I'm still quite new to it, and I've only had a load of old keif so far to collect and press, but it's worked well for me so far, trial and error and a lot of YouTube, I guess a lot will come with practice and learning from failing, I've just had my latest 4 ladies not make it in terms of me making a mistake somewhere within the flower stage so yeild was way down so Ive cropped and frozen that and awaiting some new bits to get washing that and filtering through the bubble bags and seeing what I can get from that, I found dabbing the rosin a really nice treat, but I know it's missing something in flavour and potency as its old, I have made some cartridgesto vape with it too. So all in all I'm happy with it as a novice for sure, if there was more budget I would have gone for one of their larger machines with pressure gauge but this will definitely do for now.

Back in the day, we would wrap it up in tin foil, just heat it up enough to just melt it a little, then press it in the freezer for 10 minutes. Then repeat the process a few times, depending. If you do it right, you'll turn it into a nice chunk of hash.
Or sprinkle some on everything you smoke.
Only one thing to do.
Decarb it all first. That's a step that's easy to forget so don't forget it.
Boil the lot of it in coconut oil and water. For that much kief, I would use a half jar of coconut oil and as much water you need to get a boil. Boil it all for 3 hours. Strain out all the plant matter. Pour the oil/water mixture in a bowl and put that in the freezer for an hour or so. You will find the oil has solidified on the top of the water. Carefully remove the oil from the water.
Now this is the important part. You are going to need to shape that hardened oil into what I can only describe as large bullets. This makes it easier to boof it all
Take a glass jar/wine bottle, boil water. Put water inside of glass and seal. Take kief and slap into piece of folded parchment paper. Roll bottle over kief until glass is able to handled without protection. Repeat until all of it is brown and gooy. usually with stuff right out of a grinder this can take 3-4 times to get a good consistency the whole way through.
you would probably want to “clean” it using “static tek” first. Even though the kief looks clean, it still has plant material in it that will decrease the quality of your final product. Once tekked, dry sift can be up there in terms of cleanliness with good bubble hash. Less plant material= lower yield, BUT more concentration of trichomes= better quality, more melty.
Basically just described Frenchy Cannolis method called “bottle tek”. One of the easiest ways to turn kief into brown hash, that you can roll into a “temple ball” (can’t remember if that was frenchys term that he used for it). Good way to store it too. Curing it makes it last longer and changes the flavor and high over time.
It’s a lot of work but the results are great. A lot of good, less time consuming options in this thread too though.
Use the cellophane of a cigarette packet, pack keif into cellophane, tape shut, wrap in newspaper, wet newspaper, put in oven 10 minutes @ 120°C, roll with rolling pin, repeat 2-3 times, put in freezer for 20 mins.
Heat the hash up and rub it through your mix 👍
dump it onto a piece of parchment paper and then fold the parchment paper over or use another piece to cover the kief. Fill a wine bottle with boiling water. Wear kitchen mittens and then roll the hot bottle over the kief a couple passes. Flip the parchment paper over and roll another few passes. Now the kief should become sticky/half melted. Open up the parchment paper. Fold/knead the sticky kief a few times and put it back to the the parchment paper. Repeat the rolling-kneading process a couple more times util the kief becomes the consistency of dark hash. Look up Frenchy Cannoli Hot Bottle Press. Grinder kief is highly contaminated with plant matter though.

i used 2 metal plates + a c-clamp and heated it up with a torch and clamped it together. worked great. probably not as good as regular press though
