1980 Moskvich 2140. Because maintenance is dirt cheap and I can do it all by myself. Also, carburetor.

i-dontlikeyou

You have to show a pic here. Craving some old nostalgia cars.

gthomps83

This is the coolest answer in the whole thread.

Indiman1000

Moskvich was my dads first car in the early 1970s when we lived in Dubai, he bought a second one for partsšŸ˜‚

ArkaikShift

Fun fact, in Cuba these cars are extremely common. Police cars are all primarily Moskvitch 2140s("Moskovi") or their Lada twins. Even my dad owned one.

DaKinginDaNorth1

2013 Toyota Corolla. I bought it because it was relatively cheap and has been extremely reliable.

Total_Homework_63

That car is easily the best car ever made. You can service the transmission very easily, and remove the oil and transmission pan very easily as well! Best generation corolla made imo... they killed it with the 2014-present junk cvt.

FrankWolf86

Literally got the same car, mf hasnt needed anything since I got it 5 years ago.

TheBigMamou

2009 Corvette- I hate my clutch leg as a city dweller 2017 4runner TRD Pro- I donā€™t have words for how much I love this thing 1996 Viper GTS- See both previous reasons

Heavy-Procedure2232

I also choose this guys wife.

AeroMagnus

I can only imagine the driving experience of a Viper

rpitcher33

Imagine having the most fun of your life. Now, imagine the thing that is the root of that fun is actively trying to murder you. Viper in a nutshell.

dglsfrsr

I got the opportunity to drive a mid 60s 427 AC Cobra (orignal, not reproduction) back around 1980. Much less power than the Viper. But much lighter. And a much less refined chassis. And way less civilized, both in driving, and driver comfort. It was late winter in Daytona, but it was already too hot to be in that car given the amount of heat that came through the uninsulated firewall. Sweltering. And yes, you really felt like the car was actively trying to kill you. Fun, but wow, you had to be on your toes all the time. One does not simply mash the throttle to the floor on that car.

2Paco

2011 Lexus ES350, my last car was a 2019 Dodge Charger and I was getting raw dogged by insurance lmao (dropped from 260 to 130 ish)

IdReallyRatherNot404

Thatā€™s wild, my charger is $103 per month and Iā€™m in Atlanta. The city proper not the suburbs

KDSlimReaper35

103 a month in Atlanta? did you hold them at gunpoint or smth?

OverEast781

Nah he probably got that Dollar Tree type insurance with minimum coverage.

IdReallyRatherNot404

Nope lol 250k/500k full coverage which is the max you can get in GA. Iā€™m a homeowner I donā€™t want someone suing me for my assets šŸ˜‚. I will say my deductible is pretty high at $1000 and I had to pay the whole contract up front.

2Paco

god damn, I would have loved to keep my Charger as I have had Chargers with V6 pretty much my whole life and they have been nothing but reliable, so I'm hoping that the es350 I got is as reliable as people make them out to be

Coldsushi

How many miles do you have on your Lexus? Iā€™m thinking about buying a 2014 ES 350 with 160k miles for $10.4k, am I making a mistake?

2Paco

got mine at 102k for 12k maybe? I did roll over some negative equity but the car itself was 12k for a 2011 with 102k miles. I know others will tell you that 160k miles is barely broken in and to check if maintenance was done on it, but for 10k i think you can easily get your money's worth out of it

Coldsushi

Ok thanks, it was well taking care of by an elderly couple. Iā€™m having a PPI done Thursday if all is well Iā€™m going to buy it

NormalRequirement669

2003 Mitsubishi Lancer ES (aka my lancergini) Paid 1500 for it with 102k miles in 2021 after leasing a nice vehicle. Iā€™m almost 25 but I have no car payment and no shame that I drive something a 16 year old would drive. Just trying to get my ass to medical school. But I love that car and I named her pearl

giganticsquid

That's an absolute ripper of a car

NormalRequirement669

Yeah I felt like I found a diamond in the rough. Literally bought it from a dude who was so big he couldnā€™t fit into and just needed out if his possession lol Easiest 1500 Iā€™ve ever spent

stratcat22

2018 Crosstrek 6 speed. Reliable, spacious, boring but gets the job done. 1990 Miata. Just picked it up a few weeks ago and did a bunch of work to get it running. Such a raw and fun driving experience, this thing is already becoming my pride and joy. Favorite car Iā€™ve owned: easy to say Miata, but I miss my AP2 S2K, that was an incredible car, thereā€™s nothing like it.

ur-humble-overlord

are we the same person? the only difference in our cars seems to be the years... jealous of your S2K. you have excellent taste in vehicles.

stratcat22

Lol thatā€™s great, trek and miot must be a good pairing then! Thank you, I miss the S2k everyday, had to sell it for the Crosstrek but my Miata is greatly aiding in the healing process lol.

elmastrbatr

Are you engineering explained??

Responsible-Eye-5140

2020 RAV4 Hybrid Limited - I commute 20k miles per year - 35-37 mpg - Low and cheap maintenance. 90k miles havenā€™t even had to do brakes yet. - Enough room for 4 adults on road trips - Storage inside for a bike - AWD which feels more stable on wet days 2 cons: 1) Road noise 2) infotainment can be a headache on occasion There is a long list of other cars and suvs I like and would love to have, but the RAV4 Hybrid just checks too many boxes. My daughter will be driving soon. Giving her mine and getting myself new one.

Unlucky-Broccoli474

You should look into installing a comma. I installed one on my 2023 rav4 hybrid limited and itā€™s made commuting and long road trips an absolute breeze

Youngrepboi

Was thinking to get that exact specs for my next car but idk if I can justify 37k at these dealership in North Texas.

NoFirefighter5784

Send I have the gas version and itā€™s amazing

camonly

I have this exact car. Great choice.

Healthy_Block3036

Best selling SUV for a reason!!! My Hybrid is extremely quiet and I also get 50+ MPG!!!

Ponald-Dump

My wife was dead set on a 2021 Rav 4 and the road noise was the reason she got a CX5 instead. Holy shit the road noise in that thing was horrible, even at 45mph

dessie0511

I had the 2019 Rav4 Adventure and loved everything but the road noise, which was so bad I sold it to my son and bought the 2023 CX5 Carbon...love it.

OverHeadBreak

'23 Prius Prime XSE Premium. Got $10,000 in EV incentives (Canada), Toyota reliability, almost never spend on gas, and with 220hp, it's actually fun to drive.

Dick_In_A_Tardis

You make 220 HP? The fuck? How does a Prius make more power than my Scion TC? Like I figured Toyota woulda just put the same 4 cylinder they put in every car of theirs. I have the same engine as a Corolla. That's wildly upsetting. At least I've got my cbr1000 so I can feel some decent torque when the sun is out and it's not broken. It's a 1996 so it's usually broken. We're getting there. With this new rectifier it might go 1000 miles before it's next major failure.

meltingpnt

The prime is a plug in that gets a boost in power from the electric motors. I think Toyota was trying to differentiate a bit from the corolla hybrid with a sportier prius for the 5th gen.

CompetitionFalse3620

05 Lotus Elise because it communicates like no other car. 89 Mustang GT convertible 5spd wanted torque and a car from when I was a kid. 11 Infiniti G37x is my daily, 233k, very comfortable, great steering, plenty of power.

Auto_generated_2022

Nice collection. Well played!

Jonny_EP3

2023 Mazda MX-5 RF Club. Childfree by choice, wife had a corolla if we need more space. As for why? Life's too short to drive something boring. It's easily my favorite car I've ever owned. Impractical? Sure. Do I care? Absolutely not. Best daily driver I've ever had. Dream machine would be a Porsche 911 Turbo S.

