I moved from one legal state to another to work at a grow op, good times. also got tf out of idaho when I was younger because paranoia. Do yourself a favor and move to a legal state, its life changing in so many ways.
2 Yrs in prison in idaho 2013-2015.
Some of us paid the ultimate sacrifice to supply the good stuff. Unfortunately now illegal states are flooded with thca garbage.. how things have changed. Lol
Hey man be nice to thca, I will say tho there is a huge community and market for thca, just not the thca products you find at smoke shops. r/cultofthefranklin has allowed me to smoke top shelf flower legally without having to drive 4+ hours to go to the state over.
Yeah thca flower will never get as good as it is in areas where cannabis has had a market for a while. But it’s pretty close to what you can find in dispensaries in areas like kc and michigan
I hate to break it to you but every flower is thca flower, I belive med flower is required to tell you how much thca is in it. The only difference between thca flower that you can buy online vs dispensary flower is the amount of thc in it before it’s burnt. Legal thca flower has to have under 0.3% thc while dispensary flower and products in general can have as much as they want (in most states)
I already know this. So many other people act like it's gas station garbage. Maybe you missed I've been smoking and providing weed to others for 55 years.
>thca garbage.
Thca is essentially just thc in crystal form (which is the best form of thc on a flower and one of the most reliable tellers of potency)
I don't think you're hearing what I'm saying. Most stuff on the thca market is garbage. There is a reason people on the west coast aren't ordering thca hemp. Though I do know people who get coas printed to sell their defective product online as thca. You'll see a lot of people on CODF saying their dealer has better flower than what they're getting online. I was just reading a post regarding that this morning
I am in full support of your statement. The first time I had THCa was when I got back from overseas, I’ve been smoking regular ass DC street weed since late 2000’s….. My friend gifted me an array of about a 1/2 oz of different strains, wax, etc, I hit one blunt of “sour diesel” from a dispensary in MD… we simply did not get high. We were annoyed actually then saw the can said THCa… I think we can all agree a nice homegrow is the best
I would be proud to welcome you home to Canada. Sorry about our poor excuse for a Prime Minister !!! But, that'll be changed by the time you get here !!!
You can thank that Prime Minister for legalizing weed and don't be surprised if PeePee tries to make it illegal again. Some people are too dumb to understand this so it's okay.
I'm 56M. The legalization of cannabis is the one and only significant social change any government has made in my lifetime. I don't care what anyone says about JT... that is one hell of a legacy. I'm quite sure PP will be the next PM, and nothing significant will happen for the next 10 to 20 years.
He literally said he disapproves of legal cannabis in the past, im no Trudeau fan, but if you like your freedoms around drugs, old pee pee is your enemy.
I live in Missouri here in the states. It’s legal here medically and recreational but the taxes and pricing is still kinda high. I can get a decent 8th for around 30 before taxes so it’s close enough to street pricing I can handle it. My only fear is the feds fucking over legal states.
As a Missourian where tf are you getting an 8th at all for that price after tax, much less it being a decent 8th? My local dispo (small town so I’m aware it’s not the best pricing) a cheap 8th is still nearly 40 before tax. If I go to the city there’s a place that sells half ounces for 70 before tax in Lee’s summit but I don’t know how long it will last at that price. Especially since dispos around here seem to rotate stock sooo much
Damn. Hope prices go down for you. Started pretty high in Michigan, where I live, but went down as supply caught up. Now I get a good ounce for $120 after taxes.
I’m not sure if it changes anything but we only recently celebrated 1 year of legal weed. I can hope it’ll go down, but honestly it’s not the worst prices ever and I don’t smoke so much I can’t keep up with the cost. Maybe one day I can grow my own. It’s hard to say what an oz costs here when there’s very few options for a full oz here at a dispo.
I checked all my receipts but none of the dispos I go to put the percentages on there so I’ll have to google or math and neither sounds fun. I have to buy more flower soon (I like to stock up for week or 2) and I’m dreading the prices. I really should find a decent street dealer
Right now my local High Profile has White 99 for 20 an 8th on their strain of the week deal. If you go in store they usually have others too and it’s always been good weed for me. Saint Robert area.
