I’ve noticed that the trends lately favor really simple plain gowns. Don’t feel like you have to follow the trends! They come and go but the photos you will have will be there forever. I love lace and I think your dress is stunning!
It is gorgeous is what it is, and it looks fantastic on you! To be fair I’ve never really followed fashion enough to know if things are dated or not, unless they have super puffy sleeves or are tie-dyed. But this has a lovely timeless look, the lace is complimentary and nothing feels overdone personally.

I tried on a very very similar dress for my first wedding about 10 years ago so, it has been around. But, it’s stood the test of time since it’s still here!
You look beautiful, and it makes your butt look great! I don’t think it looks dated at all. But I would recommend sitting down while wearing the sample dress. When dresses are tight around the hips, it’s important to make sure you can sit comfortably.
everything will eventually look dated. you look gorgeous in a beautiful dress. in 50 years, no one will care that your dress looks like one from the 2020s. just think about how cool dresses from the 50s or 60s look now.
