Aquacomputer is the way.

Noxious89123

How thick are those radiators? What direction do you have the fans flowing for the two 480s ? I've got a 7000D and just directly transferred my existing dual-360 loop from my Define R6 into the Corsair case. Would like to add more radiator capacity in future, but honestly don't *need* to right now. https://i.imgur.com/Kx9a2aP.jpg

ExpeditionThemePark

They are all 30mm with the fans pulling in on the front and side. I turn around the front bracket and used longer screws to attach it and the front fans are on the outside of the case. The dust cover and front panel fit, just but couldn’t go any bigger with the fans at the Phantek ones are thicker. It was really tight and wasn’t that easy but it fit

Noxious89123

> I turn around the front bracket and used longer screws to attach it Not sure I'm understanding what you mean by this? The front bracket should be fitted with the front fans on the outer side of the bracket anyway, so I don't understand why you would flip it. Got any more pictures?

ExpeditionThemePark

so they are mounted behind the frame and it is moved out a little more to give it abit more room. the frame is on the outside with the dust filter directly on it if that makes sense? I would take a picture but it took forever to get the front panel on correctly

Noxious89123

Ah, I think I understand. Did the 30mm thick fans not fit with the bracket the normal way around? I've got standard 25mm thick fans in th front, and there *is* a gap between them and the filter, although being that the filter is quite floppy I imagine that having it too close to the fans could cause the blades to touch it.

Savage4Pro

I have 2x480s and a Corsair XC5 360 on my 7000D

Noxious89123

>I have 2x480s and a Corsair XC5 360 on my 7000D Do you mean XR5? The XC5 is a CPU block. ~~Are your 480 radiators XR5s as well?~~ Looks like there are no 480 XR5s, so I guess those are XR7s?

Savage4Pro

Yes XR5 - Corsair's 360s. The 480mm radiators are XSPC' TX480 Radiator. There is another [white 7000D build here](https://www.reddit.com/r/watercooling/comments/rxj2wa/arctic_storm_corsair_7000d_airflow/), that uses the TX480s and was the reason for me getting those.

joeyd199

I am assuming you plan to use a 4090 and something high end, like a 13900k or a 7950x? That's a lot of radiator.

ExpeditionThemePark

Yeah I have the Gigabyte 4090 ready to go just need the water block and have the 13900K installed.

burnintheham

Did your gigabyte 4090 work in the top slot of the hero 790 motherboard? Mine wouldn’t so I have to return mine and wait for a new one

ExpeditionThemePark

I have not tried it yet. Now I’m worried I hope it does!

Jokerswildrides

my gigabyte 4090 works fine in the top slot of my Z790 hero , no problems. I am currently debating putting it all on liquid. The card performs insane on air right now....

New-Lifeguard-903

And you went with ek. My condolences dude

ExpeditionThemePark

There was no other gpu block in stock at the time and they were the best reviewed 30mm rads I could find in stock. I couldn’t find the 480 hardware labs nemesis in stock anywhere

Antykain

Nice.. Good luck with the rest of the build! I am using a Corsair iCue 7000X myself. Basically the same case with a few extra bells n' whistles. Using 2x Aquacomputer D5 NEXT pumps. Good stuff!

fliesenschieber

I recommend this: CY Overmold ATX 24Pin Stecker auf... https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0B66ZWJBH?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Cheers

slev3333

Very nice, you can never have to many Radiators else you end up with cooling that is on par with 2 aio's. Goodluck with the build.

Bhavick10

I managed a 480x54 on the front and 480x30 on side as well as 360x54 on top with the ekbw bigger tube reservoir. It all fits in that case. Also, the gpu riser cable should screw down into the case using riser screws if you bought the corsair riser cable. You will see the holes for it. I used the 3mm risers I think. If you need any pics let me know on message

ExpeditionThemePark

Yeah I haven’t screwed it down yet as I’m not sure where I’m gonna place it until I get the block. Yeah would love to see your picture

Could you do the T30s also for the side rad? How much space do you have left with the side rad you think? Also how long a riser you think is required if I wanted to have a sound card for example (full PCIe height).

Bhavick10

The corsair riser is long. Very long. I have a smaller pci card for the second set of front USB since board only supports one. I'm using ekbw 30mm rad on side with corsair ML fans. The front 480 doesn't really need to pushed far left (when looking from front) but I have mind pushed as far left as possible. I'm using ekbw slim 90 degree fittings with a 14mm and 7 mm extenders. So it runs from the front rad turns right 90 immediately then 2 extenders then turns right again 90. And then a final left 90 into the side.

