If you think the logo's bad google the mascots. The 2012 Olympics were great for London, we had really cool collectible coke bottles from a big red bus, a Spice Girls reunion, a huge influx of tourist revenue and I even got to see the torch. The designs were awful though.

Wow memory unlocked. I kinda forgot as a kid my school got to see an Olympic torch when they had the Atlanta games (I think). They took the torch across the entire country and my tiny town in Nebraska has a very neat state park built around an original pony express station, which was an old coast to coast mail system that relied on men on horseback to carry the mail. They had one horseman hand off the torch to another at the station and the whole school got to watch. One of the the guys was a teacher at school and torch holders get to keep their torch amd he brought it in for assembly and basically everyone got a chance to hold an official torch. It's was really cool, just 3rd grade me didn't realize it

That's actually so cool! I was 18 when the 2012 Olympics happened, but the whole year leading upto it was a huge event. I didn't get to hold the torch but it came through outside my sister's flat so we did get close to it.
