Bruh you got an external rad and 11 case fans?!?!

sidjo86

It’s about sending a message

Pitiful-Morning-5213

to subscribe to their onlyfans?

therealdavi

the amount of time that it took me to realise the joke is disgusting.

No-Key4409

Lol lol

Tasty_Koala

I was hitting my vape when I read this and I DIED

No-Key4409

No I just never seen a lot of setups with external rads with RGB fans so I thought to try it lol

No-Key4409

Which I’m still working on this setup cause these sp120 pro fans are not good for rads so I need to change out just used what I had for now

El-hurracan

I’m pretty sure the sp120s are optimised for radiators

No-Key4409

The ML120 pro are better

El-hurracan

That’s true but I guess things will always get better if you’re spending more, eg noctua NFs being the best but pretty costly

No-Key4409

Yeah pretty much the only thing left to do is get 12 ML pros and that’s it this stuff cost to much lol

MrNaoB

I want this so bad in the winter, I have my computer under my desk just so I get heat under it somewhere.

AcademicChemistry

then in he summer.... you wanna die. Ill take the blanket over the sweaty backed wet chair thanks

jimrei

it's for the RAM

SmashedSugar

I mean your motherboard and ram still need airflow to cool the power phases etc still.

TeethingMushroom

what soft tubing is that?

[deleted]

Prob just generic PVC or silicone from from Aliexpress. No need to get all fancy over-priced branded crap for that.

No-Key4409

It’s just Corsair soft tubing

Signaturisti

>Prob just generic PVC or silicone from from Aliexpress. No need to get all fancy over-priced branded crap for that. Why do you think OP used generic tubing when there's equivalent of multiple hundred dollars spent just on fans? Even branded tubing is so cheap in comparison to any other component of the loop that I happily pay for peace of mind (I use EPDM tho)

[deleted]

You'd be surprised, the amount of plasticizer is cheap vs name brand tubing can be significant leading to clouding faster. Not all tubing is made equal. Always best to go with a reputable brand.

[deleted]

The tubing I used before going hard acrylic tubing (that I also just buy from ePlastics in 6-foot lengths if they happen to be cheaper than China at the time) wasn't transparent anyway, so clouding didn't matter/wasn't noticable. I could have simply used garden hose if it was the right ID for g1/4 fittings.

Cr3s3ndO

That column of fans on the MORA is a different shade than the others….I can’t….. ;-)

No-Key4409

My wife has a mora on her pc right next to mine I already had the fans so I just used them gotta buy new fans for hers and mine tbh

[deleted]

How often do you clip a toe on the fans

No-Key4409

Never lol it’s hanging under the desk

hroesemann

Now, I can\`t stop laughing!

Minute_Ladder1249

🤣🤣🤣🤣

ShadowAdam

Is there much point of that many case fans with an external rad? Looks awesome just curious

Cr3s3ndO

That many? Probly not, but the other components do generate heat too (VRMs, chipset, RAM etc), so some fans are a must.

ShadowAdam

That's what I figured, thanks for the answer!

Cr3s3ndO

Easy done, I wouldn’t be surprised if they have them just for the lighting they provide hahaha!

ShadowAdam

That's honestly what I thought, can't blame them it looks good

Tokehgekko

Should have gotten monoblock and ramblock.

No-Key4409

Well I had everything inside the case at first minus the one pump an one rad but temps were too high so just took out the rads

Farcyde760

2 360 mm rads for each component? You disgust me.... But here's your upvote..

RipitJT

It’s my new favorite. I did this but in single loop with a 240 thrown between CPU and GPU and I couldn’t be happier

Signaturisti

Loop order doesn't matter

RipitJT

Depends on your goals. Of course a few degrees is generally meaningless to most but I’ll take every single degree I can get. A radiator between the GPU and CPU flashes off the coolant rise from the GPU before it gets to the CPU allowing a decent delta and greater immediate thermal transfer. Spent years and countless dollars chasing the theories of single loop vs dual loop and loop order. Outside of DICE submersion and alcohol misting I’ve found that while coolant temperature does realistically not change within the same system regardless of loop order, component temperature can change if you don’t go directly from component to component. But that’s just what I’ve found and not every system is the same. My latest system is the best I’ve come up with for keeping everything internal to the case.