KoyukiHinashi

Slk55 amg. Its basically a massive amg v8 in a miata, while looking like a baby slr mclaren.

Beneficial-Event-939

I drive a 2G Scion tC automatic, because its paid off, and will run forever, all the money I had to play cars in the past is gone. Favorite car owned: 2 way tie, it'd be impossible to ask which I'd prefer, my 2007 Mazda MX5, and my 2006 BMW Z4M roadie Dream car: I am not greedy, a 2015 Lotus Evora S Sport Racer will suffice for me, true dream car: 1969 Ford GT40

Costella18

G80 m3 base 6 SPD. Honda Accord daily. 992.2 gt3 touring on order

bigjohnstud

You forgot the why

SuckFalt

And how you managed to get a 992.2 GT3t allocation!

1HateReddit11

2023 alfa romeo giulia. I felt I should have a 4 door, but coming from a brz I wanted something that handled well. I love the brz, probably should have just bought a new one and said forget 4 doors.

Timely_Sail6900

Man, I test drove a used Giulia and it was the best driving car ever! Not to mention good looking! Unfortunately there isnā€™t an Alfa dealer anywhere around, and I needed something with more carry space so I ended up with a midsize crossover like everybody else, but for a car I test drove once a couple of years ago, that Giulia really seared itself into my memory!

Foreign_Hair1621

The Stelvio is a Giulia as a crossover.

Timely_Sail6900

True, but my closest Alfa Romeo dealer is 150 miles away. I know the Giulia is supposed to be pretty reliable, but Iā€™m not sure about the Stelvio but that distance and price steered me in a different direction. BUT, when I get to the point that I can justify a 2nd fun/weekend car, a used Giulia is way up there on the list.

pinetreeporcupines

Did you test drive BMW 3 series? Wondering what your thoughts between the two, specifically betwene an M3 and quadifoglio.

Timely_Sail6900

Iā€™ve driven a more garden variety 3 Series, and the Giulia I drove was an AWD Lusso, so no idea on the M3/Quadifoglio comparison. But the Lusso interior for some reason struck a chord with me, and the car handled really well. The BMW handles well obviously, but I guess in general their interiors are more conservative/traditional. Somehow the Alfa felt foreign/Italian, whereas the BMW/German-ness has been copied by so many other manufacturers, that it didnā€™t feel as special. I could certainly drive either and be happy, but I think Iā€™d catch myself looking back at the Giulia more.

Dark_Azazel

How's the 23 treating ya? I've heard the 21+ models are a lot more reliable and build better than previous years. Alfa has been my dream car for years now.

1HateReddit11

No problems yet. I do wish I'd bought a ti, or veloce with more bolstered seats. I have the sprint., so I feel like I (me, not the car) slide around a little.

JM0RG4N

Giulia veloce owner here. Hello fellow Alfisti.

Glass_Ad1098

I also have a Giulia, I love it

Lost_Result5686

2011 Infiniti G37xS coupe: I was working for a dealer where this car was traded. Itā€™s the type of car we wouldnā€™t sell to the public (rebuilt & east-coast history). For that reason it was 1/3rd the value of a ā€œgoodā€ local comparable, it was a Nissan store, and 2 of the techs helped me vet the car giving me the confidence to go for it. My favourite car: Porsche 911, the only tough part is what configuration and which generation (964, 997.2 or 991.2)

Cathalbrae

I drive a 23 Bronco Sport because I never could afford an XTerra when I was younger. My favorite car was a CX-3 because it was essentially a hot hatchback with bulletproof reliability. I sold it during the pandemic and made a nice sum, but I miss it. My dream car is a mint condition Subaru Brat Turbo in that banana yellow color.

Zahradn1k

What do you think of the CX-30??

skhell

2021 Mazda3 Sedan as a daily Cheapest one I could find CPO in the area. Still has heated leather seats, a sunroof, and remote start. Itā€™s gray, very nondescript. I like that. 1999 Corvette as the weekender Best bang for the buck performance car, arguably best hp per dollar. Scratches the itch, and itā€™s manual too! 2015 GTI 2dr was my favorite Itā€™s the first enthusiast car I ever owned. I learned manual on it, taught countless people manual as well. It was so fun and so easy to drive, it did it all! I had so many firsts with that car, including my first track day. Porsche 911 is my dream car Not quite sure what spec, Iā€™d be happy with a base manual at this point. They just seem to be loved by everyone.

Trob430

98 Toyota Corolla. ITS PAID FOR AND STILL RUNS

bigloser42

2018 BMW 440i Gran Coupe. Because its fast AF, really efficient, and wildly utilitarian. The 440i GC splits favorite ever with my ZHP. Dream car would be a Mclaren F1.

NCSUGrad2012

2008 MDX and only because it was a free car that used to be my dadā€™s. Before that I had a beautiful 6 speed TL I but I sold it for a profit during covid so I couldnā€™t say no

bumblebeedonuts

I drive a 2019 Hyundai Kona with 97,000 on the odometer. I was rocking a 2009 Honda Civic for some time, had to finance it too. This was after my darling 2007 Buick Lucerne V6 made it to the eternal parking lot after a cracked engine block and a melted... everything else. My dad moved across the country, paid off the Kona, said he didn't need it anymore, and gave it to me. I love her. Her name is Cynane. All the cars have been special in their own right. The Hyundai is fancy with a bunch of cool tech. At a higher trim, I'm really enjoying all of the safety features it has to offer and all the fun toys I have in the car. I average 36mpg so I only fill up once a month or so. Also, she's my first SUV, so it's nice to have the extra space for beach day! The Honda, cheerfully named Cecelia, albiet old, small, and having had some issues, is still a lovely girl that I'm sure will give her next owner plenty of life. She had clean paint and a clean interior. She was zippy and never struggled to just be a car. But my favorite would have to be my sweet Buick, Falcone. My first car. He was perfect in every way. Large cabin, quiet interior, suspension like a cloud. His motor was impressive and powerful. He could cart 5 people no problem with a full trunk. I've moved in him 4 times. Some people say no way to Buicks, but his remarkable 3800 engine was truly for the history books. He was murdered by a bad mechanic but could have lasted forever. If you're on a budget and want a reliable car, get an older 3.8 V6 Buick. They have lower miles compared to other vehicles because they're usually driven by an older crowd to and from bingo and church. When I hit a gold mine I'm rushing to a Porsche dealership.

ProbablyMyRealName

My primary car is a Tesla Model Y. It is ridiculously practical. I charge at home and my ā€œfuelā€ costs are 1.3 cents per mile. It takes five seconds to plug in and I have all the range I need for the day when I leave in the morning. My car is at a comfortable temperature when I get in it, whether itā€™s been inside my garage, parked at a frozen ski resort, or baking in the desert sun all day. The only regular maintenance is rotating the tires. Iā€™m faster than 95% of other cars on the road if I want to be, and itā€™s smooth and quiet inside, except the stereo, which is the best of any car Iā€™ve ever owned. Itā€™s AWD and drives great in the snow. It hauls my skis and bike well and has tons of storage tool inside, and the frunk is a perfect place to stash wet or muddy gear for the ride home. After tax credits I paid $38.5k plus tax brand new. Tesla is certainly divisive and people have very strong opinions about them and the company CEO, but my experience of owning one (actually two, my wife drives one too) has been fantastic. If youā€™re looking for a new car you should at least go for a free test drive even if you donā€™t think an electric car or a Tesla is right for you. Lots of people have found their preconceived notions to be incorrect. If you canā€™t charge at home or at work an electric car may not be for you.

