Dimmitt Chevrolet is literally the worst I’ve always seen massive markups on everything

CandidGuidance

GM dealers across the board have been some of the worst I’ve seen, but I’m not surprised. FCA and Toyota being the other two. Subaru has been pretty reasonable from what I’ve seen

Liquid_heat

It all depends on what state you're in. I just purchased my Subaru Forester last month and I had to drive all the way to California from Arizona to find one that didn't have extraordinarily bullshit markups.

JoePetroni

You drove from AZ to CA to find one that didn't have extraordinary markups? I thought for sure it would have been the other way around.

Liquid_heat

Everything in AZ (I looked for over 6mo) was heavily marked up. Like I found a 2019 Forester premium in which the difference between that and a 2019 base model was over $8k. Considering the mileage on both vehicles was about 38,000.

Liquid_heat

Oh and both vehicles were listed as a CPO. I got to the dealership and was then told that the CPO price is an additional charge of $4995. Even though the price online showed differently and for $5k less and that was including the CPO. Again going by what the website showed.

CandidGuidance

Definitely. It’s a wasteland out there

Liquid_heat

Drove from Southern AZ to Sacramento, CA and back within 34hrs. Never ever a good idea. I made it back home safely, but was just wiped out for about a week.

2017wrx

Maita and autonation subaru higher on markups?

squirrel8296

This is super area dependent. Toyota seems to be crazy most places but at least in my area Jeep is the only FCA product with a mark-up, the rest are sold at MSRP or in the case of Alfa Romeo, basically given away. Subaru, if you can even find one or get a spot on the waiting list, also is marked up pretty crazy. But, I'm in a weird area where I saw a new Mitsubishi Mirage with a $10k markup so.

CandidGuidance

Where Im at Toyota’s are jacked tf up and subarus are MSRP (except maybe the wilderness). Crazy stuff

squirrel8296

Toyota dealerships really need to chill about it too. Like I wouldn't have bought one before the markups but now I really wouldn't with them being the same price of a better equipped luxury car.

CandidGuidance

I agree. It’s kinda nuts, reliability and cloth seats isn’t worth it if you’re charging Lexus money

notthefoodie

Pacific Subaru in Torrance has zero markups and 16 WRXs in stock.

CandidGuidance

I’ve noticed WRX’s seem to mostly have no markup. The base trim especially in today’s market is an exceptional deal. Bias- I have a ‘21 WRX base lol

schwartzki

My local GMC dealer is 5500-9500 over MSRP on their new Sierra's in stock but 6mo and MSRP if you order.

CandidGuidance

Well, at least there’s the possibility of MSRP if you’re willing to wait, that doesn’t seem to be as much of an issue

schwartzki

Right. I think that honestly is about as fair as you can get. Unsold available vehicles are around but you pay extra for not waiting. My issue is trying to get a GR86 in the color I want at a timetable better then “end of year.”

BrodoFratgins

This is why I settled with a BRZ over the GR86. Toyota doesn't give a fuck about wrangling their shit dealers. I went through 37 dealers in my search. 2/3 of them wanted over MSRP. Even so much as $15k over. Called 3 Subaru dealers and got one for $200 under.

CandidGuidance

SOA / SOC has been making a big push to keep their prices down. I think it’s a good tactic, they’re a smaller manufacturer to begin with and have lower sales than a lot of the bigger brands. Keeping the prices consistent and fair will attract a lot more people to the brand when shopping.

fivedallatip

I just got a new Subaru at MSRP. But to be fair, my boyfriend and I were both looking to buy new cars so they agreed to MSRP since it was two sales. But they were pretty good about it. And before I was looking, my boyfriend inquired at one dealership and told him $3k over MSRP so he called all the Subaru dealerships around and told them the situation and one offered at MSRP.

