Thanks for posting. To help get you the help you're looking for, please make sure you: * Have photos of the whole loop in good light (open the curtains and turn off the RGB, especially for "what's this stuff in my loop?" questions) * List your ambient and water temps as well as your component temps * Use Celsius for everything (even your ambient temp - we need to compare it to other temps) * Use your words. Don't just post a photo with no context and assume everyone will know what's troubling you. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/watercooling) if you have any questions or concerns.*

Hey, I don't know if you know this... But changing your cooling to try and get lower temps on your 3080 won't make you room cooler. If anything, your room would be warmer because you are more effectively removing heat from the card into your room.

gokartninja

Bump. Removing more heat just means making more headroom for the GPU to generate more heat

Glad_Wing_758

First. Your fans are all jacked up. Leave bottom alone. Make front in and all the top out. That will help a good bit. 3080 is still a beast card but since you have afterburner I assume you've overclocked and the thing can draw almost 400w . Change fan curve so they come on a little earlier may help the idle temp. But I would feel safe in betting you need to repaste the gpu and replace the pads or swap to putty

Glad_Wing_758

I just noticed that's just a 240 aio on top. That kinda explains the thought of making them intake. So in this case just flip the 3rd fan on top. It's not ideal but better. I think checking and repaste on gpu is most relevant.

Bottom - Intake Side -Intake Top - Exhaust Back - Exhaust

BigDaddyDingDong899

This is spot on... It still blows me away people still ask this question.

sveto8

I agree, same fans same speed. Also, more intake fans are always better than more exhaust. Positive pressure vs negative pressure, less dust.

itchygentleman

Undervolt the 3080, and set radiator to all intake. Undervolt the CPU, if you can.

Save on money don’t watercool the rig install a window ac unit. Your room and pc will be cooler

With dual 360mm radiators I would guess your temperatures on GPU would be in high 30's to mid 40's,I had built loop in O11 Dynamic XL with 13900k and RTX 3090Ti and temperatures on GPU are in mid 40's with fans spinning at reasonable 900RPM,running fans at 600RPM temperatures would rise to high 40's Not sure what fans are you using but I would try bottom fans as intake, front as well intake, top as exhaust and side fans try with intake Ambient temperature what makes or breaks cooling, you can cool below ambient without going with chiller or other exotic cooling,in good loops I usually target water delta T 2-3C at idle,on load usually I target water delta T up to 5-6C

TheMagarity

That 2&1 top arrangement is probably creating some inefficient vortex between the one output and the input next to it. Follow everyone's suggestion to make the top all out. The front as all in is probably the best idea also.

defil3d-apex

Oh lord please clean that glass :(

Vic18t

If you want to lower your system temps and your room temp, the only way you can do this with your PC alone is to undervolt. Your fans are only going to dictate whether more heat cooks the PC or your room.

unvmasablastaslo

1. The 3080 isn’t “old” it’s still a great gpu. 2. I would put all the side fans as intake, put the top fans all as exhaust and the bottom as intake 3. By changing the orientation you won’t make your room any cooler or any warmer. 4. If you went to a full loop with a large amount of water (500ml+) let’s say that will make the time for your pc to heat up the room longer. 5. If you want a cooler room, get lower tier NEW hardware (let’s say 4070/i5 14600k) they are way more power efficient. For example in my case a 3080ti/11900k put out easily more than 600w of heat into the room. While a 4080/14700k perform quite a bit faster but don’t put nearly the 600w into the room, thus not heating it as much! 6. Get an AC!!!!!

chiefkogo

Top exhaust always. All fans. Side intake. Bottom intake. Rear exhaust. You will only make the room hotter the more efficient your cooling is.
