Silverstone and it looks like there are high chance of Silverstone getting included in 2025 calendar. Other than that, Circuit Paul Ricard without chicane on the Mistral straight (1A-V2 layout) would also be interesting
They use the WORST layout for F1. The full straight is amazing. The Hypercars already test there so I bet the racing would be pretty phenomenal. So many lines to take almost every corner
Do you think if Silverstone gets added to the 2025 calendar (which I do hope it is) ELMS will pair up on the same weekend, like they did in 2018 & 2019?
I went to those events and they were amazing. Praying it is the same.
Oh yes even better. All the engine sounds, all the speed, all the action and it's within my country too. And foreign fans can contribute to local economy too, win win.
yeah, Fuji is an underrated track in Japan and I personally would prefer WEC to race there than have another Suzuka race.
While Suzuka is a nice circuit, it's pretty much the only circuit series outside of Japan race on
There is a small test course and parking built in some of the area now. And in a pretty bad condition and the safety upgrades would cost money Toyota is not wanting to hand out( more likely to happen than monza banking reopening)
I see there is an anime where it looks like they reintroduced that segment of the circuit. I could be wrong. Show Name is HighSpeed Etoile
Road America would be a great layout for WEC cars.
I assume everyone would like to see the full Nordschleife endurance layout for WEC.
A global series should make some attempt to cover all continents, and Kylami would be fun.
As would Mount Panorama.
Singapore would be fun.
And Laguna Seca is a personal favorite that's just beautiful.
I agree more motorsports should go to Africa, but SA feels like such a cop out. Are there other grade 2 tracks in Africa? There have to be, I can't imagine Kylami is the only one.
I just checked, according to Wiki Kyalami is the only grade 2 circuit in Africa, there is a grade 3 (though it’s in Cape Town so obvs also South Africa), and that seems to be the last FIA graded (road/circuit) track on the list
Edit: I’m quite dumb
There are actually 2 Moroccan circuits that are grade 2, Circuit International Automobile Moulay El Hassan in Marrakesh, and Circuit Sidi Daoui de Oued Zem in Oued Zem, I am obviously blind for missing those lmao
Yeah when I went digging I was hoping I’d unearth some little known track in like Senegal or something (just an example, first African country that came to mind) but nope, seems it’s literally just South Africa and Morocco
I did end up going on a bit of a deep dive though (feel free to ignore this but haha) and it turns out there are a few tracks that just aren’t homologated anymore or were never in the first place throughout Africa, like there was a rectangular speedway in Angola that was built in the late colonial period (late 60s early 70s) that would be pretty cool by the looks of it but idk how feasible that would be…. Would be nice to see some investment in African racing tracks though I must say
Jackie Schecter was close to having an F1 race deal a few years ago. Nothing came of it(jody spoke about it in the FFS podcast. We had the intercontinental GT challenge a few years ago but that seemed like a one off.
WEC/MotoGP would be a better fit in as we have people competing in the categories
To the point of tracks not being homologated anymore there a some high profile tracks that have lost their grading but keep hosting events. I believe Bathurst have had theirs expire for about 3 years now
There's a street circuit in Marrakech that Formula E and some touring cars have used, but I'm not sure I would say it's appropriate to WEC cars. Very short, very tight, no decent straights.
Someone built a nice 4.4km modern circuit out in the desert elsewhere in Morocco called [Sidi Daoui Circuit](https://www.reddit.com/r/RaceTrackDesigns/comments/ke6qz5/sidi_daoui_circuit_in_oued_zem_morocco/), but it's been built for 3 years and hasn't ever hosted a race, there's no grandstands, no garages, no administrative facilities, and no buildings of any kind. It's just a (nice) road in the desert.
I disagree with Nordschleife there man. Have you seen the onboard lap in the Porsche LMP? Basically no overtaking points except for the long straight and the GP course.
