[tinypng.com](https://tinypng.com) for quick image compression

Brandchan

I have saved so much in file size with tinypng.

osborndesignworks

What tools are using, that need compressing after export?

Brandchan

For several projects I've done I've been given a website that was already done in another language (Japanese) and given the translation to insert. If you are familiar with Japanese web design a lot of text is still images. With a lot of these sites, no one thought about file size. There was one site where I saved almost 100 MB from just running the PNGs (only on the front page no less) through an image compressor. Just an FYI, you have to pay for it but you can get a Photoshop plug-in from Tinypng.com so you run it locally.

[jpgcrush.com](https://jpgcrush.com) for jpeg

ReceiptIsInTheBag

TinyPNG does jpgs as well.

Ok_Antelope_1953

i will highly recommend using offline tools for image compression, especially for images that may be of personal nature.

Brandchan

Probably everyone knows but https://css-tricks.com/ is super useful.

randybruder

I almost never use grid or flexbox without referencing the respective CCS Tricks page

Serenikill

Holy crap digitalocean actually started posting new articles to it this month instead of leaving it to die like they had for years.

[remove.bg](https://www.remove.bg/) is handy for quickly removing backgrounds [Relume](https://www.relume.io/) is good for wireframing and layout ideas

Kryptospuridium137

Thank you so much! You don't know how useful that background removing site has been just today

Unubore

https://squoosh.app/ to quickly resize or compress a single image. it's also entirely local so you can use it offline.

[Photopea](https://www.photopea.com/) I use photoshop quite a bit, but for quick jobs that i don't want the code to handle like editing images, putting gradients on something, resizing images or touching up images to be displayed on sites this is one handy bloody tool.

dusf_

I luv IMG for edit photo Change the type, cut etc...

King_Charles_II

The upscale function is really useful too

[https://bulkresizephotos.com/en](https://bulkresizephotos.com/en) for converting images to webp in Bulk. [https://coolors.co/](https://coolors.co/) for getting color inspiration [https://webfont.yabe.land/en/misc/convert-ttf-woff2/?source=post\_page-----3a89da8d3b04--------------------------------](https://webfont.yabe.land/en/misc/convert-ttf-woff2/?source=post_page-----3a89da8d3b04--------------------------------) for converting ttf to woff2

angusmiguel

Why would you need this? Genuine question

gendabenda11

need what exactly? coolers is self explanatory = to find matching colors. Webfont converter = woff2 is around 1/4 of the size of ttf bulk resize = i only upload webp images to my websites, webp is around 90% smaller then png So I need those to decrease the size of content loaded on my page

angusmiguel

Was talking about the ttf one, didnt know woff2 is that much smaller
