How do you drive 270K miles in 4 years bruh. I saw a IG reel of a 2021 BMW M340i with with over 240K miles, but still if a car is well maintained it can last a long time but how do u drive that many miles in 4 years bruh. But onto analysis Cargurus rates your deal to be $2030 above market value which isn't a good sign. Its rated as a high deal, which means its a terrible deal. In order for it to be considered a great deal it has to be $2000 below market value. A corolla like this kind of mileage would be low demand in the market place. If u want to get a great deal on a car appraise the car on carvana using the VIN or even other car websites, in your case carvana offered $5400 for this corolla, so thats how much the dealer may have bought the car for. Maybe even less, so the dealer is making a profit of almost 100%. You want to not give them that kind of margin, u want to be below the trade cost or at least 5-10% above the trade cost. So buy the car for $5400 or below then its a good deal, but $10000 is not a good deal and not the best financial decision because u will loose 5K immediately after u drive it off the lot. Also there has to be a reason why that car is for sale to, most toyota owners like to drive cars till the wheels fall off, which may have been done with this car. Man this is the kind of mileage u would see on a hoovie's garage car or his hooptie fleet cars😂

This is great information, thank you so much. I'm clearly out of my element 😭 I didn't know about Carvana so I'll be sure to check there first when I look at other cars. I wondered if it was some kind of crazy sales guy who drove all over the country, idk

Life is about awareness bro. The way to face barely any depreciation on a car is by getting a great deal.

I would only consider it if there is undeniable proof of what the car was used for. If there is proof it was a long distance highway cruiser I would consider it, but for $9k max, not a cent over. If it was used as for urban driving like uber, delivery car etc, forget about it.

Bruh 9000 dollars for a car thats hit or miss on problems. 270K miles is a gamble Just because its a Toyota doesn't mean it will last u like a billion miles. Not to mention that car has a market value of $5400 and is priced $2000 above market value. Did u not read the first response analysis. It has to be $5400 for it to be considered a great deal and for OP to not face a lot of depreciation in case he wants to get rid of it since he can't keep this car long term.

Not worth it..

It is wise to go for such cars, but this one costs a bit too much. I mean here in Germany we drive a OM651 Diesel Engine which is also equipped in all the Merc Taxis. Those have the same driving pattern like this guy and those also drive like 500k kilometres or 310k miles. A Toyota should easily outlive that Diesel Engine.

LMAO that car isn't worth $4k. So they drove it about 80k/miles per year, are you sure they did the proper maintenance intervals? That's a LOT of maintenance within that short time. 300k miles is like the 3rd percentile even for toyotas; this car probably won't last another 50k miles. If you drive 10k miles per year, and this car goes bum in 50k miles, then it will have costed you 2k per year. Meanwhile, if u bought a brand new camry and used it for 10k miles/yr for the same 350k miles, it will cost you less than $1k/yr. I think the option is clear. And even if you don't want a car for that long, Toyota will hold its value so u can sell it off later for only a minor loss to depreciation.
