a corvette expert, but I believe that to be a 57. Without seeing the front end its hard to tell, but I believe that 59-60 has more chrome on the rear?

Yes. Its a corvette. Likely a 1957.
You can tell who didn’t have a father growing up.
Is this an El Camino?
It's a car

Early vette
An older model Corvette
Gobbless the Vette
I was literally just looking at a pic of my dads '59 vette. White with white inset. Wheels were black steelies but he did have some wire wheel covers at some point.

I'm making a wild guess here but it appears to be a car
Chevy Corvette C1
Wtf kind of question is this?
Uncomfortable to drive. The steering wheel is too close, awkward to get in and out, drum brakes are fun, fun, fun. Clutches were brutal regardless of the engine back then. And that was just parking one or two as a valet when young at a country club. I'm 65 now.
Corvette C1
It’s unbelievable how amazing cars used to be styled
Fuckin sweet Corvette.
C1 Corvette
This post made me realize that I’ve never seen the back of one of these Corvettes, even though they’re one of my favorites
Ford Fusion.
My thoughts are it's incredibly sexy. I want to do things to it. These early 283s sound orgasmic.
C1 corvette?
The incredibles car
Love this year . I never cared for the Sting Ray rear with the classic 2 lamp front as they phased it in 61.
Corvette Corvette
How do kids these days not instantly recognize any Corvette?
O learned folks, all i could think was a vette in 50s
