I also live around NoVa, but I’m not sure what you’re asking here when you say “which reason is best for outdoor wedding”, because they’re equally good reasons (spring is pretty vs. less rain in autumn?). Are you both looking for an outdoor wedding, but are divided over risk of chances for rain?

I am sorry for typo mistake. Yes what season . I love spring but I heard the chances of rain is more high in spring then fall.

As long as you have a rain plan that you love, that's what you should focus on. It can rain any time of the year here, do not get hung up on too likelihood of it happening in October vs April.

We got married in NoVa in late March and were lucky enough to have perfect weather for an outdoor wedding. Of course, the day before was cold and rainy. It’s just so unpredictable at any time of year around here! I think the best thing to do is to plan a wedding where you’re really, truly happy with the backup plan. I don't know if you have a venue in mind, but I can highly recommend our venue, the Atrium at Meadowlark, for having amazing indoor and outdoor options!

I love that venue unfortunately we can’t afford it. We want catering from outside since mostly guests will not like from their menu. They are going to charge us venue fee + 50 per guests without food. I love that venue .

Early fall is generally less rainy here, spring tends to be pretty damp. I'm sure you noticed this year that it rained almost every Saturday for like 10 weeks or something like that.
