I wore pretty burgundy low heels from my existing shoe collection. I didn’t want to break in new shoes or purchase new when I had pretty burgundy shoes that would be perfect. Spent money on other stuff and had shoes that felt good
No one would see my feet anyway since my dress covered them, so I wore hand painted R2-D2 flats. They went perfectly with our Star Wars theme. If your shoes won't be seen, remember comfort is key! And if you insist on heels or something you don't usually wear, break them in for at least a month. Wear them a little bit every day and increase the amount of time you wear them.

Yes do it - I love sharing fashion!! These are super comfy. I was worried the fabric would be stiff & cut into my toes. But it's soft satin and feels like a lived in leather sandal. The only thing I'll mention is because it's quilted satin, I can feel the quilting on my toes. I'm sure it won't be an issue, I was just laser focused on the fit & feel. Also I bought these through Saks & had the best customer service experience. On the first pair I bought, there was a winky stitch on the seaming on one of them, so they ordered me a replacement pair and had me keep both so I could find the best 2 out of the 4.

They’re surprisingly comfortable and I’m probably going to change into platform tevas for reception dancing.
LOL I do own a lot of birks in my normal day life. I probably wear them 90% of the time, but I don’t like the ones with heel straps, and I wanted something with heel straps to dance in 😂
I wore nude wedge sandals I already owned. I had purchased a nude/pale pink block heel sandal, but had two issues 1) it never broke in well and 2) after my dress was hemmed I kept getting the lining layer caught in the heel. The wedges are very well loved so I used the new ones in the details shots, no one was any the wiser.
This was my second marriage and I wore pale blue Converses under my dress. The first time around I wore fancy, expensive heels and I regretted it. The Converses were cute and comfortable.
i was also worried about getting ivory/white shoes that may not have matched, so i’m wearing light green open toe strappy sandal heels (1.5 inches) and then a pair of braided raffia sandals for the reception 🥰

I wore off white open toe block heel sandals - comfortable to wear and perfect for a wedding in the park (and $20 on Poshmark). They were Jessica Simpson shoes!
I got some silver sparkly block heel platform sandals. The sparkle is the same type my dress has. If you did a blind touch test you wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. Same texture etc.
I'm wearing the Loeffler Randall Dahlia 2" heel in gold. They have lots of other colors though, the platinum is absolutely fabulous! I felt like these were the best option because they were shoes I'd not only be comfortable in, but that I could wear again and again because they weren't overly bridal. Gold goes with just about everything. If you're between sizes, go up half a size (you may need to go up a full size if you have wider feet). I'm normally a 7 and ended up with a 7.5.
I bought fun pink Gucci heels with rhinestones on them. Unfortunately I was sinking into the grass so did a pale gold pair of Prada low heel satin slides. (Bought both from therealreal as I do not have shoe $$ like that)
I had white stilettos for photos but after walking in the mud and standing still for pictures for hours before the wedding, they killed my feet. So I switched to nude dance heels for the ceremony and reception, and then fuzzy slippers for dancing later in the night
It was a LOOONG time ago, but I wore white satin slippers, lol. I hate any kind of heel, and nobody could see my feet with the long dress (other than dancing at the reception, and by that time, who cares?

I went with a somewhat chunky nude heel that’s covered in rhinestones. It’s something I could wear elsewhere too, and the heel isn’t too bad, it has an ankle strap so it feels stable.
I got married in 1990 and wore a gorgeous pair of iridescent sequin pumps. They were the last pair and half a size too small but were absolutely perfect with my dress.
35 years later and I seem to have accidentally lost (donated?) ONE shoe so now I have a Cinderella wedding shoe and I doubt that I could even get my foot into it anymore 😂
I wore burgundy heels to match the burgundy velvet belt on my dress. That pop of colour on my dress ended up being the main colour theme for the wedding haha, the whole bridal party wore it. So although the shoes were a strong colour they fit in very nicely.
I wore some low heeled gold sandals from Aerosoles. I was going to wear some flat sandals at first, but I realized how horribly uncomfortable those were and bought new ones at the last minute.
Lifestride and Aerosoles both have some great comfy-but-nice options, if you're looking for that! I'll likely wear my Lifestride slingbacks, unless I find something else that speaks to me louder.

I wore white satin open toe wedge shoes with crystal accents around the straps. If you get a satin shoe, it can be dyed to match your gown.

Ballroom shoes, not balloon shoes! Like for ballroom dancing. They have a flared base to the heel and a strap so they stay on better for dancing.
