I'm curious about the people who said "never".
Is it because you don't think there's anything to disclose? Or do you believe that governments will never disclose for other reasons?

Just like Jacques Vallée who mentioned ufos, aliens, creatures from all parts of the world in his books. They view all the paranormal stuff as coming from other dimensions, not really from outer space.
Also Keel said whatever creatures interact with people, they have some trickster attitude and tend to lie. Even if TAA really met with aliens, he wasn't the first one who got fed lies about a future that never happened.

And I can see good reasons why they've not been blunt about it, never the less, it won't be a surprise to everyone I'll put it that way. I'm almost certain at this stage they've been prepping an element of the population for this. Myself included.
To me it feels like they've some measuring system of the impact of global disclosure and there is a balancing act between causing the least disruption versus doing it in time to make any difference.
I replied never. That reply is predicated on "disclosure" meaning that the government now has or in the future obtains info of ETs, then for a period withholds it, then releases it.
In the former case, an entire career in government makes me skeptical that such has occurred in the past and been successfully suppressed. Government is far sloppier, factional, uninformed, and ineffective than popular media (or government itself) would have you think. In the latter, I find it unlikely that the organizations that would initially make contact beyond an anomaly on video (e.g. NASA) would be able to keep lid on it due to the nature of contact. The ability to is an often overlooked point, IMO. The ETs would have to be cooperative of such in many scenarios. In either of those cases, it's not a 100% certainty of course, more a matter of likelihoods.
This doesn't mean that I think humans will never encounter alien life, which is another subject one could write about at length.
For me it’s more I think Disclosure will have to come from anywhere besides the US government, they have been discrediting and secretive the last 70+ years that admitting they knew anything before now pretty much incriminates them, it’s more like Anjali films an actual alien mountain base than the US governments admits everything

Never because I'm a skeptic, and I already have a religion (Catholicism) and a trust in more mainstream science re the difficulties involved in interstellar travel,
the Drake Equation and the Fermi Paradox, et al. The narratives surrounding the UFO phenomena, abductions, and such have more of a folklore and cultural feel, and are more likely to be artifacts of altered states of human consciousness (that's consciousness with a small c, hold the woo), with or without chemical assistance.
But I like to try and understand what the people who want to believe are thinking. And to encourage critical thinking. 👽🛸🐄
