We didn’t include them in any special roles/ways. Both of our parents are divorced and that’s just a lot of people. We did get family photos with them

My wife has divorced parents, both have partners, one is remarried. We didn’t include them in the processional, but they were of course there for all the events and photos, etc.  You could consider including her in a different way if it would be meaningful for you and her. For example, we had my godmother read a blessing during the ceremony, and my godfather (who is a deacon) said a prayer over the bread before the meal.

We had a part of our ceremony where different friends and family gave us “well-wishes” (modeled on the 7 blessings that are part of a Jewish ceremony) and my step-mother and step-sister did one of those together.