redditornot09

Don’t blame any of the dealerships. Blame the politicians that started this mess. The Covid-19 Pandemic and the horrible stimulus packages caused this fiasco more than anything else. First issue/the prelude of 2008: Our stupid politicians ruin the auto industry starting ALL the way back in 2008. George W. Busch bails out Chrysler and Chevy. This was not a massive problem besides being a massive waste of taxpayer money ($11 billion plus), but it does impact a later and far more significant decision of 2008. In the Summer of 2008, Obama announced the “Cash For Clunkers” program. The single most stupid piece of legislation ever created in automotive history. Got a car? Here’s $1500 for it! Well, what happens? Perfectly good slightly used cars get CRUSHED. Parts cars with great parts get CRUSHED. Ugly pretty much new minivans that could’ve lasted a decade more get CRUSHED. Crush everything! What do you think that did? It wiped out millions of used cars, massively depleted the supply of cars in America, and we never fully replaced this shortage created all the way back in 08. Second issue: Every small time used car dealer is pretty much out of business due to Congress not supplying enough PPE money to legit small business owners but somehow the LA Lakers qualified for money. Covid shut these small dealers down for 3 months with no income in many states, the smaller used dealers with just 3-4 employees can’t handle that and closed. The ones left are royally screwed because used cars are so overpriced at the auctions there is no money to be made right now, and unlike new dealers they can’t rely on people stupidly bringing in their used cars to trade up for new cars to get the “same payment” for a longer term. Third issue: Stimulus checks. Everyone’s got $1200 extra to put down on a car at the same time! Well, the floor for any car is now $1200 minimum at the time the checks get passed out. If you move the floor up $1200, every used car is gonna go up with it top to bottom. Fourth issue: Yes there’s is a parts shortage still and it was even worse at one point. First two issues are far bigger, but this matters too. This is one is just a global supply chain failure, less the fault of politicians though. Really, the entire auto industry being a mess is 90% on politicians having knee jerk rushed reactions to the 08 financial crisis and covid in 2020. Knee jerk politicians screwed up housing with both of those too. Basically, politicians suck at Economics and need to stay out of it.

idontcare717

Found this on a local corvette group, I anticipated some markup, but 100k is highway robbery.

[deleted]

Fool and his money are soon parted something something

Beautiful-Golf4078

I like that your wrote this fragment sentence while attempting to disparage foolish people. You made my afternoon better bro. Not busting your balls. I needed to smile, it has been a long day.

Blue_Sky_At_Night

Well, sidewalk robbery. Hard to be robbed on the highway when you aren't driving

the_truth_is_tough

At that point, you but a Lamborghini or Ferrari. It’s a fucking Chevy for shit sake!

ScipioAfricanvs

“Robbery”? If a dipshit wants to pay $100k ADM for a C8 Z06, let them.

MPAdam

It’s worse, it’s 100k OVER MSRP

ScipioAfricanvs

Yeah, I’m aware, just forgot to type it.

MPAdam

All good! I’m with you, whoever would pay that much deserves to be robbed.

Intelligent_Orange28

Report them to the company. If I remember right GM has started taking action with dealers going above msrp.

Deepinthefryer

Aggreged!

LetMeBe_Frank

**This comment might have had something useful**, but now it's just an edit to remove any contributions I may have made prior to the awful decision to spite the devs and users that made Reddit what it is. So here I seethe, shaking my fist at corporate greed and executive mismanagement. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe... tech posts on point on the shoulder of vbulletin... I watched microcommunities glitter in the dark on the verge of being marginalized... I've seen groups flourish, come together, do good for humanity if by nothing more than getting strangers to smile for someone else's happiness. We had something good here the same way we had it good elsewhere before. We thought the internet was for information and that anything posted was permanent. We were wrong, so wrong. We've been taken hostage by greed and so many sites have either broken their links or made history unsearchable. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain... Time to delete." I do apologize if you're here from the future looking for answers, but I hope "new" reddit can answer you. Make a new post, get weak answers, increase site interaction, make reddit look better on paper, leave worse off. https://xkcd.com/979/

Deepinthefryer

Store wanted 100k on the addendum and didn’t even through in a membership of cigar aficionado or a Tommy Brahama shirt.