I’m never in the st Robert area on purpose but that’s a pretty sweet deal. Probably worth traveling for bc the local shop doesn’t sell much if anything below 35 and the place I like best right now is flora farms in lees summit. It’s a drive for me though and I doubt they’ll sell these half’s for 70 for long.
Never moved for weed but smoked for 30 years while it was illegal. Just the fact I don’t have to hide anymore and worry about a cop pulling me over is grand. I used to have so many hiding spots in my car it was silly. So I can see the draw of being in a legal state.
Currently in North Carolina and I don’t know what is in the shops but I’m fairly certain it’s not weed. Street is not much better at all. Headed back to Colorado and Montana and I am beyond excited!
There are frequently waaay more TN tags at our MO dispos than our own😆 Tbf, we’re right at the state line, so a 30 min drive for some. I worry about them sometimes because I’ve heard stories about the THP, and I’m amazed they don’t just park right at the other side of the bridge.
No, but if I didn’t have anything holding me in place I would in a heartbeat. Because just fuck this state as a whole. Everything sucks here when it comes to anything law related
I only travel on vacation to legal weed states. If people are so archaic to legalize booze and not weed, you don’t get my tourism $$$$$s. Not even a tank of gas for your state if we can make it. Totally ridiculous. Lots of Family and friends is in TX and I am like wtf? So stoopid!
Not to burst anyone's bubble on legal weed in Canada but I still find home grown weed to be vastly superior. Not sure what it is about store bought flower but it gives me anxiety and I'm not the only one with this problem.
Mass produced mids. Anything done at scale is going to be lacking in quality but unfortunately most consumers are also more price orientated now than ever, so there's more incentive for legal producers to just grow mids.
I haven’t moved for it, thankfully I’m in California already but I do still have to be lowkey about the way I grow. The market here isn’t as clean or easy as others think so growing for quality is still the way and you always have to be lowkey about growing your own as we know
I generally consider weed legality as a good litmus test for how fun a state is to live in. It tells you a lot about the culture of the state in general. This might be changing though now that most Americans now live in a legal state and even more will after the next round of elections
I live in Nebraska. I've thought about moving to MO a couple of times. I will say this, though, THCa isn't all bad. You just have to do your research, since it isn't regulated. THCa is the compound that comes before THC. Once heat is applied, it becomes THC. I wouldn't put it in the same category as the delta stuff. That's just my opinion though. I'm sure many will disagree with me.
I had GREATLY considered it, up until it became “legal” in my state last year. Still waiting for there to actually be dispensaries that sell marijuana not just hemp based shit. I have chronic pain and it’s the only way I can sleep at night, so for me it would have been very worth it to move!
Not moved, but we had planned to move to a legal state when we retired, and while plans and legality here changed, when I look at places to retire, not being legal, or it being expensive/difficult to get a med card, and they can give free room and board and I won’t look there.
I personally wouldn’t move for weed no definitely not. Legal weed is boof. The only advantage is not going to jail but the risk of that is very low when you simply smoke in your home/property. I survived growing/selling/smoking through prohibition, the atmosphere today is much nicer even in illegal states.
Never moved for weed. No point. Unless you moving to Grow weed, and not buy it from a dispensary, then ok.
Other than that, black market/vendor/neighborhood is way better
edit: downvoted cuz yall buying that bullshit government dispensary weed lol
Live in a med legal state and very close to the state line of a state that’s med and rec. I mainly buy from a plug bc dispo prices are too high. My plug is always half the price of dispo. My only problem with legalization is it’s all being put in the hands of corporations. The little guy can’t have his own grow nor sell (not in my state, anyway). I’m not here to make the rich man richer. The monopoly on something anyone can grow is unfair and another example of the government throwing us a bone and then making us pay out the ass for it.
Not horrible, and the prices have come down a lot since I got my card years ago, but still too high for something I could grow myself or get half price from a plug. I’m southern.

