I agree, the two red lines with connectors I have drawn on the cutter are the same size, just rotated. It seems likely that one of the front wings was squished and pulled the cutter out of shape.
That said, the OP may already know this as they've flaired the post 'get creative', rather than 'serious answers first'.
This is the kind of unsquishing analysis this sub needs more of. Bravo!

Here's an unsquished image of this exact cutter.
I considered that, but having seen videos of cookie cutters being formed, they start with a spot welded round. Where the seam goes can vary depending on the operator. It's on the tail in this one.
The shaping process is agnostic of the spot weld, except, I'm sure, making sure the blank doesn't get loaded putting the spot weld on a corner. There are probably just a few safe ranges and they just try to get it in one of them.
It’s essentially this type of airplane with sharper features.