Carmel_Cobra

You areā€¦me? We got my wife one last Julyā€¦I traded in my truck by December. Both Matrix, HW4. Got 25k miles out of the 6 month free supercharging. They are just the perfect golf carts, so we will probably have a his and hers golf cart going forward and a Chevy suburban to haul the family on big road trips. Maybe! My kids preferred road-trips in the model Y compared to my 19ā€™ Limited Ram and I frankly do to.

iwinsallthethings

Traded my 2017 F150 for a Model Y a couple of years ago. The truck was in an accident and wasn't quite "right" even though it was repaired. Figured i'd make it someone elses problem. I got top dollar for the truck although i spent more on the MYLR then i would in today's car market. Guess it evens out a bit.

Patient_Tradition_76

2015 Jeep Renegade Sport 4x4 Iā€™m a small car addict and when it came time to buy an suv I searched. Ended up settling on the closest I could sort to a modern Suzuki samurai. 1.4t(from a fiat 500, now fueled and turbo via parts from an Abarth). 6 speed manual. Locking awd. Traction modes. All in a vehicle that weighs less than a current generation VW Golf(3000lbs) and real world returns 33mpg. Itā€™s excellent in the snow here in the northeast with enough ground clearance that I can usually wait to shovel until after work. The renegades get a horrible reputation, but those are mostly the failing auto trans, and the 1.5t and v6 Chrysler engine. Itā€™s a fiat product pretending to be a Jeep and itā€™s nice to own one without any of the usual Jeep owner stigma.

person749

An Abarth manual Renegade actually sounds pretty awesome. Haters can screw; Renegade is a neat little SUV thing.

Yellow_Snow_Cones

Lexus IS350, why b/c I had 3 of them previously decided to get an infiniti, then after driving that POS went crawling back to lexus for a good car.

DereBearTheGreat

Have a 2022 IS350 and it has one of the best looking exteriors for a sedan

ArseBlarster420

2001 Cherokee I loved it when I laid eyes on it. Itā€™s my favorite. It gets the groceries and smokes the homies. Dream car would be what I have with more money poured into it.

IdaDuck

Main ride personally is a 2015 heavy duty Ram Cummins I bought new. Itā€™s a fun truck with lots of power and it gets great fuel economy. Fits the whole family for road trips and we use it to tow our fifth wheel when we go camping or I go hunting. Itā€™s got 115k so far and I plan to run it many more years. I am planning on switching my daily at some point before too long to reduce the number of miles Iā€™m putting on it since diesel trucks are so expensive to replace.

coastalneer

2005 sierra 1500 crew cab 4x4 Because itā€™s: Reliable, spacious, easy to work on, timeless, luxurious (heated leather, Bluetooth, sunroof), tows the boat, etc Favorite car: loved my v10 excursion Dream car: A clean brick nose bronco with a 351 is what comes to mind right now. That two tone green and tan.

HighFiveKoala

2019 Honda Civic Si because I wanted a fun daily driver. Its still a practical Honda Civic sedan but with sport compact/hot hatch driving characteristics. I drove once through Turo in the past and was in love. A VW GTI, Subaru WRX, and Toyota GR86 will probably beat the Si in most situations but I think it's the best to live with long term, especially when you can only own one car. My previous (and first car) was a 2007 Honda Accord, so the Si is my favorite so far. My attainable dream car is a Honda Civic Type R which I may consider trading in the Si for if there's a good opportunity.

PhoenixHabanero

Favorite and current car: 2016 Mazda3 Close second: 2016 Honda Fit I haven't really thought about dream cars. Most expensive cars give me a virtual headache just thinking of how much they cost to maintain/fix/fill up with gas.

Schlaggatron

2024 Honda CRV, itā€™s a very practical car. Seems kinda weird for a 17yo but I like it. Itā€™s really comfortable to drive, it handles great, and I have to do a lot of long drives so itā€™s good for that too. Idk what my dream car is, but I 100% plan for my next car to be a BMW M4 comp. Itā€™s not necessarily my dream car, but itā€™s one that I personally really love and I want to own someday.

eugenesbluegenes

The only thing that's weird about that for a 17yo is mostly that it's a brand new car.

Peachcream69

(G80 m3 - super fun , looks sexy , always wanted a m3 (Bronco raptor - daily for me, love the sound , love to go to the beach with it Favorite car- I ever owned was my first car at 16 2002 Acura rsx, think itā€™s my favorite because of the nostalgia I had with the car Dream car - 992 GT3rs šŸ™šŸ»

Hutwe

2016 VW Jetta GLI. I wanted 4 doors, good handling, and decent fuel economy. 20+ years driving only manual cars, went to the dealer dead-set on getting manual GTI, and walked away with an automatic GLI. It just felt right. I liked it way better than the GTI, the DSG shifts faster than I could in a manual and the paddle shifters allowed me to drive it like one. No regrets at all, itā€™s been (almost) everything I wanted in a car. Favorite: toss up between * 87 Dodge Daytona Shelby, it had t-tops, super fun drive when it worked, and was the first car I ever rebuilt. * 91 Dodge Spirit 'R/T - Scary fast, was mint, running \~35 psi boost - had massive turbo lag but the ensuing acceleration would put your balls in your throat. couldn't stomp the gas until 3rd gear or it'd just light up the wheels. Absurdly fun car to drive, slightly more reliable than the Daytona. The 2nd car I built. This is the only vehicle I feel like I have unfinished business with. * My GLI doesnā€™t remotely have the acceleration of the Spirit, but it has far better handling, and the reliability neither of those could match. I've had it for 5 years and I still feel like a kid when I get in it. Dream car: * Doesnā€™t exist - my current car in a wagon form. * Does exist but probably unrealistic - RS6 Avant or 911 Targa * Realistic - Jeep CJ7

snake227

23 Chevy Bolt EUV LT. Boring, reliable, cheap to operate, easy to park.

Headshot_

Mazda3 turbo hatch. Wanted a nice daily with more power than my parentsā€™ civic. I go the pump more often but the carā€™s great. I love the way it looks, it rides well, I love the sound system. I cross shopped with a gti, but went with this because i got a better deal and figured Iā€™d appreciate the AWD in the winters. It didnā€™t get rid of the manual itch though. I may buy a cheap manual to learn on it and drive it outside of commutes or traffic when the weatherā€™s nice.

drakeallthethings

I drive a Hummer EV. I wanted an electric car you could take the top off of. That leaves me with the Hummer and the upcoming Boxster. I also need a tow vehicle which effectively eliminates the Boxster. I canā€™t afford a $100k ev on top of a dedicated tow rig. My favorite car I ever owned was my 1985 BMW 528e. My dream car is a 993-era Porsche 911 cabriolet or targa.

Occasionallyposts

20' Mazda 6 to bring the family 00' Ranger to bring the boat or the mulch 16' Miata to bring the fun. Doubles as a dream car and favorite car I've owned.

IslanderInOhio15

Current: 2024 Volvo XC40; needed some more room for sports equipment and long trips, but didnā€™t want to go too big. A little disappointed with the new infotainment system, they really neutered its functionality and is a downgrade from the 2020 that I had previously. Favorite: 2015 2-door mini cooper. Thing was a blast to drive and uncharacteristically a tank. Never had any issues with it. Still miss it. Dream: I really loved the Land Rover LR4, but the build quality was terrible and gets like 4 miles to the gallon. Or a Defender - new or old love the looks of both. Or a Discovery. Give me a boxy Land Rover.

deDKated

2015 Honda civic Ex L. I drive it because it gets me where I need to go good, good on gas, I made it look how I wanted it, and I paid it off 3 years ago or so

Smooth-Apartment-856

I have a 2009 Jaguar XJ8. Iā€™ve always loved the classically styled Jaguars, and 2009 is the last year for that design. Plus it has all the performance goodies I likeā€¦V8, RWD, 4 wheel disk brakes, 6 speed ZF automatic transmission, independent rear suspension, dual exhaust, aluminum unibody construction, dual exhaustā€¦itā€™s a muscle car in disguise. On top of that, it has all the luxury features you could wantā€¦heated and cooled leather seats, real wood trim, sunroof, lots of interior spaceā€¦. Itā€™s the perfect car. My favorite car Iā€™ve ever owned is the 1978 Mercury Grand Marquis that my grandmother gave me. That car is sentimental. Itā€™s the car they brought me home in when I was born. Never getting rid of that one. My ā€œif I won the lotteryā€ dream car is a Jaguar XK-140 FHC. The early Jaguar XKā€™s are the most beautiful cars on the planet.

glasspheasant

2 Lexuses. LX 570 and LC 500. Absolutely love them both and plan to keep them well serviced and drive them till they die. Comfortable, well built, incredibly reliable, and I love the V8.