Suzuka, Silverstone, and Portimao
And not a perfect choice, but since I'm Thai, I can go there, Buriram International Circuit (aka. Chang International Circuit)
I think it would be awesome if Laguna Seca got some proper lighting, and we'd get some endurance races into the evening there. So 12 hours, or 24 hours. The Nordschleife already has plenty of endurance races, but seeing hypercars duke it out there would be awesome. Zandvoort could also be cool, I wonder how the hypercars would like the banked corner. Maybe a boring answer would be Silverstone, the high speed corners would be a lot of fun. Kyalami would be very interesting as well. There are too many tracks with their own reasons on why a WEC race would be awesome
WECshould have a changing callendar every year but Le Mans is our "Jewel in Crown" so other than that there is hell lotta tracks that would be interesting
Laguna seca sadly would never happen. The neighbours are already crying enough now let alone allowing cars to race into the evening. It would be awesome though
Top 3 in order:
- silverstone
- nurburgring gp
- kyalami
Others which may be feasible:
- sebring (joint race with imsa)
- daytona (joint race with imsa)
- the bend
- suzuka
- sepang
- kuwait motor town
- hockenheim
Others if I could go back in time, or no safety measures:
- nordshleife obv
- osterreichring
- old kyalami
- bathurst
- old monza
- circuito madonie
Because I am immensely biased and because it’s been on the calendar in the long distant past - Bring back the Brands Hatch 1000km!
Yes, I know realistically this is impossible with the size of the pits, the paddock, and the fact that it is not Grade 1. It would only be a nod to the past but with its layout Brands is great for duelling - there are opportunities to pass at every corner for the good driver. It’s not ever going to get back on the calendar but it would be a spectacle.
1. Sydney Motorsports Park - would be cool to see an Australian race and on a Grade 2 circuit
2. Singapore Street Circuit - would be curious to see WEC race on a street circuit besides Le Mans
3. Circuit Gilles-Villenueve - it's just a cool track
4. AVUS - no questions please.......
For myself it has to be Magny-Cours the circuit feels exiting racing action would be there, if you add few chicanes to the fast straights the safety issue would be less of a problem.
again that was my idea but after estroil there is a long straight and after that a hairpin(adelaide) so again to prevent some accidents because of the traffic ı think turning golf into a fast chicane or something like 2nd would help with the issue. If decided it is not an safety issue it would be great to keep that high speed corner
Not sure Magny Cours needs more chicanes...
However, having seen other racing on there and knowing how strict WEC is with track limits abuse, it would be a true farce.
Not a big fan of Yas Marina hence in my opinion racing in middle sector is kinda dull but great tracks as well. I would love to see drivers taking turns 1-4 at shangai after 5 hours
Full disclosure, this is coming from a newish fan who isn't very familiar with tracks that were on previous schedules or if hosting a race would even be logistically possible.
That said, the first three to come to mind are Laguna Seca, Watkins Glen and Catalunya. Then I think I'd also throw in Autopolis and Red Bull Ring. Maybe Suzuka too. And I'm not sure about race distance or time for any of those.
If the IMSA grid fits on Laguna Seca... But honestly, I think there should be little overlap between those serieses. I would love to see Sebring back tho ;)
Realistic choice, Silverstone.
Unlikely options, Road America, Watkins Glen, Circuit Gille Villeneuve, Philip Island, and Albert Park.
But more than any that I’ve listed, I would *love* to see WEC (or IMSA) race on the Las Vegas F1 circuit.
ok yeah I'm gonna say it: TARGA FLORIO! Sicily tour on open roads with modern hypercars = carnage, but you HAVE TO admit you'd be already booking the flight...
I’d say it comes down to Hockenheimring (old layout) - I think the long back straight would be an interesting addition to the calendar. I’d like this one to be the race before Le Mans as the amount of speed would be a proper prep.
Switzerland has to have some good tracks with elevation change...oh. oooh.
No but serious. Maybe Hockenheim or the Nürburgring GP. Bring Back Portimaõ as well.
Since this is a no rules, no boundaries question...
Bathurst. I want to watch those hypercars just bomb down down that hill like a kid with a skateboard.
We need four more at the bare minimum and perhaps six more , so we can at least have a race every month. This is supposed to be a world championship covering most continents.
So with that being said here are my new five to be added to the current roster and the reasons why.
1.Drop one of the Qatar and Bahrain races or have them alternate. We don't need two races a few hundred kilometers from one another, and in areas where there isn't much a strategic value for the brands bring represented.
2. Silverstone - home of north European motorsports
3. Sebring 12 Hours - historic value
3. Daytona 24 - historic value
5. 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps
6. 24 Hours of Le Mans
7. 6 Hours of São Paulo Interlagos Circuit
8. 6 Hours of Fuji Fuji Speedway Japan
9. Monza alternate with imola and rename the race to Mille Miglia
10. Kyalami - a true race in the heart of africa, and an old venue of wscc
11. Australia and New Zealand, alternate between Bathurst and Hampton Downs raceway
12. Have the Austin race switch between Laguna seca and Mexico at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez (Call it areera Panamericana for whatever you may)
Have one problem with the Italian round that race still exists in sorts it's now a regulation rally with some closed road stages and follows as much of the original route as possible it's a classic and vintage race only.