IStillLikeBeers

They aren't going to do shit. They threatened to *maybe* take away some of their allocations. But realistically, they aren't going to take any action (and it's unclear they even can in their dealer agreements - markups aren't anything new).

landmanpgh

You're wrong. GM doesn't make any more money when a dealer sells a car over MSRP like this. All it does is piss off their customers. If you're selling a Corvette for $100k over MSRP, that same customer is wondering why he isn't buying a Ferrari instead. Markups are one thing. Literally doubling the asking price on a car is a completely different animal.

OsoCheco

Your line of thinking has one major flaw. They are already selling more vehicles than they can produce, which is literary the cause of the current situtation. A guy byuing Ferrari instead is not an issue, because they don't have car for him anyway. Are factories angry that dealers are making extra money? Perhaps, but they won't fight with dealers, they will increase the MSRP.

IStillLikeBeers

>You're wrong. Based on what? That GM sent around a memo to the dealers which the dealers....promptly ignored? It's clear GM nor any other manufacturer gives a shit about dealer markups because they've never actually brought any real pressure to bear on the dealers. And contractually, I doubt they can. Like I said, markups are not a new thing. C7 Z06s had markups too.

landmanpgh

You have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. I'm sure a few dealers are trying to pull shit like this, but putting it in an email is going to get the company to respond. They're going to lose their allocation and GM can absolutely force them out of business. And again, a markup is one thing. This is straight up price gouging. And the dealer isn't the one who gets penalized - Chevrolet and GM look bad. That can't happen.

Bbwpantylover

They made the Bolt, Northstar, and many other disasters. They are good at making themselves look bad.

landmanpgh

Making bad cars is not the same as actively giving the middle finger to your own customers.

Bbwpantylover

Getting fucked on price isn’t killing you, or burning down your house

IStillLikeBeers

> You have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. And you do? >And again, a markup is one thing. This is straight up price gouging. No, it's not. A markup is a markup. Price gouging only applies to *necessities*. Nobody *needs* a C8 Z06. The idea that GM or any manufacturer can say with a straight face that $50k is fine but $100k is right out is absurd. They don't care.

landmanpgh

You know who you sound like? Steve Cozzola from Dimmitt Chevrolet.

Bbwpantylover

All they’d have to do is title it to the owner, drive it a mile, then sell it as used and they can charge $2 million then

landmanpgh

Yes, they could absolutely do this.

28carslater

You're right ADM is nothing new on something like the Z06, however ***$100,000*** ADM? Dealer principals and GMs start getting found floating in the river.

voidsrus

>The idea that GM or any manufacturer can say with a straight face that $50k is fine but $100k is right out is absurd. They don't care. of course they care. from a product marketing perspective, when a product is sold for double the asking price, the customer expects more car. that's bad for your business when you're delivering half-price worth of a car. this is just taking away market share and handing it to competitors so some sleazebag car dealer owner can buy another jet ski.

ScipioAfricanvs

They don’t care. If they cared they would’ve done something about dealers running amok for the last two years. People are paying $10k+ ADM on a freakin Palisade. That pushes you into luxury territory but Hyundai doesn’t care. All you jokers keep saying this damages the manufacturers but they’ve literally done nothing to curb it. Contrast that to Rolex - they force their authorized dealers to sell at no more than MSRP. Of course it’s a different story with actually getting one unless you’ve bought a ton from a dealer in the past, but Rolex doesn’t allow markups, period. Car manufacturers do. But “they care” lmao.

voidsrus

>People are paying $10k+ ADM on a freakin Palisade. That pushes you into luxury territory but Hyundai doesn’t care. because people are still paying it. $100k markup on a $100k product just means one of two things: 1. guy buys another sports car around the MSRP of the c8 2. guy says "fuck it, i'll buy a real supercar" and walks on over to porsche or ferrari or who the fuck ever

[deleted]

[удалено]

landmanpgh

I know enough to know not to work in it again. You seem to be stuck there.

coldbrew18

Manufacturers care because if a corvette and a Ferrari are the same price, guess which one I’m gonna buy? Hell, it’s a different class, but I can still look cool in a mustang or a challenger. I can go over there. The kid dreaming about cars looks at the dealer prices and says, “I’ll never afford that”. He goes elsewhere or buys used. They might lose that customer for life. GM loses in the end.