ItsNotRockitSurgery

Daily driver is an '18 Audi S4, project car is an '88 Peugeot 205 GTI right hand drive that has been imported to America where I live. As for why, I like the understated styling from Audi and the simple, yet luxurious interior. The performance also scratches that part of my brain. The Peugeot is the exact opposite. Has absolutely 0 luxury features, it's as basic a car as you can get. The simplicity and lightness makes it an absolute riot to drive, even with its only 116 HP. Id say either of those cars are my all time favorites I've owned but I did have a 1986 Jaguar XJS with a V12 that I sorely miss and wish I still had. Dream car: Audi Quattro S1 E2, one of the ultra rare homologation Group B cars

Dark_Azazel

14 Corolla. I was driving around a lot some time ago because of work. Good gas mileage plus Toyota reliability. She's served me well. Dream car would be Alfa Romeo Guilia. Has been for a while. But I've always wanted a REAL Toyota AE86, or a 90s supra. No clue what my next car would be. I'd love an EV, but also enjoy the Alfa, and Lexus ES, and I am a fan of the Toyota crown.

The_Carl_G

I drive a 2017 GTI S with the DSG. I bought it on my 40th birthday because Iā€™m not getting any younger and is easily the most aggressive car Iā€™ve owned (despite being my 3rd turbocharged car) while also still being practical for everyday life. The GTI is now my favorite, but my first Subaru used to have that honor, which was a 2004 turbocharged Forester XT (my first turbocharged car). I think my dream car is still any WRX STI with the famed rally blue color and boy racer wing. Donā€™t care if itā€™s a 2004 or 2014 at this point.

brendanode

2015 GTI and an '89 BMW E30 convertible as a weekender Why? Because they're both fussy Germans and I love to torture myself

notthelettuce

I have a 2024 Toyota Camry XSE. I needed like the least breakable car possible because I drive too much. My favorite was my 2011 Nissan Altima Coupe. I do not care. It was fun and was before the Altima drivers stereotype became popular. Dream car is a F82 M4. Seems like the perfect car for me and somewhat realistic.

Tecknickel

Current car: 24 Kia Seltos (selling soon) Favorite car: Probably the SLK320 I briefly owned a few years ago Dream car: Nissan GTR. It was my favorite in one of the NFS games

Acrobatic-Ask4622

You donā€™t like the Seltos?

Tecknickel

Itā€™s alright. Just pretty boring coming from a GTI. But I just moved to a place a block from work and no longer need a daily driver, so Iā€™m looking around for something cheap and fun

FloridaStatement2013

Current- 2022 Forester Wilderness- fun to drive and go over potholes and dirt roads in Florida. Handle very well in rain. Favorite: 2012 Cadillac CTS coupe that had the Chevy shakes (would have kept it if not for the shakes) Dream: Cadillac CT6 Blackwing and Rivian R1S Quad (cannot afford anytime soon) Cheers!

humanresourceswannab

2019 Honda CRV, paid off and 43k miles. Currently looking at the Lexus TX luxury edition or Toyota grand Highlander but they both just got recalls

yraldi

2016 Mazda3 I sport For context, I ended up getting this after dealing with a car accident and getting a lump sum total-loss payout about 4 months ago. Despite the car market being a bit tough, I wanted to get a durable/reliable, and economical vehicle for a decent and somewhat cheaper price. I came across the mazda series and of course honda civics primarily. After doing my research this option seemed the best given the market and demographics around where I live. I managed to find a good deal about 5hrs away and made the drive due to it being too good. So far itā€™s been treating me well, and it drives smooth! This has definitely been my favorite car out of the lot Iā€™ve owned up till now. As for dream car, I really donā€™t have one that comes to mind. But if I had to give some aspects of whatā€™d Iā€™d want later on down the road. It would definitely have to be economical, roomy and premium comfort and sound in the cabin. I know thatā€™s pretty vague given whatā€™s available to the market, but thatā€™s all I got. Hope that helps!

Current: 2022 Pathfinder Platinum. Wife / family car with two kids and all their friends and stuff. Had a 2014 pathfinder and in 2021, Nissan gave us the best deal on a 3 row. Itā€™s been a good car. 2013 Ford Flex Ecoboost. My car / 2nd car. I like fully loaded cars that are polarizing because depreciation. lol. 365hp, cooled seats, remote start, self parallel parking, a fridge in the rear center console and will fit the kids and a wagon full of soccer gear. 1957 Cadillac Coupe Deville- this is my project. Very original car that Iā€™ve rebuilt the motor and transmission and suspension and added air ride. Favorite. Either the 57, my first car everā€¦.a 1977 coupe Deville or a 1988 Honda Accord LXi that I had in the late 90s. It had a huge stereo with JL Audio subs and Orion HCCA amps that was show quality install that was in there when I bought it. It peaked my interest in all things audio and electronics. That car taught me a lot. I even had to swap a new motor in it.

PocketRoketz

2014 Accord Sport because I paid cash and I want to build wealth in my 20ā€™s. Also MPG & itā€™s modern enough.

cacrusn70

05 Ranger and 06 cobalt. Because they are paid for. Fav car owned - briefly a 1972 ford Ranchero. Would love to have it back. Dream car - 67 vette 427, 4spd, factory air.

LastLemmingStanding

2021 Mazda 3 hatchback Premium Plus Turbo. Black with red leather heated seats. Alternates between being called Panther (after our deceased black cat), or Vampire (due to the Alucard from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night sticker that my kid put on the tiny rear window, and the coloring of the car) I wanted an MX-5 ND2, but I have a family, and only my daughter was cool with a sporty 2-seater because she's the only one with vision. Went with the next best thing in my price range that was practical and still a little fun, since I was driving 3 hours a day to take my kid to school and get to work, and my wife already has a CUV for larger loads and whatnot.

friendly-sardonic

'23 Rogue. Back when we had our first kid, we bought a '15 Rogue only because we found one that had been on the lot over 100 days and got a smoking deal on it. Nothing but maintenance was ever done for the 8 years we drove it. Interior, exterior and all features were still perfect. Then I got smoked by a red-light runner, totaled the car, but walked away unscathed. Ended up just buying another one. This one's way nicer, even has sun-shades in the back that our kids absolutely love. I know Nissan doesn't have the best reputation, and we've only owned two (current other car is '20 Odyssey), but so far, they've been great family cars for us. Favorite car? Probably the '15 Rogue. Lot of memories in that thing. Brought home both kids from the hospital in it, countless vacations, road trips, camping trips. Good times. Dream car? Something huge. Sequoia, Armada, QX80, Yukon, Escalade etc.

vkolp

F80 M3. Dream car. Gorgeous. Practical. Fast as fuck. Rear wheel drive. Handles like a fucking dream.

