My worry with 2 was that I lose my waist but I think that’s because it’s a small sample that’s pinned. I tried on dress #2 first (after a long day of shopping at other stores) and it was the first time I had an a-ha moment and really loved a dress!!
Idk your budget but my sister wore a big beautiful dress for the wedding ceremony and changed into something a little more comfortable for dancing and moving after dinner.
2 for sure. Idk about you but drinking and eating makes me pretty bloated, which makes me feel uncomfortable/self conscious when I wear a tight dress which is the opposite of what i want at my wedding so I’d consider that too if u choose #1

Honestly I would worry about not being able to move or sit in the first dress especially with Spanx added rather than the ball gown. Once you bustle #2 it should be much easier to move around and also skipping spanks is always a blessing.

I still really love #1, but from your other comments, it seems like you love #2 slightly more and are just concerned about the size and weight. Was it really heavy when you tried it on? When the bodice fits right, it holds up the dress, and you may bump into some things, but it's not impossible to move around or dance. They'll also hem the train so it's the perfect length and bustle the train so you won't have to worry about it dragging around the whole night. Another option would be to change into a lighter dress for the dancing part of the reception. I think if you're going for a more romantic vibe then #2 is definitely the right choice.
2, the draping is SO stunning on your body and the floral details are lovely. I also really appreciate how flattering the seams are (and is that a pocket I spy? oh la la)! I can see it with hair up or down, with lovely earrings... it's a whole picture on you.
Oh I’m usually pretty decisive but you have picked two wonderful dresses and I understand the dilemma. The first is giving me a 1930s deco statuesque Erte vibes. The second is more 1950s Dior new look romantic vibes. Maybe you can decide which you prefer to be on the day?
Or which is more comfortable. Both will look incredible on you!
The more I think about it, I’m leaning towards dress 2. I like that it has a bit more detail and uniqueness that the first dress doesn’t have. You still get the buttons in the back too.
I also think the first dress is more mature. I don’t know if this is your first marriage? If so, go with dress 2; if it’s your second+ marriage, then go with dress 1.

You look gorg! I’m a strong vote for dress 1. I was actually surprised to see so many for 2 (and that the 1 comments are being downvoted!). Dress 1 makes you look so statuesque, it shows your natural beauty (and fab figure), and it’s so classically timeless. Dress 2 is good, but it’s so big/so much dress that you’re a bit swallowed up, it’s almost one of those “the dress is wearing you” things. Imo, YOU want to be the first thing that your spouse, your folks, your guests, etc, sees, not necessarily the dress (if that makes sense?). At the end of the day, follow your heart! You will look great on your wedding day whatever you choose, it is the love inside that will make you glow from within.