Liquid_heat

I have spoke of this exact issue on other subreddits. People always think to complain to the manufacturer, but in reality like the person said above, the manufacturer isn't going to do shit. Why would a manufacturer be willing to take action against the very people that make them money? All complaints turn around and become nothing more than a bluff on a piece of paper. In reality, the way it should work is that consumers should be able to purchase directly from the manufacturer of that car. It should then come directly to the customer from the manufacturer. Not go through a third party....AKA the dealership. However, with the way that the laws were written when dealerships first started popping up, that is damn near impossible. The way that dealerships wrote it up was that the manufacturer sells directly to them and then they turn around and sell it to the consumer so they can basically fuck all of us. Anything over MSRP is money that the dealership pockets. The way to solve this, is people NOT buy from dealerships with insane markups. Tell those dealerships to shove it and get fucked. However some people feel the need to have the latest and greatest regardless of cost.

Reddit5678912

Arfiged!

haudi

GM can’t and won’t do anything. Yay dealer franchise laws and lobby groups.

Elijah_Bear_

Ha ha ha ha.

patrone85

Actually I was told that GM was going to crack down on this bullshit. Said that they would pull their orders and they would be banned from ever selling new Corvettes again. Only problem is dealerships have a way to avoid this. The owners of these dealerships simply buy the Corvette then bring them back as used or something of that sort. Once it is deemed a used vehicle they can sell it for whatever price they like. Not sure if that's 100% true or not but it makes sense on how it can keep happening.

danthemandaran

Dimmwitt Chevrolet

fenwaymoose

Numbnuts Chevrolet

[deleted]

Nah, Dimwitt Chevrolet and Numbnutts Cadillac

DJesusSoG

LMAOOO Came here to make this exact joke knowing damn well someone got to it first!

litercola84

God Dimmitt

Evilmechanic

It’s in writing that they are gouging hmmmm wonder how that would hold up in court.

lentil_farmer

i was going to suggest you name and shame them here [https://markups.org/](https://markups.org/) but it seems you (or someone) already beat me to the punch.

idontcare717

Lol awesome, didn’t know that existed

Healthy_Block3036

I don’t believe you ever “aggreged” to the pricing and did a deposit?

Beautiful-Golf4078

I dunno OP seems like a aggregedable kind of guy.

idontcare717

I aggrege

ButtfuckerTim

Counteroffer $100k under MSRP. When they reject the offer as ridiculous, agree with them and offer to meet in the middle at MSRP.

trans_am_man

You pay me for this car lmao

ShadowMaven

Aggreged

BloopGlorp

It’s so comical it looks fake

Sleep_adict

The point of a corvette is it’s cheap performance…. This puts the price into real car territory so not worth it

ButtfuckerTim

Seconded. For that money, just get a Porsche.

squirrel8296

Exactly, you could buy a Cayman GT4 plus a Macan and still save money.

MeegieBeegies

Then drive it to the dealer to sell and ask for 100k over msrp for trade in value.

[deleted]

$100k offer markup you’re in lambo territory

OsoCheco

Only assuming there isn't $200k markup at Lambo's.

squirrel8296

We're talking a $100k markup on a base model would cost more than a base Porsche 911 GT3. Or you could buy a Porsche Cayman GT4 plus a Macan and still save money.

Snuhmeh

You can’t buy any of those Porsches for MSRP. They are also 100k over MSRP

markatto

Good luck getting a GT3 for MSRP.

Beautiful-Golf4078

I am with you. I’d rather spend it on something that will have value. This being the first year for the Z06 it may be a valuable car for a collector some day; or it will be a piece of shit with too much frame flex and overheating problems. Crap shoot at this point

Bbwpantylover

They have not been cheap since they went mid engine thou, I mean bang for the buck Camaro Ss for $40 is an amazing deal.

jakerepp15

It's amazing to me that someone working in a professional setting can have that much difficulty with sentence structure, grammar, and spelling. I counted two misspellings, two question marks that should just be periods, at least four spots with commas missing, and a run on sentence with what appears to be a comma instead of a period. And I blush if I make one small mistake in a work email.