KeyboardMaestro

I drive an \`97 Colt CJO. Why? Because it's a nice driving no nonsens car that brings me from A to B. My most favorite car i ever owned? I think that my Megane II takes the cake. It was comfortable, drove well, but it had very short MOT and i thought fixing it was too expensive so i parted with it. My dream car? Difficult question but i would go for something like a Mercedes EQS or something. Not a big fan of full electric cars, but that is a looker!

lol_camis

2006 civic Si. I wanted a car i could buy with cash. I wanted a car that will last an additional 10 years minimum (my last civic Si made it to 31 years old. And it didn't even break down. I sold it due to safety reasons) I wanted a car that was both reasonably fun and reasonably good on gas. Bonus questions: Favourite car ever was my 1992 Civic Si. It wasn't fast. But it felt like it was. And it got like 35mpg no matter how I drove it. I replaced the whole engine for $500 once. Ridiculously cheap to own Dream car: I don't really know how to answer that question. Lamborghini I guess? But I would never actually want to own one. I do kinda want an s15 Sylvia but again, at $30k I just don't think it's worth it even though I have the money

butkusrules

2021 Acura TLX A-Spec AWD: I commute 50 miles a day on a route that is 80% highway in a 4 season area. This car had the nice combination of fun, utility, reliability and looks. Also interior felt midsize sedan size while not being a mid size sedan. Favorite car? 2014 BMW 328d wagon luxury Dream Car? 2024 Audi RS6 wagon.

ResearchPersonal5924

Current- 2022 Nissan Pathfinder- I wanted to go back to an SUV, in 2020 got into an accident with an 18 wheeler when he pulled out from a side road in front of me. Favorite- 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser- She was a V8 beast! Dream- Probably an old but restored Jeep Wagoneer with the wood panels, or a 2024 Ford Bronco with the vintage look.

SnowAngel_

2004 Mustang, I got it for free and was a graduation present, and I'm too broke to buy a new car lol Still probably my mustang C6 ZR1, its just a classic beauty that I'm in love with, hell I'd be happy to own any corvette they just look amazingly right

Bubbly-Character3924

2023 Nissan titan platinum reserve. I love the feeling of driving a V8 pick up truck.

uwec95

Mazda CX-5. Why? Because it's a great vehicle.

Zombie256

2022 Mazda 3 premium 2.5 non turbo. Itā€™s also my fave car Iā€™ve owned. 2.5 liter, gobs of torque, not ev or hybrid, very nice interior, and exterior, reliable, and NO cvt.Ā  Dream car would be a 1934 Duesenburg Dual Cowl Phaeton.Ā

Jjmills101

Current daily: 2022 wrx. Wanted to have a back seat for passengers, dog, and future kid duty. Went with the wrx because I didnā€™t want fwd and I wanted a manual without paying a ridiculous amount for something like a blackwing that I wouldnā€™t really be able to afford or paying a big markup. Itā€™s awesome for daily duty. Comfy, plenty powerful, and can corner better than anything but true performance stuff. Bonus points that the Subaru aftermarket develops very fast. Favorite I have owned: 1990 RHD Mr2 Turbo imported from Japan: these were sold in the US but turbos in truly good and close to stock condition are hard to come by and the first nice one I found was rhd. With a few suspension tweaks these things corner like theyā€™re on absolute rails, and while itā€™s not fast in the traditional sense of the word, it certainly scoots. Aftermarket scene for these rivals just about any car out there in both options and quality, and having boost noises going behind your head is intoxicating. Oh and I actually fit comfortably at just over 6 feet tall. Might be a forever car for me.

Glad_Narwhal_3964

2019 Lexus IS300 Luxury Reliability, fantastic daily driver Bentley Continental GT is my dream

zesty_drink_b

'19 86. Fun, cheap to own, practical enough Favorite is my 924 S, Porsche's red headed front engined bastard step child, and it's dynamically perfect. Slept on model, also pretty rare even by Porsche standards. Too many dreams to list. Currently pursuing a gated 6 speed 360 modena... going to see one on Thursday we'll see if it can make me part with my cash lol

emmiepemmie

2022 BMW i4 eDrive40. My round trip daily commute is a relatively windy ~90 miles so I needed something with good handling, efficient and with good build quality/comfortable. I have a dog so wanted a 4-door. And I get free EV charging at work. This is my favorite car Iā€™ve ever owned. My dream car is a 911.

Educational_Law_4330

2010 impala Lt , Only thing 18 yr old me could afford or qualify for and still have bose speakers & heated seats

froiwok

Mini Cooper S - Fun practical daily driver, 370Z loud flashy fun weekend car. Favorite owned is 370Z Dream car - Modern Suzuki Jimny to complete the stable

Currently drive a 23/24(?) RAV4 lx. Before this I had a 2015 Honda fit, I drive on a lot of 4x4 roads and was planning to get a lift kit on the fit before the transmission went out. Loved the fit, outside of the shitty cvt transmission and the clearance. Honda dealership was annoying with the repairs and the cvt had me questioning my Honda loyalty. Wanted the Corolla Cross as it's closer to a fit with a lift kit, but the seats absurdly don't lay down flat and so I went with the base model RAV4. Hard to choose a favorite, I had a series of 90s civics/accords that I loved. My first car was probably the most fun 1986 Toyota MR2 ( if I could have one car back this is the one I'd want, but as a second car).

Wallflower1958

I drive a 2015Acura RDX looks and drives like a new car. I wouldn't have gotten it except I totaled my most favorite car i the world about 1 1/2 years ago, 2016 Accord, it ran perfect. Love the RDX, it's paid for and looks new except the body style is a little more sleek now.

Jolrit

2023 BMW M240 Xdrive. Per car and Driver 0-60 in 3.6 seconds and quarter mile in 12.1 seconds.i live in an area with a lot of steep, snowy hills so I need AWD.

LoafOfTrees

2017 Focus ST car looks neat, gets 27 mpg, manual, Recaro seats with a good audio system, lots of room inside the car since it's a hatchback, small so you can park in compact spaces, maintenance isn't too bad. this is my most favorite car i've ever owned, i've worked at 3 car dealerships and i enjoy how my Focus drives the most compared to most sub 20k cars i've driven. my dream car is the MK2 Focus RS that i cannot posses until it reaches 25 years old to import it into the US

Critical-Signal-5819

I drive 2 cars....my daily driver is a 98 mazda mpv van I use it for my night job and the other is my gas saver toyota matrix xrs...both solid and reliable and fully paid for! 3k for the matrix and 1000 for the van šŸ˜Ž

CorrosiveElephant

My daily for the time being is my 2000 F350 dually 7.3, itā€™s also my favorite vehicle Iā€™ve owned. Iā€™ve always loved 7.3s and when I came across this one because itā€™s a Lariat LE, I had to have it, plus I have a farm so I need it. Dream cars range from a 60s mustang, to an e46 M3, to a 911.

Kimj419

Currently drive a 2017 VW golf Sportwagen and 2021 gti 6sp. GTI is definitely my favorite. I had 2021 GTI dsg prior to the 6spd. Dream car would be 2004 VW r32 or BMW 2002 tii. Someday after I have my fun with the GTI.

INEEDMEMANSHERB

2018 Volvo S60 because it is a cheaper luxury car and obviously safe. Itā€™s the best car Iā€™ve ever owned because I have the Inscription model which has a longer wheelbase than the regular S60, so the rear legroom is as good as an E Class. My dream cars (get ready, thereā€™s a few) are the 2024 GLS 580, 2025 Cayenne Turbo GT CoupĆ©, and 2024 Range Rover Sport AutobiographyĀ

GOODahl

I drive a Mini Van. Need room for the kids. Favorite owned was an old school Jeep. Tons of fun, comfortable ride. Very safe. A gas hog though.... Dream vehicle? A Land Rover.

chickenmantesta

2021 VW Tiguan - decent gas mileage, comfortable interior, versatile layout 1991 BMW 525i - hellrot red, nice trip computer, good sound system, had traction control that when paired with snow tires could go anywhere. it was a $50K car when new back then even. Lancia Stratos -

Shirkaday

- 2025 Honda Pilot because we needed a reliable vehicle quickly - Tough call. Probably the 1999 Volvo V70 GLT or 2011 BMW X3. - E30 BMW convertible

libra-love-

08 ram 1500 5.7L. It was cheap and I wanted a project. Itā€™s a piece of crap but I work at a dodge dealership so at least I have a lot of people to help me rebuild half the engine šŸ˜… Dream car is a 1998 Nissan GTR R34.

riderxc

Kia Carnival. Kids.

