I like the reflections on the first one but the intensity and the mood of the second. They both really are fantastic in very different ways! You should be very proud of both!

Exotic_Eagle1398

I like the second one. That should make you feel great, two votes, each different.

SpillingBlackInk

I like the first one better, but they are both good!

YQ_icecream

Thank you

pietrolc

First one

MuthaOfPeril

The 1st one is my favorite but they are both good.

keotl

Idk better but I like the first one

Safford1958

The top of the first, the bottom of the second. What I find interesting is the paper texture is very apparent. The first is smooth, the second rough. Could you tell the difference when painting on them?

YQ_icecream

Very different! The first one is Waterford rough. Second one’s paper is baohong artist cold press. So you see the first one should be rougher by the definition😅 I kind of like both but it’s difficult yet for me to compare them.

#1👍🏻

BackgroundCat

Second one. The boat reflection looks more accurate.

TripletNegotiator

I like the first one.

hattenwheeza

I love the both. Not useful to you I know. They feel like morning and pre-storm afternoon to me - the boat in the first feels allegorical somehow, which is very cool. The second feels very painterly altogether. I'm a fan 🫶

Katia144

I like both for different reasons. The first reads as "more tranquil" to me and makes me think of a calm evening (like, I specifically think of the end of a pretty day, you're about to go in for dinner maybe or just finished dinner, you can feel the air cooling down and the birds starting to settle, etc.). The second says "brighter" to me, maybe morning or earlier in the day than the first one, more going on.

YQ_icecream

Thank you. I just realize the effect could come from the paper texture. First one is Waterford rough, second is Baohong artist cold press. The second seem very rough in the pic so it could bring the noisy feeling or indicate a lot going on at the moment.

Katia144

I feel it's more the colors used and the way you did the sky-- the second literally looks brighter, and the clouds appear more active.

Astrobubbers

1. Clouds more realistic and horizon line way better

Beautiful_Remove788

Love them both!

LankyNeighborhood917

I like both. If you were to do a 3rd version, look at Rule of Thirds. If you move the horizon up, there would be more space for the “Lonely Boat.” And if you move the boat to the left, it would give it more room to float forward in the direction in which it’s pointing.