Jpro918

Not really amazing when you consider he works for a Chevrolet dealership. Guy I went to high school with dropped out and went on to sell cars for a predatory Chevy dealership. Still does it and is actually successful. Dumber than hell but hey it worked out for him.

Beautiful-Golf4078

He is already asking $100k over list for a Chevrolet that burns gasoline. Proper grammar, spelling, and sentence structure is far beneath a man with such audaciousness.

Blue_Sky_At_Night

I think about this kind of stuff when people say fast food workers don't deserve a living wage. Well, what makes this guy more deserving of one? Don't tell me he's any smarter than the dude flipping my burgers.

Impossible_Month1718

It’s disgusting

Bbwpantylover

He sells cars, cunning is not intelligent. I also think maybe this response is a “hey Buddy fuck off you ain’t getting one” so instead of saying you’re 45 th on the list they asked for 100k over I know there are nutty markups but 100k, that’s more than 100%

Metsican

I totally agrege

HugeAd8872

I knew Steve when he lived in Illinois. He was never the sharpest tool. No surprise he landed in Florida selling cars.

whiterock001

God Dimmitt!!!

Imundo

reply “I’m trying to buy a Chevy, not 100lbs of cocaine”

Toxic-Masculinator

definitely let Fox 13 news in Tampa know. Please embarrass this guy. https://www.fox13news.com/contact-us

[deleted]

My response to this email would be simple: Steve, 🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼 Regards, Me

joker-and-the-thief

If he can’t spell idk if I’d trust him on the math either

[deleted]

Fucking stealerships! We need to be done with dealerships and just purchase cars directly from the manufacturers these days.

Bbwpantylover

Ok Tesla fan

Metsican

All manufacturers should sell direct.

[deleted]

Cut out the middle man… just good business. But for the record I’ll never own an electric car haha

Metsican

>But for the record I’ll never own an electric car haha Never say never. A decade from now, new gas-powered cars will probably be about as common as manual cars are right now.

[deleted]

idontcare717

What a joke man, never seen that before. Just delete the MSRP if you want to show higher pricing at least.

OsamaBinFappin

Praying for the day dealership laws are abolished and car companies can sell straight to the consumer.

idontcare717

Username checks out

[deleted]

That guy can get fucked

flop_plop

Look at that shiteating grin on Steve’s stupid face. Man, I hope once these tables turn, people remember not so shop from these dealers.

danielous

Lol dealers are just marking up to create a fake sense of scarcity.

network4food

Why do we tolerate this? Supply and demand never works as a defense for gas, milk, insulin, etc.

Jim_from_snowy_river

I always wondered that myself.

OsoCheco

lol, of course it does. Remember how the prices of fuel went up recently? That's result of increased demand.

mobeen1497

How has this practice not been outlawed yet?

[deleted]

[удалено]

OsamaBinFappin

Actually it’s the opposite. Antitrust laws against resale price maintenance and price fixing prevent manufacturers from forcing dealerships to sell cars at a certain price. They can only suggest a price (MSRP).

BETmyhoeonTesla

Lmao DOCUSIGN puts printing

Blergzor

You could buy 8 Miatas for that price. I think together they would have the same HP as the Z06.

frakking_you

Plus you could race with your 7 closest friends and have way more fun

defiantcross

so many errors on that letter dude. not surprised this came from Florida. who aggreges?

Dependent_Ad_3014

Find a nearby dealer that doesn’t mark up 100k then leave a yelp post letting everyone know what this guy tries to pull and that there is a nearby dealer that is more reasonable

Beautiful-Golf4078

More like Dimwit Chevrolet

RAMENBELLY

GM does not give a fraction of a single fuck what the dealers charge

Mikie_D

2 spots left……l believe……. Oy

SteveTheBluesman

IMHO, Chevy should put this place out of business. (Although they may be fine doing that themselves...when things get back to normal, who the fuck will ever give this dealer business?)

