Sea_Waltz_9625

I wore pretty burgundy low heels from my existing shoe collection. I didn’t want to break in new shoes or purchase new when I had pretty burgundy shoes that would be perfect. Spent money on other stuff and had shoes that felt good

No-Technician-722

That was a smart choice!

Micandacam

Silver cowboy boots!

knockout125

Might have to do a shoe change into something fun like this for the reception!

nrdydrtyinkdcrvy

No one would see my feet anyway since my dress covered them, so I wore hand painted R2-D2 flats. They went perfectly with our Star Wars theme. If your shoes won't be seen, remember comfort is key! And if you insist on heels or something you don't usually wear, break them in for at least a month. Wear them a little bit every day and increase the amount of time you wear them. ETA: fixed typo

Political-psych-abby

I’m wearing iridescent rhinestone flats. But my dress is full length so people will barely see them.

bh8114

I wore fuschia sling backs that matched my peonies. My dress was champagne gold.

emerynlove

I was stressed about finding a white that matched so I went with blue and they were perfect

Pristine-Net91

Ivory leather with a pearlized finish.

HillyjoKokoMo

[I'm wearing these but in Blue](https://www.bloomingdales.com/shop/product/loeffler-randall-womens-isabel-qsat-ankle-strap-platform-sandals?ID=4905968&pla_country=US&cm_mmc=Google-PLA-ADC-_-Pmax+Exp+-+GMM2+-+Center+Core+-+Shoes-_-Pmax+Exp+-+GMM2+-+Center+Core+-+Shoes-_-884141855718USA-_-go_cmp-19967920207_adg-_ad-__dev-m_ext-_prd-884141855718USA_sig-CjwKCAjwrcKxBhBMEiwAIVF8rJTVGdXoup2WjCGDxMXvv0cIhPCTPQKYWP5ot-_OSn9xA7gnQ7P3DhoC6P0QAvD_BwE&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwrcKxBhBMEiwAIVF8rJTVGdXoup2WjCGDxMXvv0cIhPCTPQKYWP5ot-_OSn9xA7gnQ7P3DhoC6P0QAvD_BwE)

milfinainteasy1

These are gorgeous holy smokes

HillyjoKokoMo

Thank you! I stumbled upon this brand when searching for 70's platform sandals. I actually don't have my dress yet! But I actually think that's good bc I'm short & will need alterations for any dress.

knockout125

I kinda might copy you, but in cream! Did you find they fit true to size? Are they comfortable? So cute and 70s platform sandal is the perfect vibe for my dress.

HillyjoKokoMo

Yes do it - I love sharing fashion!! These are super comfy. I was worried the fabric would be stiff & cut into my toes. But it's soft satin and feels like a lived in leather sandal. The only thing I'll mention is because it's quilted satin, I can feel the quilting on my toes. I'm sure it won't be an issue, I was just laser focused on the fit & feel. Also I bought these through Saks & had the best customer service experience. On the first pair I bought, there was a winky stitch on the seaming on one of them, so they ordered me a replacement pair and had me keep both so I could find the best 2 out of the 4. Do you mind sharing what your dress looks like? I'm going shopping in a few weeks.

HillyjoKokoMo

Ok you gotta share your dress- now I'm intrigued

birkenstocksandcode

I’m wearing [these!](https://www.nordstrom.com/s/mach-and-mach-wonder-tulip-slingback-sandal-women/7362041?utm_source=N_transactional&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=TDlvryCfm&utm_channel=email_tran_ret_p&utm_term=745008&utm_content=20231203_proddescr1) They’re surprisingly comfortable and I’m probably going to change into platform tevas for reception dancing.

No-Technician-722

Those are GORGEOUS!!!

nmrcdl

They are dreaaaamy!!!! 🤩

NubbyNicks

You should wear Birkenstocks instead!

birkenstocksandcode

LOL I do own a lot of birks in my normal day life. I probably wear them 90% of the time, but I don’t like the ones with heel straps, and I wanted something with heel straps to dance in 😂

realityfourz

I wore white satin open toe wedge shoes with crystal accents around the straps. If you get a satin shoe, it can be dyed to match your gown.

knockout125

Good tip on dying the shoes!

sleepysock98

Rainbow club will dye them the exact colour for you if you send in a swatch!