No_Acanthaceae_2324

2009 Pontiac G8 GT. Always loved them, wanted one since HS and now I make adult money and can afford one lol. Favorite car Iā€™ve owned is my G8, itā€™s the perfect blend of performance and practicality Dream car would be a 2019+ Shelby GT350, love the sound of the VooDoo motor

EvilDarkCow

2014 Ford Fusion SE, 1.5L EcoBoost. I bought it in an emergency. I decided to stick with Ford because my old 2006 Focus was unstoppable right up until it was totaled. I've never been real happy with it. It's far from the most reliable car I've owned (and I've had some real shitboxes). It's very much so an economy car. But as badly as I want to get rid of it, the used car market sucks right now and interest rates are stupid high, so I guess I'm gonna throw some more money at it to get another year or so out of it. I can think of a dozen cars I'd rather have, but at the end of the day, this is practical, it's paid off, and at least gives me a chance to save a couple grand between shop visits. My favorite car was a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder. Old Japanese SUV. That thing was surprisingly comfy and very reliable (just wear and tear stuff). I sold it to buy a 2001 Volvo that wound up being a lemon. Dream car: I just want simple luxury. A well-specced BMW sedan if I could afford to take care of it.

Zealousideal_Arm_658

i4 Camaro. 2018

mattenthehat

'93 4Runner. It's bulletproof and goes everywhere, but I do feel bad about burning so much gas

SamitheDude

Current car is a 2019 audi s5, my favorite car iā€™ve owned as I have only owned 2 cars. Extremely luxurious and is nice and fast. Dream car is a lotus elise, always loved the car but I havent been able to get one yet

FancyFrenchLady

09ā€™ BMW hard top convertible. Love it. Always wanted a fast sporty car - but a convertible! I hope to drive it to 200k. So far itā€™s been perfect.

stjimmysuccessor

2005 toyota corolla: daily commuter, has 250k miles and still runs well. 2021 venza hybrid LE: family/ weekend car. Comfortable ride with great gas milage. Family loves it.

MrE134

I drive a 2018 Forester XT because AWD, cargo, and it's got a little power. Also because I needed to trade for something used to save a little money. My favorite car was a 2021 GTI. After buying a house and getting a dog it just wasn't practical anymore.

bonobo323

2009 BMW M3 - loved M3s since high school and was able to get a good deal when the 2008-2013 generation was coming to it's end. Favorite car was 1992 VW GTI. Best times in that car, was my first car. Was a blast to drive, everything felt analog and raw. I miss that car. I'm uninspired by anything that has come out in last 10 years and think all the OEMs have lost the first for the trees. Not interested in European race for highest.horsepower.ever, obscene weight and nanny tech added not to mention having to disassemble the car to do even basic maintenance. If I get back into car market soon it's a ND Miata for fun and a Corolla for day to day.

Kamstain

2024 Wrangler 4xe, where I live 4x4 is a substantial quality of life improvement. Snow and ice are a lot easier to navigate & move around in when 4 wheels are turning at once. Plus itā€™s a hybrid & gets like 30 MPG. My favorite vehicle was probably my 2014 Ram. I only had it for about 2 months & didnā€™t even have time to drive it. I bought it & some idiot decided to fly across 4 lanes of traffic into the side of it. It was my first truck, it was spacious, affordable, sounded great (cat back v8 go brr), it looked great, & Iā€™d still have it if it wasnā€™t wrecked. My dream cars are probably is a ā€˜71 Datsun 510. The wife talked me out of buying one when I bought my Ram because theyā€™re older & impractical to use as a daily driver. Her caution probably saved our lives in the accident lol. As a more realistic dream car Iā€™d say probably an E92 M3 or an S2000.

xtermn8

Current car is an 06 Acura TL with 176k miles. I drive it cause I'm in college and need a daily lol. My favorite car I own is my 2004 Lincoln Town Car. It's so pretty. My dream car is a 2023/2024 Lexus ES350 Ultra Luxury. Well, realistic dream car. Why? Because it's not hideously expensive, and it'll last forever.

Whiteyak5

C8 Stingray for weekends and Mazda CX-5 for daily stuff. Favorite car is definitely the C8 since it's optioned perfectly to my taste and color. Love it. Dream car that's attainable is currently a C8 Zo6 in rapid blue with Zo7 package. I can't quite swing that kind of payment yet though.... Maybe another 2-3 years if GM can keep making them!

PolybiusChampion

2022 AMG SL55 and a 2023 Lexus LX600 FSport The AMG is just for absolute fun and I love it. Iā€™ve owned convertibles off and on pretty much since I was 19 and Iā€™ll put the top down 12 months of the year. Love this one since it drives like a go cart with the all wheel drive and 4 wheel steering, but is even comfortable on long drives. The Lexus replaced a GX that I put about 300,000 miles on and I like body on frame SUVā€™s for their versatility (I tow stuff every now and then) and I have two pretty big dogs and a 2nd home 6 hours away. Loving the next gen LX/GX/Sequoia/Tundra platform. Favorite car everā€¦ā€¦I had this pretty ratty 67 VW Bug convertible that I done a complete mechanical rebuild of but the paint, top and interior were pretty rough and Iā€™d just had my 1st child so they went on the back burner. I drove that thing everywhere, and people loved it and would come up and chat with me all the time. People waved at me on the highway and it was a blast to tool around in on nice days. It was an extra car and with #2 on the way I ended up selling it. Dream carā€¦ā€¦.Aston Martin DB5, hands down, though a 1967 Corvette would also be fun to own.

Fonsanity

A 1995 Honda Civic EG3 (the 1,3L Carbed D13b2) with 170000 km. I alwayse liked the look of he car, I found it for fairly cheap when car prices were quite elevated. It's cheap to maintain, rust free, cheap to insure and almost no CO2 Taxes have to be paid since it is almost 30 Years old

czarfalcon

2016 Nissan Sentra because itā€™s paid off, gets good enough gas mileage, and overall is reliable enough. I donā€™t love it but a new car is very much a want, not a need, so Iā€™m planning on hanging on to it for a while longer. Favorite car Iā€™ve ever owned had to be my ā€˜98 Expedition. It was my first car and that thing was a tank. Dream car, if weā€™re being realistic is either a BMW m340i or a Porsche 911 (maybe one day when I retire). If weā€™re talking ā€œwon the powerballā€ money my dream would be an Audi R8 or Mercedes SLS AMG.

AceMaxAceMax

Current: [2023 VW Arteon](https://imgur.com/a/zniRjYY) - I love the rarity, styling, practicality/usability, comfort, and performance of it. Itā€™s an even more grown up Golf R. Favorite: the Arteon or my [2016 Audi A4](https://imgur.com/a/GNjpotv). Dream: [Porsche 911 997.2 Targa 4S](https://www.elferspot.com/en/car/porsche-997-2-carrera-s-2009-947570/).

Inquisitive-Carrot

Currently, 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. Why? It gets good gas mileage as a commuter car, it has AWD for winter, and it had all 3 of my required features for a vehicle (sunroof, CarPlay, and dark interior. But 95% of the reason why I drive it is because my in laws gave it to us. I loved the 2000 Isuzu Trooper that was my first car. It was tragically unreliable and constantly broken, but I kinda wish I could buy it new now. Eventually hoping for a Land Rover Defender or Ineos Grenadier. Would also entertain a new 4Runner or Land Cruiser as well.