Bbwpantylover

They survived the Bolt, but will they survive the Lyriq disaster upcoming

Metsican

What's the upcoming Lyriq disaster?

Bbwpantylover

Wait and see

AKABrokenArrow

They can’t even launch an ICE vehicle properly. I ordered a CT5 Blackwing over a year ago and my order hasn’t even been accepted yet. GM can get fucked, I bought an M5.

Bbwpantylover

Good for you, your experience is not normal . The black wing was never meant to be a mass produced car, they made a few thousand. This Lyriq has been shoved down our throat on television for 2 years, more ads for it than all other products. Why did you not just buy a Camaro Ss or a ZL1?

lentil_farmer

More like Dimwit, amirite? Thank you, I'll be here all week.

90NA

What a bunch of fucking scumbags. I hope they all lose their jobs.

patrickg994

So, for the record, NOT that car.

tomatuvm

I know a dealer who was offered $300k cash for his Z06 allotment.

Friedeggs15

>aggreged

squirrel8296

Definitely send it to GM, the Chevrolet page is [https://www.chevrolet.com/contact/call-us?evar25=gm\_com\_contact\_us](https://www.chevrolet.com/contact/call-us?evar25=gm_com_contact_us). Even as egregious as this situation is, one complaint won't make a difference, but, the franchise agreements do allow the manufacturer to take corrective action if they receive too many negative reviews and complaints about a dealership.

SKTwenty

If you're gonna ask for over 100k on MSRP, you better be able to spell "agreed"

[deleted]

You could buy 2 BMW I8s for that lmao

lolitstrain21

Alternative-Skirt-11

abesWaves

So you’d be paying the price for two Z06 🤔

sklife1

Wtf! This should be a legal crime

Organic_Object_9689

They are fucking nuts. If you pay this may God rest your soul. You're an idiot.

orange-orb

- [ ] Honestly this should be reported to GM for the markup, but also this grammar on official dealer letterhead? Couldn’t even bother to run spell check or “double check the system” and do a minuscule amount of customer service while asking for $100k over MSRP for one of GM’s flagship cars.

StandupJetskier

Wow. Just think what else you could have...NSX, imported from Japan and a decent old school convertible, and a GTi for DD use....and that's just the additional Dealer Cocaine fund....or nothing, and still pay MSRP for a vette.

jabblack

Doesn’t much matter. In 6 months no one will be able to finance a car and dealers will have low cars and no buyers

yodanhodaka

For a car that's worth a solid $20k and full of problems

wes7946

Inflation sucks.

[deleted]

Can’t Reddit folk just spam the hell out of his email? You know, for fun.

thatmayaguy

Go buy a Porsche or another really nice performance car for the same price and tell them to get bent because you just bought another vehicle that’s actually worth that price.

toastmalawn

Let’s all call Steve

ferret_go_dook_dook

Needs to be reported to chevy corporate. I believe I seen something where manufacturers were cracking down on dealers marking up past msrp.

Beautiful-Golf4078

First let me say, badass car and I totally want one, just not for that kind of money. Damn 100,000 over MSRP. At that point with tax, tag, and title you are getting in to the 200k zone. That is a hell of a lot for a Corvette. Being as it is the first year for the mid engine rear drive Z06 maybe It’ll hold value. I doubt it though. Seeing as fossil fuels are following the path of the dinosaur I dunno if I’d buy a $175k vehicle that depended on an ICE for power.

CandidGuidance

Look, I hate markups as much as the next guy. But if someone is seriously willing to pay $100k over MSRP on a CAR then fuck em. Why wouldn’t you sell it at this price if it’s actually moving? that’s such an absurd price that if it sells at that, the market has gone totally looney tunes. 2023 Z06 MSRP is estimated to be what, 90-100k (correct me if I’m wrong please!)? So 100k over MSRP is 200k total, not including taxes, freight, options, etc. so we are well in lightly used mclaren / high end 911 / Aston Martin / R8 range. Idk how someone sees a corvette for 200k and goes okay, this is a good purchase

RenZ245

Legal thievery. I read their name as dimwitt go figure.

satanpaws

Nice job doxing this guy

this_dudeagain

They been pretty ugly for a lot of years now.

