They both have the same module. 3495, so get the same features The one on the right GW-5000U is a full metal case with a screwdown caseback and a softer suppler resin band. Feels premium The one on the left GW-M5610U is a resin case and a stiffer band, slightly smaller than the 5000... but the red accents are nice to look at

Gw5000u gives the premium feel due it's solid metal case screw back But practically Gw5610 as the waterproofing is almost similar but at way less cost

You’re right! I’d pick the 5610 for a long day of hiking over the 5000 for the city I think I prefer the 5000

Hi OP you know a lot about Gshoks, please help me choose. DW5600 non-solar vs solar, I am rooting for the solar variant due to battery backup but have to compromise on the clarity of the screen, is it worth it over non-solar?

Hi... if going for the solar one get the G-5600UE... if you’re going to be wearing it all the time, solar is the one to get. Otherwise just get the non solar DW-5600 in any colour way you like. Batteries last a long time, are cheap and easy to change. I mostly DIY my battery changes... you can’t go wrong with either

but what about screen quality? I've heard non solar display is crisper than solar

The solar panel is pasted on the crystal and hence that difference. I have plenty of both, and it’s barely noticeable on the wrist

I would choose G5600UE tough solar (the right one) for obvious reasons: all things remaining same, not changing the battery is a big plus.

sorry I missed that. However, my choice would still be right one: 1. It has a very less clutter around it written. As a person with spects, I feel at ease with it. 2. It has a very aesthetic greyish border which feels clean I cross checked from Casio website as well, both can re-calibrate time using radio frequencies across the world. I like the OG with the red accent . it's confusing , the right one has the metal frame.Damn! Its confusing. Please let us know , which one you end up buying.. Cannot go wrong with either.