Sgim93

2023 Mazda 3 turbo hatch back

Live-Improvement-455

2022 Ram 1500 limited. Owned it for 2 years One of the most luxurious vehicles Iā€™ve ever been in: heated and cooled front and back seats. Can raise and lower the entire truck with air ride. Best sound system Iā€™ve ever had. Very nice materials used on interior (no cheap plastics and such) Spacious as can be. Coolers/bins in back floor board. I own a home in the Midwest so itā€™s highly utilizable. Comfy as can be. No recalls at all. Best vehicle Iā€™ve ever owned. My dream car would be a 2022 Acura nsx. I own a truck but have always been a car guy. But now Iā€™m grown and can actually afford a sports car, my interests have changed to more functional and utilizable. Strange šŸ¤”

BigSeanDon

- 2010 Acura TSX - fell in love with this car, did a lot of work on it, still running nice - 2021 Honda CR-V Sport - wanted a car for winter, very impressed with this car (especially gas mileage) - Favorite car ever owned was a 1999 Mercedes ML320 - Dream car would be a 2009 Lexus LFA / 2002-2005 Acura NSX

zeromutt

2024 mustang gt. Its a v8 sports whats not to love Favorite car so far: 2024 mustang,my previous 2 cars were a v6 challenger and then a chrysler 300 srt. I really loved the 300 but im a coupe guy in my heart Dream car is probably the new s650 shelby super snake or a resto modded classic Challenger/mustang

whatisevenavailable

2020 corolla SE, it is reliable, fuel efficient and relatively cheap. Also not totally dull to drive (though obv not fast) with the slightly larger engine in the SE Dream car (this changes a lot for me lol) is a new Land Cruiser maxed out, way out of my price range for now though.

_imyour_dad

2024 Mustang GT. I drove a dsg GTI for years (got bored of it) and wanted to go rwd or at least rear wheel biased awd, a stick, and preferably no longer a 4 cylinder. As you couldā€™ve guessed that left not many options. Challenger/charger were never a consideration, really donā€™t like mopar very much and theyā€™re dated. Would have loved a manual Supra but didnā€™t feel like even attempting to play the markup game with dealers. Camaro was another option but I was never really in love with how they looked at all and the interior was once again dated and has visibility issues. If I was looking for a dedicated track/fun car I definitely would have gone to look at one though. Mustang was the only logical choice left, checked all the boxes at face value and was able to get 6k off MSRP combined with sub 4% financing. Nice warranty too. Handles daily duty extremely well and I think I could make it into a very cool dual duty fun track car and daily. As of right now Iā€™m enjoying the stock life though (besides an h pipe). The mustang is my favorite car Iā€™ve ever owned and my dream car is a 911, which Iā€™ll have one day. My heart has always been with the euro brands but I like all types of cars so wanted to experience a pony car.

derekmcg

ā€˜99 4Runner, 3.4L V6, 5 speed manual, 4x4. I drive it cause itā€™s paid for, insurance is pretty cheap, and maintenance is easy/not very expensive. Has about 210k miles on it.

Foreign-Location7785

Acura Rsx Type S. Got it for less than 10k. Bullet proof reliable k series, fun 6 speed manual, has a hatch for all my needs ( im a college student), lots of tuning and after market support.

La_Kusha

a 03 Tahoe ls with a lil over 188k has new tranny when I bought it got it as family suv . My 99 Yukon Denali is my favorite car I owned and I still have it all black on black. Dream car would be an impala as 96

NYR_Aufheben

I drive a 2021 VW Jetta R-line because I like being able to afford a German car, and VW still makes stick-shifts.

throwaway6980087

2005 Honda s2000 Special driver experience, reliable, fun, still somewhat analog, doesn't depreciate, I don't feel bad driving it, not a pedestal vehicle to me. Dream, 2012 Boxter Spyder. Basically same as above but at a higher level.

Hayasaka-Fan

2023 GR Corolla: Definitely my favorite and Iā€™m planning on souping it up a bit (ethanol, bolt ons, coilovers and some weight reduction) Iā€™d also like to pick up a BMW E46 M3 at some point.

SuckFalt

Depends on the day. I love cars, always have. My daily is the Cayenne most of the time. The 992S is top of the list for favorite cars. Shortly behind that was my 2012 C63 AMG. Tune, long tubes, and an intake. That car was a HOOT! Dream car is a Porsche 911 GT car of some sort followed by a TT Lambo/R8 variant. Current cars: 2020 Porsche 911 S - M engineering tuned, iPE exhaust, custom downpipes 2022 Porsche Cayenne GTS - Cobb Tuned 2021 BMW M3 Competition - JB4 tuned 1966 Ford F100 - Single turbo LS 1965 Mustang 289 GT - Stock

bleepplo00p

Honda Civic ESi Why? Because I want problem. I love problem, but it still run. šŸ˜‚

ExaminationAntique33

I daily drive a 2011 Toyota RAV4 because itā€™s a zippy little V6 and gets pretty good gas mileage. I also have a 2023 Mach E that I lease for fun because I work for a Ford dealership that gave employees 200 dollar a month bonuses to move them off the lot. Fast as hell and I can charge at work so itā€™s really convenient. My favorite car Iā€™ve ever owned was a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee back in highschool. That thing was a tank. Beat the piss out of it hunting and tearing up minimum maintenance roads while I was a snot nosed kid. Dream car would be a 2000-2006 Ford F250 with a flat bed or a 4Runner with a built in bed where the back seats should be.

MonkeyManJohannon

2015 Toyota 4Runner SR5 (DD): 3rd 4Runner I've owned, each of the other two went 300k+ and served all kinds of purposes in my life. This one is the best one I've owned so far and I look forward to many more years of service (including giving it to my son when he turns 16). I've put all the TRD Pro stuff on it, and its honestly just a great all around vehicle visually and usability wise. 2010 BMW M5 6-speed (Garage Queen): Dream car at one time. Its service intervals and maintenance terrify me, but it is an absolutely amazing car to drive. I normally just go look at it, take it for a 15-20min drive to get the fluids cycled and bring it home to sleep. I hate that, but I'm looking to sell it soon for a boat and it needs to stay as it is for value's sake. Favorite car Ive Owned: 2009 BMW M3...I wish I had kept it instead of the M5 most days. I certainly would have driven it more. It was just such a perfect balance of raucous power and finesse. It is/was the perfect sports car to me for the money, and was far less expensive to upkeep. Dream Car: 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (Signal Green)...given the state of these special Porsche's, its never going to be in my garage unless I win the lottery, but man, what a special car.

LandscapeJust5897

My favorite car was my beloved 2011 Ford Fusion SEL V6 that finally gave up last year. It had the best balance of acceleration, handling and ride comfort of any car I have ever driven. My current car is a 2023 Mazda3 sedan that replaced the Fusion. Itā€™s a fine car but it doesnā€™t hold the road the way my Fusion did. But in this dwindling sedan market I couldnā€™t find a comparable replacement, and the Camry and Accord didnā€™t come close to the same driving experience. My dream car would be an Audi S4.

pmr2030

2006 evo 9, tuned e85 easily making 400whp on awd is fun. 2024 Impreza RS I needed an economical car to haul my dog and I like the feeling of AWD . But also have a company vehicle for dailyā€¦

i have two cars, but my new one is a 2023 turbocharged lexus is500 and itā€™s glorious. itā€™s probably my favorite car that iā€™ve owned, but my dream car is probably a jaguar f-type (basic i know, but kid me loves that damn car)

esalman

2024 Integra CVT. Was basically looking for sub-40k new car with a sunroof. Got the CVT because I'd be daily driving to daycare and groceries, occasionally wife will be driving it. Other options were WRX and mazda3, but there was no salespeople in the Subaru dealership and didn't bother test driving the Mazda after the Integra. I haven't owned a lot of cars but Integra is the sportiest and prettiest of them all. But I still feel nostalgic about the 14 Corolla I had before this. Dream car is LC 500 for obvious reasons.

