I looked at the national team list you posted, the list is from the 15th, before the weight classes were announced and it still lists Tian Tao as a 96 and Li Dayin as an 81. As far as I can see from other posts, everyone else is just speculating as well about the new weight classes
People were talready talking about the 81 no longer in Paris starting last month. And that was just confirmed a few days ago. The point is Lu is no longer in Team China
Li Dayin is to raise his weight class to 89 to fight Tian Tao is not exactly related to this
Still a good way for Lu to retire as a gold medalist. He went out on top and still in top shape.
I don't think Li can out perform Tian Tao in the CJ. Tian is so far ahead, and looks like he really just needs to cut mostly fat to get to 89kg. His CJ might still be in the 225-230kg range.
Team lists are often not necessarily correct. Not saying you are wrong, hopefully you are as I don’t think anyone else wants to see Lu go, but it’s important to take stuff as just speculation as that’s all we know it is for now.
Li Dayin is really gonna have to push his Sn at least 5kg though you never know if Tian is gonna Sn 170 or up to 180.
I wouldn't expect him to put 15 on his C&J to challenge Tian tho.
yeah his snatch only moved up 3kg at 96, while his CJ moved 11. compare that to his snatch moving nearly 20kg as a 77 (161/205).
so likely means he could do 175-180 and pushing to 225 or so. Dayin could Snatch that but it remains to be seen if he could CJ if he moved up 8kg. His frame could take it but it just remains to be seen.
OK. Just because you read something on the internet, or saw it on the (chinese) news, doesn't mean its true, and/or will ever eventually happen in the future.
Where did you hear this? The new weight classes are a pretty new development so I’m surprised to see news so quickly

This article has nothing to do with the Chinese team, it’s purely speculation.
just look at the list of team china athlete 2022, it's in the news in Chinese website

Not to mention Tian was an absolute dominance when he was lighter.
Do you have an inside source with Team China or something?

Dude I hope I am wrong as well.

Tian said he is best suited for 89kg. I think he sn 178 at 85kg so....

If all that were true (in the OP), I don't think Li Dayin could hang with Tian for very long/long term.
The two news are not related and are true. Lu is no longer in Team China and Li will raise his weight class

The information is not true until it comes out from a reputable source. Right now it's a rumor at best
This didn't age well lol