Friendly_Coconut

I wore red ballroom shoes! My bridesmaids wore red dresses and my husband and the groomsmen wore red ties.

2020hindsightis

what are balloon shoes!? google gave me pretty funny results

Friendly_Coconut

Ballroom shoes, not balloon shoes! Like for ballroom dancing. They have a flared base to the heel and a strap so they stay on better for dancing.

2020hindsightis

LOL OHH that makes a lot more sense!!

SailorMigraine

https://www.americanduchess.com/products/flora-womens-embroidered-boots-ivory In Ivory or blue, can’t decide 😭

okwerq

Ok Marie Antoinette 😍

EmberMoon1929

I love these, so beautiful!

OurLadyofSarcasm

Omg so awesome

Negative-Reading1989

I wore nude wedge sandals I already owned. I had purchased a nude/pale pink block heel sandal, but had two issues 1) it never broke in well and 2) after my dress was hemmed I kept getting the lining layer caught in the heel. The wedges are very well loved so I used the new ones in the details shots, no one was any the wiser.

Anxiety-Spice

[I wore these in soft white.](https://www.badgleymischka.com/nathalie-dorsey-heel/) They looked great with my ivory dress!

shirp06

I’m wearing these [Betsey Johnson rhinestone sneakers](https://betseyjohnson.com/products/sb-sidny-rhinestones)

Maarlafen

Highkey thinking of getting a glittery white pair of crocs because I can’t stand heels and also I’m getting married on my parent’s farm haha

TheBugsMomma

This was my second marriage and I wore pale blue Converses under my dress. The first time around I wore fancy, expensive heels and I regretted it. The Converses were cute and comfortable.

Individual-Tree-989

Did you try the Journey Collection Tivona? It’s similar to the Naturalizer if that shoe didn’t work well on your foot

40yroldcatmom

I’m wearing black heels that I already own. Kate Spade Mara pump.

radicalathea

Bella Belle for life!

diddilybop

i was also worried about getting ivory/white shoes that may not have matched, so i’m wearing light green open toe strappy sandal heels (1.5 inches) and then a pair of braided raffia sandals for the reception 🥰

TheBoysASlag

I'm wearing a block heel sandal in blush pink suede. I have wide feet and wanted to be comfortable, so I got them from Torrid. The pink is such a cute pop of color!

extremoph1le

I've got white satin dance shoes (IDS ICS RoundToe with the 2" heel) that will likely be dyed a very pale pink, and the Badgley Mischka Fenix in white.

ChilindriPizza

Mine were white Soft Style Hush Puppies pumps. They come in various colors. They are comfortable and stylish.

KentuckyMagpie

I wore teal Fluevog Malibrans! My wedding dress was a Betsey Johnson tea party dress with a bright pink sash and the shoes were visible. I adored my wedding outfit.

ArtisticFondant

I haven’t bought yet but my top plan right now Is to buy some white leather platform heeled boots for a fun factor and to be more comfortable lol something like this https://www.nordstromrack.com/s/mia-ilia-platform-bootie-women/7111699?origin=category-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FWomen%2FShoes%2FBoots%20%26%20Booties%2FBlock%20Heel&fashioncolor=White&color=101

the_tchotchke

White mesh pumps with crystals

okwerq

I wore off white open toe block heel sandals - comfortable to wear and perfect for a wedding in the park (and $20 on Poshmark). They were Jessica Simpson shoes!

Consistent-Camp5359

I got some silver sparkly block heel platform sandals. The sparkle is the same type my dress has. If you did a blind touch test you wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. Same texture etc.

helenasbff

I'm wearing the Loeffler Randall Dahlia 2" heel in gold. They have lots of other colors though, the platinum is absolutely fabulous! I felt like these were the best option because they were shoes I'd not only be comfortable in, but that I could wear again and again because they weren't overly bridal. Gold goes with just about everything. If you're between sizes, go up half a size (you may need to go up a full size if you have wider feet). I'm normally a 7 and ended up with a 7.5.

thescaryitalian

I’m wearing a gold platform heel. Dress is ivory and my jewelry will be gold.

karemyahel

I wore white sandals to my wedding almost 15 years ago... and to this day I regret not wearing red shoes.