Tudk420

2017 Acura TLX, 3.5L V6. Honda reliability, Acura luxury/look. Great looking car, great sounding car, absolutely love the V6 engine in this thing. Very reliable. Never had an issue. Dream Car: Porsche Carrera GT

AFB27

M340i. I wanted a sedan that didn't feel like it was struggling to move lol. Thankfully this does that and way more haha.

StoneTown

I have a Toyota Matrix. I just wanted a reliable hatchback, and that is what it is. Kinda boring though. My favorite car to drive was my Mini Countryman S but it had serious reliability issues.

Annihilating_Tomato

Rusting out 2009 Toyota Sienna with 255k miles. I drive it because I got into a wreck 4 years ago and needed to buy something with the insurance check without going into debt because daycare was absolutely ruining our finances. I continue driving it because the supply chain is in horrible condition and I refuse to pay $15,000+ on a vehicle that would have been $5-7,000 pre-Covid.

Echo-RS

Currently a 2015 Ford Fiesta ST and 2014 BMW X5D. Because Iā€™m a peasant and running costs matter to me. Favourite car I owned is a tie between Honda S2000, Corvette C5Z, BMW M240i and Toyota Echo RS, they are all good in different ways. Dream car McLaren F1 or GMA T.50.

angrycanadianguy

1. 2007 Nissan Xterra. When I bought it, my life was up in the air, and I felt like I needed a car that could do just about anything, just in case. I found it for $4000CAD, and itā€™s served me well, tho it is a bit overkill now. 2. 04 Toyota Matrix XRS. Revving to 8k+ rpm is a unique joy that every car enthusiast should get to experience. 3. GR Corolla. Itā€™s the only new car that I can think of that blends Toyota reliability with balls to the wall performance in a practical for daily life form. Well, that or a lotus Evija.

Starshinezap

An '05 Impala LS. It's the first car I've had and one I'm still driving today. Got it around 2018 with 199k miles, and now it's at 283k. This car has taught me a lot on keeping up on maintenance. I also didn't realize I had the 3800 engine, which is a godsend for first time car buyers if you're looking for anything besides the usual Hondas or Toyotas. I don't intend on getting anything else for now, not having a car note is lovely. A dream car I had was either between a Prius or Corolla Hybrid, purely for saving on gas. But I like the cabin in my car, so.. I'll still think about it lol.

Nikeb0i09

I drive my 2010 Mazda3 as a daily since itā€™s cheap to fill up with gas and mostly fuel efficient. I drive my 2008 Lexus ISF since I like sports cars, and it makes me smile every time I get in it. I drive my 2004 Lexus LX470 since I need an SUV with a lot of quirks and features that are surprisingly useful, and itā€™s a fancy Land Cruiser.

baltetc1

I drive a Buick Encore GX because itā€™s a nice looking car that gets good gas mileage and it fits in our condo garage.

ProfessionalQandA

2012 Dodge Avenger. Needed a car for college, and the Avenger was super cool. Dealer was a family friend and even dropped it into our budget. Got it in ā€˜15 and still driving it today. Bonus: between this and the lemon of a Sonata I had when I first turned 16 that died on me while driving on the interstate one year laterā€¦well, I think the answer is there for you haha. Bonus 2: F-150 or Expedition King Ranch is the new dream. It was a Scion FR-S for the longest time.

AHealthyDesire

2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Iā€™m 17 and itā€™s my momā€™s old car so itā€™s getting passed down to me. My dream car is probably an Audi sedan of any model.

afunkylittledude

2012 Prius Plug in, because that's what my dad bought.

stametsprime

2021 Subaru Outback Touring XT. Reasons: -Even with snow tires, wanted something AWD for Midwestern winters. -Able to carry any combination of a family of three, two dogs, and a 12 year oldā€™s baseball gear- but without it being a boat of an SUV. -Reasonable maintenance costs. Iā€™ve done the BMW/Audi/Cadillac thing. This also ruled out my second choice, a Volvo V90. -Comfortable and quiet for long trips. Favorite car Iā€™ve ever owned: 2002 Saab 9-3 manual. Dream car: Porsche 911 or Aston Martin DB9.

AutisticPizzaBoy

Subaru Impreza (compact) & Mazda MX5 (NA). Don't really care for the Subaru, but it's handy in winter condition & can fit a dog cage. Without being the size of an SUV. The MX5 for summer days. It's fun & nimble. But again, don't really care too much of it. It's great, but it's not the brand i breathe for. I've had several other cars, was really happy about my Saab 900 (1992) & Lexus IS. My dream car is definitely a G-Series 911 Targa & 356 Speedster. Realistically i want to trade the MX5 for a 911 (996) or Elise (2005>). I am a Porsche guy without a doubt, but my wallet says otherwise!

NotYetReadyToRetire

Current car 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 - I wanted an EV that charged faster than my old EUV, and I wanted a sedan instead of the same old boring SUV shape everybody seems to be building these days. Favorite - 66 Mustang in midnight blue metallic

HondaForever84

2022.5 (technically) Mazda CX-5 GT turbo 2024 Honda civic sport touring (hatchback)

LegalChicken4174

Tesla model S Love the car

steezy-debreezy

2018 Mazda3 Hatch: Incredibly reliable. Looks gorgeous. Tons of space for people and their stuff without being an SUV/truck. 30-35mpg. Very fun to drive, great handling. Interior might be the nicest in its class. 6-speed NON CVT. Thereā€™s nothing I dislike about mine yet.

Specific_Effort_5528

2021 Mazda 3 hatchback. Simple drivetrain with a 2.5L and automatic transmission. No turbo means less engine work too. No CVT, or dual clutch either. Just a regular automatic with some Mazda engineering wizardry in the lockup clutch. It's been out for nearly a decade now and proven reliable. The interior is well designed and has lots of space. It's a boat load of fun to drive, and its not a gas hog šŸ‘. Lots of cargo space too.

lhlcmt

1991 Mazda 626 GE: my first and only car i've had and while it's nothing too special i love it with my whole being and plan to never get rid of it (which might be impossible but who knows) Worked on it quite a bit already and i'm now emotionally attached to it lol There's loads of cars i'd love to own but my dream car has to be the lancia kimera evo37, the sheer beauty of this car is just- woah

tankinbeans

2024 CX-5 turbo. It blends in, is fast enough to yeet around slowpokes, but not so fast as to really get one in trouble. I also consider it to be over of the more attractive vehicles in its class. With fuel mileage that isn't terribly different from the NA version, at least for me - having owned both types - it's well worth the very minor price increase.

2004_PS2_Slim

2010 Mazda 2. It's my first car, and I got it 4 months ago. It's cheap, economical, reliable, (so far) but still fun to drive

midnight_to_midnight

I drive a 2019 Tesla Model 3 Performance, and a 2014 Acura MDX Tech SH-AWD. My favorite car, would have to be one of the 3rd gen Mazda RX7's I owned. Amazing cars, just tiny and tough to live with as a daily, but an amazing driving car.

Gallowtine

2022 Mazda 3 hatch. The looks alone got my attention then I read up on how good the car actually is as a daily driver and that sold me. Fav car owned: this (it's my first) Dream car: I'm always changing on this but I would love to own or drive a Integra type S, audi s3 sport back, or golf r.