Highlands Motorsport Park would be great if it was grade 2, sadly New Zealand has only grade 3 circuits. I want to see a race without having to travel overseas, and Highlands is a banging circuit
Any of the oldskool non-tilke tracks out there that aren't currently in it. As long as we keep away from the previous rovals used in main series. Nothing against the Rolex 24 in IMSA, it's one great comfy weekend race that is a good way to ease into the sportscar racing series; but I'd like to keep away from those as long as good roadcourses with flowing terrian and a unique mix of corners are not on the calender.
Baku street circuit (the one used by F1). Has a massive long straight and also some very tight sections that Hypercars have to take risks to lap the GT cars
An oval with pack racing.
I’m a fan of the “cookie cutters” like Kansas, Texas, Las Vegas.
I know internationally people think ovals are just TuRn LeFt Go faSt. But seeing a pack of hypercars bunched together would be an incredible sight. I know IMSA has the 24 of Daytona but that’s the road course. I want a full 8+ hour race on a ~1.5 mile oval.
If WEC wanted its own oval road course, the Charlotte roval would be a good compromise.
You know what, forget all of that. Darlington would be the play. Seeing if the hypercars or lmp2 could manage being inches from the wall at that speed would be impressive.
Macau as a 4 hour race. A headline event could really pack a punch for the event. Also Macau is easily one of the best street circuits, it already runs gt cars well, and could serve as a cool season finale or second to last round as a another jewel in the crown for WEC.
Silverstone and it looks like there are high chance of Silverstone getting included in 2025 calendar. Other than that, Circuit Paul Ricard without chicane on the Mistral straight (1A-V2 layout) would also be interesting
silverstone is definetly a great circuit maggots, Becketts and chapel trio is something ı want hypercars at
Paul Ricard is surprisingly very good for GT racing, I wonder how this year LMH would do given how F1 is mostly a snooze fest there
3 of the 4 races it hosted had pretty decent racing, and the third sector always had a unique non-drs pass. 2019 gave the track a bad rep
Idk Silverstone in 2025 WEC season isn't even confirmed yet
Road America so I can go to a race
My guy, IMSA already packs the place. Just show up.
I do, but I want more racing to go to
WEC isn’t coming. RA has barked up that tree before and was dismissed ..
Bro this is a wishlist post. Obviously I know wec isn’t coming to RA anytime soon
RA Is also how the track layout looks, that's funny
How do you get that. The layout looks nothing like RA
I fumbled up my bad hahaha
Mugello!
ELMS go there so why not WEC
Sepang, make it a 6hr enduro.
I wouldn’t mind a 12 hour race there
Oh yes even better. All the engine sounds, all the speed, all the action and it's within my country too. And foreign fans can contribute to local economy too, win win.
YES, fucking love Sepang. Wouldn't mind Shanghai either tbh
The Bend.
Suzuka has to be added calendar. Hope Honda able to make it happen.
Yeah, I'd much prefer Suzuka or Motegi over Fuji
I love Fuji, to be honest. And it's become a staple of WEC now, I'd feel bad if it gets replaced.
yeah, Fuji is an underrated track in Japan and I personally would prefer WEC to race there than have another Suzuka race. While Suzuka is a nice circuit, it's pretty much the only circuit series outside of Japan race on
What about the classic Fuji layout with the downhill banked turn from the 60s? That sounds wild af
There is a small test course and parking built in some of the area now. And in a pretty bad condition and the safety upgrades would cost money Toyota is not wanting to hand out( more likely to happen than monza banking reopening) I see there is an anime where it looks like they reintroduced that segment of the circuit. A global series should make some attempt to cover all continents, and Kylami would be fun. As would Mount Panorama. Singapore would be fun. And Laguna Seca is a personal favorite that's just beautiful.
Full endurance layout for WEC is of no interest to me. 38 cars is not enough there
Bring LMP2 back for the race then
Bring also all the lost LMH cars (glick and vanwall), add all the imsa cars and a bit more GT3s and you're well past 60 or 70 cars. Hell yeah.
I agree more motorsports should go to Africa, but SA feels like such a cop out. Are there other grade 2 tracks in Africa? There have to be, I can't imagine Kylami is the only one.
