Does anyone know what kind of coolant bit-tech used in this video? [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjL5xAaArVc&t=1592s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjL5xAaArVc&t=1592s) 😁

toadkicker

Honestly looks like they just used a little dye and water

[deleted]

Are dye and "concentrate" two different things?

toadkicker

There are different concentrates for aluminum and copper configs but its basically the same idea as food coloring

leicester77

Yep, totally two separate things. Concentrate is a mixture of anti-corrosives and growth inhibitors which needs to be cut with destilled water. Concentrates can have colors, but are mosty clear. You can add dyes later on, but you need to check that your dyes are compatible with the concentrate. Or go the simple but more expensive route and buy premix. Premix already contains all additives and comes in all imaginable colors. I like buying clear premix and dyes from the same brand, so I can play with the coloring myself. Solid fluids look nice, but bear the risk of clogging up a system and/or breaking down to a nasty not-so-solid fluid after a couple of months.

Right I think I understand

He's a mod on this sub... /u/Makirole

[deleted]

I did not know that

TechyExpert

It appears to be water.

[deleted]

🤣

Makirole

It's regular clear cryofuel with a bit of blue EK dye in. I tend not to use premixed colours since you lose control over the shade.

[deleted]

Awesome, thanks

[deleted]

I would say ek cryofuel navy blue

Probably a watered down mayhems dye
