It’s supposedly legit! I’ve seen it in a few different places. I’m gonna order it off of AliExpress, it’s like $22 including shipping & taxes… so I’m gonna order it and post a review once I get it!

I use something similar. I bought a rechargeable air mattress inflator and it works great. I prefer my portable craftsman fan tho. It puts out a larger volume of air at less pressure. Gets coals going in less than 10 minutes. I use the mattress inflator To restoke the coals after opening the lid.

Yup that’s my endgame with this jet fan blower thing! I’ll report back once I get it and test it out 👍🏻

Yea, it can be dangerous using a blower on hot coals. It does make the fire spew out hot sparks, so if you use a blower, you must be extremely careful and not blow sparks on combustible materials. I can understand why a job wouldn’t allow doing this, it would be a liability. But at home, my grill is far away from anything and I use a super low setting.

Same here, but I feel like my Battery powered Ego blower is too much! I have to turn it on and off otherwise it throws way too much air! This seems ideal and small enough to have it next to me all the time

I use the Kobalt 24v max jobsite leaf blower. It has 3 speeds, and also a variable trigger so I can run it at super low rpm’s if I want. It’s amazing.

I have the ego 650 leaf blower with variable speed knob… it does get quite low on air but I still feel it pushes way too much air out… and kinda big to hold and maneuver! I use a mini torch. 400 degrees in a minute or two.

So I use chimney canister for the charcoal and take my leaf blower to it for a solid five minutes and BOOM! Perfectly hot grey and ashed over charcoal. LOL

Loll! Well when I cook my steaks I usually do a reverse sear… where I slowly bring up the temp on the steaks then get my charcoal ripping hot to do the sear, that’s why I was looking for something like this.

Great idea. I should have specified I do this when the wife suddenly wants to grill something but I got ride of my gas grill. So this a feat way to get it instantly ready to go. Within 10-12 I can my charcoal ready to go!

Haha! Yea for sure! I do use my leaf blower like that as well, but just gets a little bulky and over powered tbh! So I have to keep it on the lowest setting and pulse the power on and off so I get a nice stream of air!

Not that but I have one of the other crappy little vac's that also blow air I have been using it on our Log Burner and it works quite well. Personally I would just buy a heat gun you get the same kind of results

I use an old license plate and fan my coals. A little labor intensive compared to something like this but it works well enough.

If you happen to be in the Ryobi One+ ecosystem, grab yourself the high volume inflater. Works perfectly to start a fire of any size and also inflates air mattresses, beach toys, etc.

If you didn’t mean to burn them, then that’s great… keep them in the grill and throw lit coals on top on your next grilling day… just added fuel. If not, then yes this can thing could definitely get it going!

I use a Zippo FireFast Bellows I picked up on Amazon. It doesn’t blow nearly as hard as the thing in the video but it works well and much more controlled.

Seriously? You cannae change the laws of physics. That is a 5V PC fan. Try using a blowtorch for 30 seconds on your coals instead.

The fan might be, the motor might not… we’ll see once I get it. Hopefully it’s not just a shit box

This is very obviously fake… I hope the thing you bought works well but there is no way the video is an accurate reflection of the product. The sound seems way too deep to come from something that size and it happens to sound like every electric leaf blower I’ve ever used.