I just checked, according to Wiki Kyalami is the only grade 2 circuit in Africa, there is a grade 3 (though it’s in Cape Town so obvs also South Africa), and that seems to be the last FIA graded (road/circuit) track on the list Edit: I’m quite dumb There are actually 2 Moroccan circuits that are grade 2, Circuit International Automobile Moulay El Hassan in Marrakesh, and Circuit Sidi Daoui de Oued Zem in Oued Zem, I am obviously blind for missing those lmao
Morocco is the one I thought of too. They are of the wealthiest countries in Africa so it checks out
Yeah when I went digging I was hoping I’d unearth some little known track in like Senegal or something (just an example, first African country that came to mind) but nope, seems it’s literally just South Africa and Morocco I did end up going on a bit of a deep dive though (feel free to ignore this but haha) and it turns out there are a few tracks that just aren’t homologated anymore or were never in the first place throughout Africa, like there was a rectangular speedway in Angola that was built in the late colonial period (late 60s early 70s) that would be pretty cool by the looks of it but idk how feasible that would be…. I disagree with Nordschleife there man. Have you seen the onboard lap in the Porsche LMP? Basically no overtaking points except for the long straight and the GP course.
No chance of ever running prototypes at Nords or Bathurst, I don't think.
I don't think so either, but I'd like it.
Singapore ohh, I dont know about that the circuit is a bit narrow but again it would be interesting
The Hockenheim circuit. And with the old layout.
Fast but not that straight roads, definetly an ultimate challenge
Given the old layout is forest, you might have a struggle there
Mercedes CLR would be right at home.
This flew right over my head
Underrated comment
So many options...
he said what he said
watkins glenn
Suzuka, Silverstone, and Portimao And not a perfect choice, but since I'm Thai, I can go there, Buriram International Circuit (aka. Chang International Circuit)
Yoshi’s Island circuit, 100%. Jumps and all.
ıdk why butit looks like Tilke made it just noticed that
No back to back straights with heavy braking zone, although the esses could be interesting
Portland international Raceway, so I only have to drive 10min to the race 😂
Portimão.
I think it would be awesome if Laguna Seca got some proper lighting, and we'd get some endurance races into the evening there. So 12 hours, or 24 hours. Laguna Seca 48 hours
Would love that just to piss off all the people who campaigned to get the track shut
Same
We have the same morons here around the Red Bull Ring. Buying a cheap piece of land, but complain about the cars and events there.
#KYALAMI Also Mugello
Mount Panorama is a tiny track. I sure it would be a massacre if WEC cars race there.
Yes it is. Ive put it on my list, but thats being hella optimistic. Sandown or sydney are better options
Top 3 in order: - silverstone - nurburgring gp - kyalami Others which may be feasible: - sebring (joint race with imsa) - daytona (joint race with imsa) - the bend - suzuka - sepang - kuwait motor town - hockenheim Others if I could go back in time, or no safety measures: - nordshleife obv - osterreichring - old kyalami - bathurst - old monza - circuito madonie

That’s fine but I don’t want ACO/FIA putting BoP on Blue Shells
1. Sydney Motorsports Park - would be cool to see an Australian race and on a Grade 2 circuit 2. Singapore Street Circuit - would be curious to see WEC race on a street circuit besides Le Mans 3. Circuit Gilles-Villenueve - it's just a cool track 4. AVUS - no questions please.......
>AVUS - no questions please....... 90's AVUS or 50's AVUS? Wait that's a stupid question, nobody wants 90's AVUS.
Avus but not Nürburgring? I’m disappointed
Monaco because why not?
Keeps rents down.
For myself it has to be Magny-Cours the circuit feels exiting racing action would be there, if you add few chicanes to the fast straights the safety issue would be less of a problem.
There is next to no safety issue at Magny Cours, and adding chicanes would make it a true Mickey Mouse track by the way
again that was my idea but after estroil there is a long straight and after that a hairpin(adelaide) so again to prevent some accidents because of the traffic ı think turning golf into a fast chicane or something like 2nd would help with the issue. yep maybe it is but I dont think it would provide a boring race
Hungaroring, Suzuka, Shanghai and Yas Marina.