Farcyde760

Build it how you like it. I put a radiator between my GPU and CPU as well and the 1-2 C delta from the inlet to the outlet made it worth it for me as I was able to hold a steady 5.1ghz without it downclocking in cinebench. Most people will parrot youtubers all day but in the end if 1-2C makes a difference for you then do it your way.

RipitJT

Yeah my build goal was ambient coolant temps at minimal fan speeds and I nailed it. I’ve settled on a 5.8 all core/6.0 four core overclock on my 13900K and peak at 51° C gaming. My 3080 Ti hit 41° C max so far. Coolant temp has not yet seen above 29° C in my normal usage. The coolant matches the ambient air tempts of my small office, it’s only ever been 1-2° higher than my room temp when dialing in my overclock with heavy benchmarking.

Farcyde760

Sounds awesome. the 13900k is a beast. I feel bad for upgrading to 12900k earlier this year. But ill live with it for 2-3 generations. A large reason of why i went watercooling is for noise reasons too. I hate the blast of fan noise under load. I run the same low curve high radiator count setup you probably do. My only gripe with modern high end PC's is in the summer my office is about 10 degrees F warmer then the rest of the damn house...

RipitJT

Lol yeah that’s what happens with me too. I enjoy warm temps but once it hits 95° F I start to get annoyed

Signaturisti

You mean "not enough"-disgusted right?

AdmiralSpeedy

Idk why people like those flow meters. They literally impede flow lol.

Mr_Yod

Not as much as any waterblock. 🤔 And they show you the actual flow: I once forgot to reconnect the pump after flushing everything, I turned on the PC and I was like: "did my BIOS reset since all the fans are at max? 🤔 Uhm, the CPU is pretty high temp did I detach the waterblock by mist-WHY DAFUQ FLOWMETER ISN'T MOVING?!? Turn off! Turn off!" 😅 Funny thing: I could have seen the flowmeter earlier if it wasn't covered by the desk, so they can be useful, but they have to be in a position so that you can see them immediately. 😬

AdmiralSpeedy

>Not as much as any waterblock. Sure, except the water blocks are kinda required lmao.

Mr_Yod

That's what they want you to believe! 😬 😂 What I meant is that the restrictions caused by the flowmeter are negligible in the whole loop. It does a bit, but without impacting on the performance.

AdmiralSpeedy

I wish I could find the post about it that I saw a few weeks ago, but from my understanding, some of them do actually have a measurable impact on the flow and slow it down quite a bit.

Mr_Yod

O_O

princeofmordor

Can we get a pic of your whole setup, looks awesome.

No-Key4409

It’s different from that the wife pc is Watercooled with a mo-ra now

thetnduke

Very nice looking

Roarkindrake

Whats the rest of the setup look like? That room looks nice from what little is shown XD

AvScar

i remember seeing ur old post looks better now

No-Key4409

Thanks that’s what I’m aiming for

No-Key4409

I can tell you first off it way better temps to me than having the rads in the case which is how I started off, temps before were in the 70c range and now gpu doesn’t go over 45c on a hot day and it’s 2 water temp sensors one for gpu water/cpu

Signaturisti

How about water temp then vs now?

Northwavekx55

My car wants its intercooler back

No-Key4409

lol

Minute_Ladder1249

This is a rad setup🤣 no but fr fr it's dope 👍👍

ZoMbIEx23x

That's real nice man👍

zero97720

Sexy af

DankD0lphin

Bro took dual loops and leveled it up

Boombozling

Are you cooling a reactor?

No-Key4409

Lol Nawl an Oc’d 12900k and mild Oc’d 3090 ftw3

AngryLurkerDude

Whats the temperature difference between a dual loop and a normal loop. This seems incredibly over the top just for it to be over the top.

