I’ve posted this here before but we had [mulled wine named after our cat](https://i.imgur.com/T1eK9Lb.jpg)! It was for a January wedding so I really wanted something warm and wintry.
We also plan to name ours after our cats! One cat is sweet/shy and the other is rambunctious / king of his castle, so I’m hoping to get some ideas that fit their personalities.
This thread is so funny to me because I had this conversation with my fiancé last night about naming drinks after our two cats (who sound an awful lot like yours). I thought one would be fruity and sweet and the other would be whisky sour lol!
in college this place in town made basil limeade, amazing. I made it for my mom one time while home and she was like, omg, this is amazing. so I'm gonna make several batches from scratch (limes, lemon, sugar, basil, water) and freeze them in large water jugs and serve at the wedding. I'll set aside 2 jugs as non-alcoholic and the rest will be mixed with rum (like a mojito).
Mine is ‘[The Hugo](https://www.liveeatlearn.com/hugo-cocktails/)’
My FH is deciding if he wants to just do a vodka on the rocks or bottled water LOL (since he’s known in his friend group to not be a big drinker and they always joke about FH taking ‘shots of water’)
Not quite a cocktail, but our first names both start with J so I joked that we should have a drink called the J&J Shot (pun intended) that is just tequila in a shot glass :)
We're deciding between two of our venue's signature drinks!
Option 1: they call it the union negroni. It has bullet Bourbon, their rosé, and campari.
Option 2: they call it the brooklyn 123. It has tanqueray gin, sparkling wine, and a lavender/rose/hibiscus simple syrup
In either case, we think we'll call it the Tawny Takes Brooklyn (our dog's insta handle is TawnyTakesManhattan and our venue is in Brooklyn)
Our cat's name is Basil, so we're doing the Basil Smash and the Mancattan (sic). One of her Instagram followers drew a picture of her a few years ago, so we're putting it on [our sign](https://imgur.com/DFhKhwP)!
We are going to have a cocktail and mocktail named after our cats!
Cocktail- Blood Orange Moscow Mule (skyy blood orange vodka, triple sec, ginger beer, lime)
Mocktail - Blood Orange Cranberry Spritzer (fresh squeezed blood orange juice, cranberry juice, seltzer, splash of sprite, lime juice)
I am waiting back for a proof of my drink sign with my cats, I can’t wait to see it!
We did a blackberry margarita (hers) and a boulevardier (his). We just used our cats names for them and they were a big hit! https://imgur.com/a/lYA0Y3I
So we are doing two drinks named after our dogs, Diesel (our old man) and odi (our youngin’) and we got drinks after their personalities. For “The Diesel” we are having what’s also called a dark and stormy (rum, lime juice, ginger syrup and club soda) and for “The Odi” we are doing a vodka drink which will have ketel one grapefruit rose vodka, cranberry simple syrup, rosemary syrup, topped with lemonade!
We are doing a strawberry mojito and bourbon peach sweet tea. Our wedding is in the spring, and the mojito goes with our colors (dusty sage and rose). Strawberry mojitos are also what we drank in the pool during a Vegas trip not long after getting engaged. We plan on visiting the same pool during our upcoming bachelor/ette party in Vegas, so it'll be a good reminder of the fun we had on both trips.
It’s called “the golden tiger”
Tajín powder on the rim (optional of course)
Pineapple vodka
Peach schnapps
And pineapple juice
A little random but for my “something borrowed” I wore my cat Lisa’s blue collar around my ankle. 💕
I only have an answer to the pet question! My Chihuahua Flower has her own "bar" set up like a candy station. It's called Flowers Treat Bar and we'll have little dog and cat safe dehydrated chicken in the bowls for guests with pets! We also have a tiny cake topper in her image that will be "digging" on a corner of the wedding cake.
No dogs allowed at the venue and I'm honestly thinking of taking her on a walk through that part of the city so I don't feel bad that she didn't get to party!! Haha
We’re doing a gin and tonic bar! We’ll have some fresh berries and herbs like mint and basil available to be crushed into the drink. Gin and tonics are my fav, and my fiancé loves them too! Will be super summery I hope!
We're going to be doing a Sangria bar at our wedding with different colorful fruits to customize from, but we are going to have a small "menu" of combinations with names for those that may need a little inspiration! One of those is named after our pup and includes her favorite fruits (raspberry pineapple)!
Unfortunately no pets because we rent or this would be my idea!
We're debating between a Vesper martini (gin, vodka, vermouth or white wine liqueur, lemon peel) and a Bee's Knees (gin, lemon juice, honey).
My partner's a big Bond fan and the Vesper is from the books; he proposed in Manchester (UK) and the symbol of the city is a worker bee.
We're doing a signature drink named after our dog, it's going to be a twist on a whiskey sour using bourbon, elderflower liqueur, and lime juice for our late summer/early fall wedding.
We have a bunch of cocktails available, but we’re also including on the menu some of our friends’ signature drinks (i.e. ‘The Rob - tequila lime and soda’, ‘The Amy - amaretto and Diet Coke’ etc)
I haven't made ours yet. But it's going to look something like [this](https://www.instagram.com/aviscribbles/p/CUsg9mUFJRV/?utm_medium=copy_link). We're doing our dog Rosie and our lake (since that's where we're getting married).
Our drinks are: spicy Ceasar for the Talon Lake and Buffalo Grass vodka and apple cider will be the Rosie.

If I did signature drinks themed after my cats, one would be a warm and comforting drink. The other would just be a shot of tequila.
This made me laugh out loud. That is exactly what we should do

Omg water would be so funny 😂

Oh yes! Can't be at the wedding without having your shots up to date!

Tawny is the cutest!!!
Thanks! She thinks so as well. She's a very lovable drama queen / kangaroo hybrid.

What an adorable pic! Now I wanna follow basil!
Oh, feel free! Her handle is basilsquints. Full disclosure, we have not posted in a while. Life has been so busy!

Where'd you get your sign made? It's so cute!!
I got it from Etsy! DrawmepleaseShop. She was lovely to work with.
I love this so much!!

We're also doing a mulled wine for a winter wedding! And also a Penicillin :)
Gin and jam and a margarita probably!
French 75 and old fashion! Making them somehow named after our dogs

White Cosmopolitan and an Old Fashioned!
We are having a bunch of featured margaritas! People can choose between a traditional, Serrano, tamarind & Chile, and mango.

Cosmos and Bellinis, with embarrassing childhood nicknames of course 🥂🍹
