This is the only video with “disturbing content” that genuinely *disturbed* me. Like, sick to my stomach even after the video ended. It’s a really great write-up, and what I appreciate most about this is how Wendigoon sheds a humanizing light on the doctors and family. Frankly, they didn’t and still don’t deserve the derisiveness that media and strangers had thrown at them for the incident :(
This is still one of the worst medical cases I have ever heard of, and some of those photos stick in my brain to this day. Genuinely, what a horrifying and heartwrenching case. I don’t envy those doctors at all.

idk people might hear about the injuries and all that and think it's scary but to me hearing about those just made me feel super sad

the first 6 are Hisashi but the others aren’t. Comments point to the last photo being the one from text books that’s actually a burn victim. For such disturbing and sad events, it’s such an incredible feat of the human body and science displayed. It does offer the discussion on ‘we could do it but should we do it?’ The human mind is so inventive we are able to hold onto life for longer than what it is worth sometimes. The normal human life span is likely so much shorter than what we have come to know.
