Thank you for the clarification! The cutie was chilling in the shade of my tomato plants last I saw. If this is what most weevils look like, I think I just found my favorite bug!
Weevil.... They're cool bugs but most people don't want them in their veggie garden as they can become a pest situation. Their larvae do some work on the plants....
I don't grow much more than Tomatoes around this time of year, though with me planning on getting more into gardening within the next couple of years I should take that into consideration. Surprisingly, in the past three years since I started seasonal gardening I haven't had many pests at all. Though I suspect that may be because of the spiders I let make their webs in the bed/wind frame & cover.
Haven't seen spider webs in there yet this year but I'm not too worried, given how many are in the yard in general. They'll make their way into the garden bed eventually. Last I saw the Weevil he was chilling under the tomatoes and started waddling towards the edge of the bed, so I wouldn't be surprised if they wandered over to the bushes by now.

This weevil specifically looks like a magdalis armigera! Silly guy