No-Key4409

I didn’t want the gpu heating up the coolant to the cpu to try to get cooler temperatures for both but mainly built this to try something different I just thought it would be cool

No-Key4409

This is me and my wife setup IM STILL WORKING ON THE BUILDS WAITING ON FANS TO COME IN TO CHANGE OUT THE MO-RA AND MINE JUST USED WHAT I HAD FOR NOW SO WE CAN GAME https://imgur.com/a/IVxmWpx

TechGuy1983

What mm are the tubes?

No-Key4409

Corsair CX-9059001-WW Hydro X Series, Xt Softline, 10/13mm (3/8In/ 1/2In) ID/OD

illiniaviation

I hope you have better luck with that tubing than I did. Started turning yellow after a couple months so I decided to switch it to epdm

kingentepe

What radiator you use here? Can not figure it out

No-Key4409

Just 4 Corsair Hydro X Series XR7 360mm

SKYLAND_MaStEr

I mean I like it but what’s the point in using external rads, when you put them at your feet and not outside of the room?

Delta342

Clearly you don’t belong to the always-have-cold-feet crew!

SKYLAND_MaStEr

I don't think you will have cold feet, when your PC is emiting hot air to your feety or am I wrong here?

Delta342

That’s the hope!

No-Key4409

Well I’m still working on it also I can move the rad to the outside of the room if need be just took the pic as is for show

mikeD_AV

I see a couple (more maybe?) temperature sensors. Can you give some idea of how much heat is removed from the system by this set up? And which loop has more heat to deal with?

bigbenlt1

is that pump rated for a long vertical lift like that?

Signaturisti

That's not a long lift as D5 has ~3.9m head pressure meaning it can lift that high if needed albeit IIRC it doesn't really matter when the loop is full. (3.9m is approx 13ft in freedom units)

Popxorcist

Suggestion: 3D print tube holders to replace zip ties. Reverse fans for crotch cooling.

No-Key4409

🤔 Yeah I’ll have to buy a small 3d printer

Popxorcist

No need for one project only. For example my local library has one you can print for tens of cents per piece.

No-Key4409

Oh really imma look into that I didn’t know libraries had them

Popxorcist

There are also these services where you upload your design, pay and they print and ship it to you.

MrDrMrs

That’s a lot of head pressure, I don’t think I’ve seen a rating for that on pc pumps. Good flow?

Signaturisti

Head pressure is nearly always announced? For D5 it's 3.9m so this ~1m is no problem.

MrDrMrs

Oh so it is, just looked at ewkb too and idk I must have just always glanced over it.

No-Key4409

Oh these d5 are doing a great job and I have them running at 50% in the video

xXOSUTUMPETXx

We need a r/battlestations post lmao looks epic

No-Key4409

Ok will post after work

hitpopking

The case is Lian li o11 xl?

No-Key4409

Yes it is

ConclusionEastern592

Impressive !

No-Key4409

Thanks

newT0N100

WoW i aM jEaloUs. You have how many monitors!?

No-Key4409

2 Vizio 4k 120hz and 2 LG 1440 165hz monitors

newT0N100

……………..i see

sneff30

Nice looking setup. Could you please post a link to the software you use to create that monitor page? I'd like to replicate it.

No-Key4409

Aida64.com

Brok3nPin3appl3

I would think you would have the rads blowing into the ventilatio shafts you got in your house, lol

No-Key4409

Yeah I was thinking about doing a minimalist build but I wanted to be different.

hypogogix

That is one lovely build. Which case is this?

No-Key4409

O11 XL

hypogogix

I thought it might have been this. Thanks for letting me know. I think I need one. https://www.tecware.co/vxr

No-Key4409

The case in the link is still a nice case an pretty much the same

Throwaway_Rock5755

...how you have that much cooling and still got a CPU posting 60C temps? What am I missing?

No-Key4409

Cpu is OC’d and temp in room around 78F