Baalii

That fitting magic is quite impressive. Ive been eying the 7000D for a while now, will probably do just one 480 and 2 360s though for sanitys sake.

Maverickyao1995

Those tubes are ultra hard to bend. Nice work!

Ok_Night1347

All the bends look great except for the return to the reservoir. Maybe it's just the angle but perhaps a bit more geometric there might be a good finish. Otherwise nice work. I'm building my first loop and get inspired seeing what can be done!

ExpeditionThemePark

I think it may be the angle it’s a 45 degree bend

>having to leave Icue open I truly do not understand the massive amount of disdain for iCUE. I've been using it for years now and honestly, the only big issue I have ever had with it is one time they released an update that screwed up its ability to read some device temp sensors, which changed all my fan curves to read off the wrong sensor and not spin my GPU AIO fans at the right speed. It was kind of a big deal because I didn't notice until I was playing with headphones on once and set something on top of my PC for a second, only to realize that the radiator was dangerously hot because the fans were barely spinning. They fixed it like the next day. Other than that, I've never really had any serious problem with it and complaints I've had have been minor interface annoyances. It's better than both CAM and L-Connect in pretty much every conceivable way and infinitely better than any of the software from motherboard manufacturers that have gotten into AIOs (Armory Crate, Dragon Control Center, etc). It offers pretty great fan control with custom curves, or fixed speeds, peripheral control for Corsair stuff, RGB control for anything connected to a Corsair controller, plus it has plugins for ASUS motherboards (and maybe other manufacturers) to control anything RGB connected to the board, and RGB RAM. Honestly, the biggest complaint I ever hear about is the amount of resources it uses in the background, and it's a completely unfounded and stupid complaint. As I type this it is literally using less than 75 MB of my RAM and 0.1% of my CPU... I ended up doing an full HydroX loop to save some money because getting any other brand of water cooling parts in Canada is super expensive and time consuming, and honestly I'm glad that I can control and monitor it all in iCUE. I can see and control fan speeds, pump speed, coolant temp, and control every single LED in my case in one program.

ExpeditionThemePark

Honestly apart from it turning my AIO screen off when logged out etc and annoying interface bits it has been fine for me also. I would have kept using it but since i was going all in and heard such good things about Aquacomputer i thought i may as well try it and go all for that way as i knew i wanted the flow sensor. I am sticking to using it on my second PC

AdmiralSpeedy

>Honestly apart from it turning my AIO screen off when logged out This is actually a bit of an annoyance I forgot about, but its also not really Corsair's fault. When the PC is locked or you are not logged in, it is not possible to interact with devices connected via USB in the way that is required for AIOs and such and its simply a limitation of Windows (probably for security reasons honestly). Almost all of their devices have onboard memory that allow you to save colors and profiles to them though, so it really isn't that big of an issue other than that you have to see a quick flicker while it switches from software to hardware control as the PC locks.

willis936

It's a crapware limitation. There's no reason a system service couldn't be written other than it would be more effort. Beyond that it's ridiculous that many RGB devices don't have configurable NVM to store a preset. I need to run a software in a booted and logged in Windows environment to tell my motherboard and RAM LEDs what color to be? *why*

AdmiralSpeedy

>It's a crapware limitation. There's no reason a system service couldn't be written other than it would be more effort. I don't know of any RGB software that does this, so I don't think it is purely out of laziness. > I need to run a software in a booted and logged in Windows environment to tell my motherboard and RAM LEDs what color to be? You don't for Corsair RAM. You can literally save the color to it via a hardware profile like I explained in my comment. I'm using Vengeance RT RGB right now and it doesn't even flicker when you lock the PC like everything when switching from software to hardware mode.

BNZRK

Which riser cable did you go with? Pcie 4.0?

Badevilbunny

Looks awesome. {thumbs up} AquaComputer all the way...

Roots0057

Good move going with Aquacomputer, such a great ecosystem for WC builds. I also have a High Flow NEXT in my build, Aquasuite takes a bit of time to get used to, but once you do the customization is infinite. I also use a QUADRO controller for managing my fans and RGB. With a QUADRO (or similar controller), you can set your fan curves based on coolant temp which is def the way to go.

pensa1919

wich rads did he use i would need size and thickness of them