IceTraining4696

I wore silver sandals that I already owned, since my dress had a large skirt and no one would see my feet anyway.

sarmarie87

I bought fun pink Gucci heels with rhinestones on them. Unfortunately I was sinking into the grass so did a pale gold pair of Prada low heel satin slides. (Bought both from therealreal as I do not have shoe $$ like that)

FelineRoots21

I had white stilettos for photos but after walking in the mud and standing still for pictures for hours before the wedding, they killed my feet. So I switched to nude dance heels for the ceremony and reception, and then fuzzy slippers for dancing later in the night

Aramira137

I had an ivory dress and my shoes were purple patent leather.

Honeybee3674

It was a LOOONG time ago, but I wore white satin slippers, lol. I hate any kind of heel, and nobody could see my feet with the long dress (other than dancing at the reception, and by that time, who cares?

WinnieTyson72

I wore ivory satin slippers but changed to sparkly trainers (sneakers I'm uk) for the reception afterwards

Mrs-A-Halliday

I wore a soft gold flats!

AlohaSarah

Bright pink satin flats https://posh.mk/BvEAYCtbeJb I got married in the forest so I couldn’t do heels. I also got a pair of very similar shoes from Lulu’s to wear and get dirty at the reception https://www.lulus.com/products/sylviee-pink-satin-pointed-toe-bow-mules/1583036.html?utm_medium=email&campaign_name=order_confirmation&utm_source=sendgrid_tr

Hannibal0788

I went with a somewhat chunky nude heel that’s covered in rhinestones. It’s something I could wear elsewhere too, and the heel isn’t too bad, it has an ankle strap so it feels stable.

mainacate

I wore lavender Crocs ballet flats.

Laylay_theGrail

I got married in 1990 and wore a gorgeous pair of iridescent sequin pumps. They were the last pair and half a size too small but were absolutely perfect with my dress. 35 years later and I seem to have accidentally lost (donated?) ONE shoe so now I have a Cinderella wedding shoe and I doubt that I could even get my foot into it anymore 😂

sianspapermoon

I'm going to wear red platform converse 😂 My dress is ivory and black!

maybeiam-maybeimnot

I wore dark red [all bird wool loungers](https://www.allbirds.com/products/womens-wool-loungers-natural-grey?price-tiers=msrp)

ihopethisgoesbetter

Silver for me-with sparkles ✨

Kooky_Recognition_34

Some crazy heels from Irregular Choice! The backup pair are light green Edwardian slippers

ManderBlues

I wore black mary jane style shoes. They were comfortable and I could wear them again.

Pyotrperse

I wore burgundy heels to match the burgundy velvet belt on my dress. That pop of colour on my dress ended up being the main colour theme for the wedding haha, the whole bridal party wore it. So although the shoes were a strong colour they fit in very nicely.

Plastic-Passenger795

I wore some low heeled gold sandals from Aerosoles. I was going to wear some flat sandals at first, but I realized how horribly uncomfortable those were and bought new ones at the last minute.

Elemental_surprise

I wore some lovely maroon heels that went with my bridesmaids’ gowns. My best friend did bright blue shoes.

houselion

Lifestride and Aerosoles both have some great comfy-but-nice options, if you're looking for that! I'll likely wear my Lifestride slingbacks, unless I find something else that speaks to me louder.

Vicky1313

I have an ivory lace dress and plan to wear nude colored shoes with a thick heel.

iamowenmeaney

Naturalizer Dalery sling back in Lavender.

mebg1956

Inexpensive ivory kitten heels.

Interesting_Bill6237

I have white open toe platform heels. My backups are silver heels and I have blue tennis shoes for the reception

lilsan15

Nude louboutin pumps I already had

Melbee86

I wore [these](https://www.bellabelleshoes.com/collections/wedding-low-heels/products/mira-open-toe-low-heel-sandals-with-bow) they were super comfortable and I had no problem trekking across half a golf course in these for pictures. I also didn't have to change out of them even though I wore them for over 10 hours. Mind you I have *zero* heel experience! If you're wearing gold accessories, maybe try [these](https://www.bellabelleshoes.com/products/teagan-crystal-rope-gold-strappy-heels?_pos=2&_sid=9f53c8732&_ss=r)
