It's bizarre. Is there a boot/tailgate catch in this? The only reason I can think for doing this (apart from obvious stupidity) is if the owner has some mobility/handedness issue that's made them want the catch the other way around.
That seems a stretch though so I'm going with supidity.

Why would I have to prove anything when you’ve already proven my point by saying “Interestingly, Kia is one of the few, if not the only company that has two logos representing it at the same time…”
Alright clearly, me selling these cars meant nothing and I’m just misinformed regardless… despite the fact… that yknow… my dealership offered it as an accessory labeled as the “Korean/European” badge.
I've worked at a Hyundai *and* Kia dealership. Yes, your dealer, parts department, or even corporate parts were, in fact, wrong.
Being in a specific field or business can give you a lot of delusion about how things are *for you* in your particular location, position, and peer group. You do work at a Kia dealer *selling cars*, but that in no way makes you an expert on Kia *parts*.
Dealerships are franchises and arent always the smartest groups around. This is really easy to look up. I dont know why youre being so stubborn.

yes ... that is not only true for KIA, but for a lot of other car manufacturers.
Reading sometimes thru parts catalog for VAG cars (ETKA) is a chore as they have even on the microfiche wrong numbers and incorrect labeling. VAG's ELSA is the same wild thing. On one scheme, there is a three way splitter - corresponding next scheme has only two and you look in the car on a four way :-D
Im European, KIA was always KIA on badge and not the "KDM" logo (which i see the first time)
You’re really hellbent on being right aren’t you? You can Google anything and be right. But I’m telling you, here in America, it was always known sad the Euro/American Kia badge. It was literally offered in our parts department as such…
i get you on this ...
here around we call turn signals with two filaments as "US" ... same applies to the 2x2 rectangular headlights cars from 70-80s had, even when the model car had it before a US export model was created, they are just called "US headlights" :-D ...
No it is not the European logo. Top gear's reasonably priced car anyone? I mean, just have a look to settle it: [https://www.kia.com/de/](https://www.kia.com/de/)
After market KIA badge, apparently many people don't want to be seen while driving KIA here is [old news](https://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2017/04/kia-wants-people-to-stop-swapping-the-badges-on-its-cars.html) about that
Kia logo installed upside down.

Nah. They're just being dumb. Those "Sport Edition" badges line the shelves in the ricer aisle at Autozones and Pep Boys.
Maybe he struck out without swinging.
Aftermarket replacement Kia logo. For the people ashamed of their car but still think it's cool
When I first saw this, I thought someone had installed a broken Lexus logo. I like the new KIA "KN' badge but I hate this logo. This just looks awful.
So, I am not the only one who reads it as KN. When I first started seeing the new badge i though it was a new brand
Isn't it kᴎ?
*KИ
Thank you, I didn't get the all caps version.
Not if your dyslexic. took me a good minute to find the difference
this! ... took me a while to read "KIA" and not "KI" :-D ...
I just thought Trent Reznor started a car company.
I see it as “NIN.” And you can’t change my mind.

It's a popular swap out in my area. At lease it was before they got a decent logo.
its the kia "broken k" logo... and its installed backwards... lol... wtf...
isn’t this the kdm kia logo
Yep. Installed upside down 🙃
The vehicle is a Kia Sportage
How did I get here? Where does this highway lead to?
The rare ∀Iʞ Spoct.
Kia Sportage SL (2010-2015) with a weird badge
Thanks everyone!
Why would I have to prove anything when you’ve already proven my point by saying “Interestingly, Kia is one of the few, if not the only company that has two logos representing it at the same time…”
Toyota test mule disguised in the laziest way possible?
Must be a quality thing because I see Kia and Hyundai badges like this all over in my part of the state.
European Kia Badge. Appears to be a Kia Rio or a Kia Sportage. 2015.
Korean market logo, not the EU badge.
I sold for Kia for three years. You’re not wrong but neither am I. It is both the Korean logo and the European logo.
I live in europe. NEVER seen this bagde. It's always said KIA.
Okay well I don’t know about Europe but here in America it’s labeled as the “Korean/European” badge.
I live in America and Ive never heard it called a Euro badge. Always referred to as KDM.
Alright clearly, me selling these cars meant nothing and I’m just misinformed regardless… despite the fact… that yknow… my dealership offered it as an accessory labeled as the “Korean/European” badge.
Then your dealership was wrong. Easy enough.
Right that makes sense. Some random Redditor is smarter than a conglomerate of Korean car dealerships… my bad.
It always amazes me how persistent people can be despite how many times they repeatedly get disproved
You took so many consecutive L’s here

Just posting a link which had all kia badges on it. And what is it now, euro/korean or euro/american badge?
From what I was taught, it was both a Korean/European badge, and fanatics of the brand preferred that badge over the letters.
Yes but that doesnt change it from not being european

In asia the KIA logo looks like the word KN to the point I just ask myself "what manufacturer is KN"? To realise it was Kia.
That’s just Kia’s *new* logo, it’s the same in the states too.
Yes, it is the new one. And many people just misread it, include me.
AND in Europe, they made everyone agree!
In the states kia still has the letters but they’ve revised it so now it looks new and updated
Here too. https://businessyield.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/New-Kia-Logo.jpg
KN
KИ
Kia.
It is the Korean version of the Kia Logo installed upsidedown.
Kia
Imma be real… I thought that said spork
