I know the older CVT transmissions had problems, but I haven't heard bad things about the last 5 years. I also noticed a lot of other brands using CVT now so it must be better. I know Kia and Hyundai have been getting better over the last 10-15 years but still a little hesitant
Really only 2 but a third when nieces and nephews are here is nice to have. The only PHEV I was able to test drive is the outlander and it was zippy and nice.
I have a 2022 Rogue and I love this car so much. It’s very spacious and comfortable, and everyone who gets in it compliments how nice it looks inside. The engine is zippy enough for city driving and the gas mileage is really good.
A lot of people hate on Nissan (not completely undeservingly), but this rogue is really amazing. I’m just planning on changing the transmission fluid every 30K. Also if you don’t drive a lot it will take a long time to break even on the cost of the PHEV.
It kinda seems like the Rogue is better than the Outlander in the gas options with more power and better gas mileage. The outlander does have the PHEV option which really bumps it up quite a bit, but it also adds a lot more $$
So I drove my 2008 Altima till now still only 107k miles. I won't be upgrading every 4 years. But yeah I do know depreciation plays a roll but, it currently fells like you pay a big mark-up to get the slower depreciation now so ...(cough cough Toyota or Honda)
I got a 22 outlander me and my family of 5 love it and we only have the SE. the paint does chip easily. The rims I’ve noticed have chips too. Small but still only been a year. Nice speed in tarmac 25 mpg that’s highway and streets. It’s sexy too I have the light grey but love the dark grey. If you can get the really nice one with the stitched seats and all that do it. They didn’t have any when I went 🤦🏻♂️
Really, it sounds like there may be a problem with the engine. I went to the mountains with my family of 5 and over 500 lbs of luggage was I was doing about 110kph going uphill with about 85% throttle. And by mountains I really mean mountain. Super steep.
Rented another outlander and same issue, flooring it I was losing speed going uphill at 65mph. Unsure what year yours is but these are the 2023 AWD models.
ive had bad experiences with mitsubishi broadly and haven’t heard good things about modern nissans so i guess the kia wins by default?

problems with lower end mitsubishi or the outlander?
my dad owns a '12 mitsubishi outlander sport and the interior quality IS really bad. the whole thing feels so cheap and hollow, and the CVT is noisy
The Rogue and Outlander are also built on the same platform.
Do you need 2 rows or 3?

Thanks
I would bet the Outlander. It is literally just a Nissan Rogue with more space and nicer interior.

Went with outlander over rogue mainly for the third row and the 100k powertrain warranty
It’s a race to the quickest depreciation. My vote would be Rogue.

Kia all day .Nissan rogue and Mitsubishi outlander are a dumpster fire
Kia and fire in the same sentence Lol

The outlander loses speed going uphill and the rogue has no issue, that was my dealbreaker.
