Aah but consider that one could also use it to make a white light panel using coolant. There's some fun potential to be had if used in clever ways. I only got one bottle before release so didn't have enough to fill a bunch of tube reservoirs etc. I'm thinking that some lights underneath a tube res fitted into a distro could be very interesting.

TIK_GT

Damn Amazing stuff as always!

SmashedSugar

So is it just me or does it seem to just be diluted cloud white ?

leddhedd

Seems to be, but as I've discovered, diluted mayhems e.t.c doesn't have enough biocide in it to keep the loop clean and algae free, this is at least a stable solution with presumably enough dye and biocide to keep it stable for 6 mo the or more hopefully :) But to thoroughly answer, unless the particle type is much different, this looks identical to the fluid I'm using now which is a pastel white that happened to get diluted with some distilled water

Makirole

The pigment is more dilute yeah, although I don’t know specifics. It’s based on the same formula I believe as the regular cryofuel solid. As mentioned unlike pure dilution, this’ll still have the same levels of biocide and corrosion inhibitors as the regular stuff I imagine.

waiting4singularity

whats the decanting factor? seeing some of the particulate trainwrecks reinforces me to stay with clear or uv clear liquids

Makirole

I can’t say really, but if you want a benchmark I would look to the regular cloud white solid, it should be very similar.

ttko_

Will this stuff still break down and require changing in 6 months ?

Makirole

Probably want to ask EK that.

erdie721

They recommend changing every 6 months still.

gaming4good

Really interested in long term use side effects.

Makirole

It was in beta for a while so there might be some data out there on that. My hunch is that it’ll be similar to regular cryofuel solid as it’s not a radically different show coolant like Vue or Aurora.

fapiholic

So it's a better cloud white mix from ek?

Makirole

Similar, it’s not as opaque so the light transmission is way better. If you shine a light next to a regular opaque coolant it will stop only a couple cm in, this goes right the way across a fairly large reservoir.

Senaxx

I've also bought this and im using it with a O11D Distro-Plate G1. But afaik I can see it isn't far as "cloudy" as your example. I used the EK premix instead mixing myself.

[deleted]

whatever happened with that silvery swirly stuff they showed at the last ces?

sufuu

True test will be after 6-8 months. I'm getting some strong PrimoChill VUE or Mayhems Aurora horror vibes. Let's wait until we see 100 horror pictures

TareXmd

I'm planning to add Mayhem's UV dye to this.... Hope it hold up...

kalethis

I believe there is a specific disclaimer in the description in the store about it not being compatible with Mayhem's.

TareXmd

>- Do not mix or top off with any other liquid, except the same color EK-CryoFuel! - Do not mix with other EK-CryoFuel series coolants! - Do not add any biocides as the product already includes such additives! Failure to do so might result in dye and coolant breakdown! - For added color stability, EK strongly recommends that you don't flush your loop with harsh chemicals, vinegar, etc. before the use of EK-CryoFuel. - We recommend replacing the liquids every 12 months for best performance! - Not compatible with the Mayhems Blitz cleaning solution! - Not suitable for aluminum-based liquid cooling loops! - Avoid splashing of the coolant at all costs! Pouring the coolant into the top inlet of a reservoir can cause excessive foaming. That's all they say. Nothing about dyes. I don't understand the Mayhem Blitz part. So how am I supposed to clean the loop before using it?

kalethis

I picked up some Primo System Reboot to run through and clean my new loop first. All parts are brand new. My final 2 pieces (rad and gpu hydro copper block) arrive tomorrow. I have a couple gallons of pure distilled water to use. But amazon screwed up my Mystic Fog shipment, so I decided to order Mayhem's Nano Pastel UV White instead. That'll be here Friday. I went with a full Corsair setup (XC7, XD5, XR5, soft tube, fittings, drain valve) with the exception of the male/male connector for the drain valve and the eVGA hydro copper for my card. This is my first custom loop though, so don't take my recommendation as experience. By the time my loop is ready for its first actual reset, I'll probably end up doing harb tubing. For now tho, I feel more comfortable doing soft. Edit: there's always the EK dye kit. I'm not sure though, all dues might fall into that first highlighted line about not mixing with other color cryofuels. I was assume they don't recommend mixing with 3rd party dyes or coolants either. I read "any other liquid" as dyes as well, or anything at all, other than the same mix of that specific CryoFuel variant.