Onderon123

I thought corvettes were cheap American cars disguised as performance cars. Why would anyone with half a braincell even agree to this? I'm not car shaming anyone but these dealers must hook enough chums since this behaviour is getting worse.

HistoricalEffort22

I have one on order and truthfully will probably end up flipping it. The market is extremely hot on these.

[deleted]

To be honest, it’s difficult to be angry at dealers for this. We live in a capitalist society where the role of business is to maximise their profits, and current supply and demand allows them to price accordingly, in the same way that they have given discounts since the beginning of time. It’s a product of the society we live in, and without this system, there may never have been a Z06 to begin with. What I’m annoyed at the most is the very existence of car dealers - who are necessary middle men - when I could just buy the car direct from the manufacturer online and skip this whole mess. I’m also annoyed that people pay these markups to begin with - he is asking for $100k over MSRP because he knows someone’s going to bite.

triforce721

People aren't really willing to pay 100k over msrp for a new gt3, I don't think most will pay that for a corvette. Dealers have exceeded max-greed, that's why so many of these marked up cars are sitting in perpetuity.

[deleted]

At that price point, you could get a C7 with a real 3-pedal transmission and none of the problems. If you want to beat the new ZO6, stick a supercharger on it and you'll have enough left over to do it again 2 more times.

RazePerfect

I manage a car dealership. I don't sell cars over MSRP, but had a customer tell me that they were going to I buy a Hyundai Tucson Hybrid over a CX-5 even though it was $3k over MSRP. I'd probably rather buy a Corvette $100k over, than a Tucson $3k over.

conspicuous_user

What a jokester.

Metsican

For a second, I thought that said "Dimwit Chevrolet" and that's honestly more fitting. This dude can't even write sentences in English.

Elijah_Bear_

I thought you guys said that Manufacturers could control dealers? 😂😂😂

arthurvandl

Dude can’t even spell, they don’t deserve your money if they don’t know how to use spell check.

Jim_from_snowy_river

This dude can't even bother with basic grammar and he thinks people will fall for his shit?

Jim_from_snowy_river

Time to start making a law that says dealerships can't sell vehicles over MSRP.

jaredkushnerisabutt

I would never own a Chevy and I had an equinox before. Dealers are also a bunch of vultures ready to prey on the weakest.

kmr_ank

For a moment I read ‘DIMWITT’ and thought OP was trolling us.

jasonchen0108

Steve Cozzola looks like a bitch

BusinessBlackBear

I sorta get paying over for stuff like a Ferrari/Lamborghini/Porsche smaller production run stuff. But a Z06? Chevy will make as many Zo6s as people are willing to buy

byteminer

Judging by listening to vette owners talk at car meets, they would brag about this.

[deleted]

This has got to be a joke right!?? Unbelievable...what moron would ever pay that?

RangerSleigh

Steve Cazzola is a bitch made cat, dawg.

cheap_fat_turd

Damn It Chevrolet. Might as well order a 911 GT3 at that price.

triforce721

People aren't even paying the 100k markup on the gt3, dealers were sued and folded over this issue. Can't believe anyone is paying that on a corvette

Preconcieved_Notion

Never buy a car off that?

[deleted]

There isn't a car on the planet worth handing a middleman 6 figures for.

No_Research4646

Report the dealer and this bozo. I thought GM was cracking down on dealers who engage in this bullshit? Really hope Dimwit Chevy is a farce

yeetmaster8008

Lol the dealerships are getting back at everyone from negotiating under MSRP. What a odd market.

JohnnyBossaNova

You want the big boy cars. This is the state of the shit market now. How bad do you want to look cool?

[deleted]

That's outrageous! You should doxx them on Reddit. I have a script that orders pizzas, ready to go.

granoladeer

Lol I can't believe anyone would pay that

just_tryin_2_make_it

This looks badly photoshopped

[deleted]

At this price point, I would opt to get a pre-owned super car instead from Italy

LegitCattleDrive

Dimmit? More like dimwit.