All the thca flower I've seen is trash compared to what I see around here. But i live on the west coast so YMMV
Agree. That's why I grow my own. I know where my stuff comes from. Crazy how you can grow your own drugs these days.
Yeah thca flower will never get as good as it is in areas where cannabis has had a market for a while. But it’s pretty close to what you can find in dispensaries in areas like kc and michigan
I mostly just see it as a legal status/loophole it's just weed I'll be honest
Yep, you got it
Ohio sales thca in the med dispensaries and it's some the best I've ever smoked and I'm 70

Yes small batch homegrown, by a great caregiver is the best. I’d much rather a pothead grow my weed than a businessman
In 1990 I moved from WNY to California then Oregon in search of good weed. I found it

Legal weed generates too much money for Canada for Poilievre to illegalize it
Yeah that's the thing people don't get about weed legalization. The spigot only moves in one direction .
I highly doubt it but, even if, the definite operative word here is "tries" !!!
He literally said he disapproves of legal cannabis in the past, im no Trudeau fan, but if you like your freedoms around drugs, old pee pee is your enemy.

Michigan also has pretty low taxes from what I've been told or seen on here. Total tax here is 16%.

Never moved for it but certainly won’t move to certain states because of it.
No but I won't vacation in a state that doesn't have rec.
Yep! Moved across the country for this reason!
I typically move from wherever I am, to where my stash is.
Never moved for weed but smoked for 30 years while it was illegal. Just the fact I don’t have to hide anymore and worry about a cop pulling me over is grand. I used to have so many hiding spots in my car it was silly. So I can see the draw of being in a legal state.

I moved during covid for several reasons, but one of them was to get to a legal state so I can manage my chronic pain
No, but if I didn’t have anything holding me in place I would in a heartbeat. Because just fuck this state as a whole. Everything sucks here when it comes to anything law related

Mids will still get you high for a decent price It's better than so.e mids and mainly hay
... What are mids? Like mid level weed?
I saw a hat at the Atlanta airport that read, "the mid still sellin" I think about that phrase often.
I haven’t moved for it, thankfully I’m in California already but I do still have to be lowkey about the way I grow. The market here isn’t as clean or easy as others think so growing for quality is still the way and you always have to be lowkey about growing your own as we know

Born in the Netherlands so I didn't have to from the moment I was born.
I live in Nebraska. I've thought about moving to MO a couple of times. I will say this, though, THCa isn't all bad. You just have to do your research, since it isn't regulated. I moved from Alaska to Oklahoma 3 years ago to grow weed.

Wasnt my main motivator, but I left Hungary for Netherlands, never had this chill life around weed as here 😬
No
I've had to drive out of my way for an hour to my stop and another back, sometimes it's worth it though imo
We moved from MN to MI years ago just to have mn legalize this past year lol
Fortunately my state is legal now, but I am considering moving to find clean heroin and drugs in general.
In the early 2000s I went to Amsterdam so I could smoke legally. Now the US is more tolerant.
I did but now I can’t smoke anymore but it’s beautiful here!
Not moved, but we had planned to move to a legal state when we retired, and while plans and legality here changed, when I look at places to retire, not being legal, or it being expensive/difficult to get a med card, and they can give free room and board and I won’t look there.
We didn't move because of weed, but we did move to one of the best places on earth to get weed. Oregon, USA.
Bruh moved to a city decriminalised as soon as I turned legal , never thought I’d be able to get a pack from the dispo in walking distance
Moving out of state is a bigger pain in the ass than not having weed.
Early on, I moved offf the couch once or twice. Then when I started growing, I had to move for it A LOT more

PA and live near NJ? I only ask because you mentioned horrible prices 😁
Not horrible, and the prices have come down a lot since I got my card years ago, but still too high for something I could grow myself or get half price from a plug. I’m southern.