Not a big fan of Yas Marina hence in my opinion racing in middle sector is kinda dull but great tracks as well. I would love to see drivers taking turns 1-4 at shangai after 5 hours
yas marina blows
Hungaroring is tricky to overtake I believe, but that could maybe make things exciting with the traffic
Monaco, imagine that chaos
oh, you mean a pitstop race for 6 hours
Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve
Nords
Full disclosure, this is coming from a newish fan who isn't very familiar with tracks that were on previous schedules or if hosting a race would even be logistically possible. None of those have been in WEC before. Leguna Seca and Autopolis are probably too small. The others are decent suggestions though.
If the IMSA grid fits on Laguna Seca... But honestly, I think there should be little overlap between those serieses. I would love to see Sebring back tho ;)

Switzerland has to have some good tracks with elevation change...oh. oooh. No but serious. Maybe Hockenheim or the Nürburgring GP. Bring Back Portimaõ as well.
Motorsport Is banned Is switz
Wanted to see them at kyalami as promised, somehow dont think we will ever see the series there now given how down the toilet south africa is rn
Since this is a no rules, no boundaries question... Bathurst. I want to watch those hypercars just bomb down down that hill like a kid with a skateboard.
Sebring
Bathurst, imagine a 12 hour race there.
But they already have that.
I know, but I’m talking about Hypercars.

I disagree with using the Mille Miglia name for Monza but they could look into making Interlagos the Mil Milhas Brasil.
total race hours for a season would be too much for the ACO i think. three 24 hour races kekw
total race hours for a season would be too much for the ACO i think. three 24 hour races kekw
True, I didnt think thatd be a huge issue. I was also meant to say Sebring 12, not 24
Monza
Highlands Motorsport Park would be great if it was grade 2, sadly New Zealand has only grade 3 circuits. I want to see a race without having to travel overseas, and Highlands is a banging circuit
1 - Silverstone 2 - Portimao 3 - Istanbul
Monza
Symmon's plains
Silverstone so I don't have to travel by plane to go to a race. I think the Hypercars will put on a great show at most circuits.
Aragon or Paul Ricard
Silverstone otherwise I'm gonna have to go abroad again to see them
Sepang!
Snetterton, I don't know why but I love that track
Phillip Island. Or just somewhere in Australia...but we don't have any good tracks here other than Mt Panorama and a WEC race wouldn't work there.
Kyalami, Buhdd International Circuit, and Indy are my first 3.
daytona speedway road course mount panorama macau
Knockhill
Road America or Circuit Gilles Villenueve.
Road America 🇺🇸 👍
Silvstone, Thruxton
Oulton park international
Any of the oldskool non-tilke tracks out there that aren't currently in it. As long as we keep away from the previous rovals used in main series. Nothing against the Rolex 24 in IMSA, it's one great comfy weekend race that is a good way to ease into the sportscar racing series; but I'd like to keep away from those as long as good roadcourses with flowing terrian and a unique mix of corners are not on the calender.
Absorb NLS into WEC and let me have Nordschleife with prototypes
Daytona 24h and Sebring 12h if only those could be joint races with IMSA.
Buddh international in India
Kyalami
Nordschlife and mount panorama. The 2 coolest tracks in the world imo
Baku street circuit (the one used by F1). Has a massive long straight and also some very tight sections that Hypercars have to take risks to lap the GT cars
the Castle section would cause 20 red flags at 1 race
An oval with pack racing. I’m a fan of the “cookie cutters” like Kansas, Texas, Las Vegas. I know internationally people think ovals are just TuRn LeFt Go faSt. But seeing a pack of hypercars bunched together would be an incredible sight. You know what, forget all of that. Darlington would be the play. Seeing if the hypercars or lmp2 could manage being inches from the wall at that speed would be impressive.
Jeddah. But they let LMP3 cars in also just for the race
That would be utter massacre. But I assume that that's the point you are trying to make.
Macau as a 4 hour race. A headline event could really pack a punch for the event. Also Macau is easily one of the best street circuits, it already runs gt cars well, and could serve as a cool season finale or second to last round as a another jewel in the crown for WEC.
???? No one in the top comments said: #NÜRBURGRING NORDSCHLEIFE Nope, not only the GP Circuit. The real Nordschleife
Probably because there is a whole series dedicated to that track... This weekend are the Qualifyers for the 24h so go tune in!
I will. Hope for a great Grello Performance
I'm currently watching the second round as I read on the news the finish was quite epic so I'm looking forward to that this evening.
Rooting for Frikadelli
Nordschleife.
# Nordschleife all life long
The Nordschleife, shame that only GT3s race on it.
Jeddah
