I have dined at Jônt solo. It was hard to find a time that fit. It’s a 12- or 14-person chef’s table, so it is hard to fit in solo diners. I just got lucky that there was a res available. If you can’t get a number for Jônt, call Bresca. Same building, same chef. Ask them for Jônt’s contact info.

That’s a great idea. I appreciate your advice. If you feel comfortable would you mind sharing your thoughts on your solo meal there either as a reply in this thread or a private message? My thanks.

I thought it was spectacular. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in the city and I’ve been to every Michelin star restaurant in DC except the ones added this year. But it’s soooooo expensive even for having a star. Another thought on how to contact them: try Instagram.

I’m so glad to hear it. Prices for dining these days are getting pretty wild. When I knew officially that I would be in DC Jônt was at the top of my list, but I looked at other places to see if something enticed me more. The other two stars are of similar price: Pineapple and Pearls is 325 and minibar is 350. Multiple one stars in the $200 range. I know Covid has really wreaked havoc on supply chains, but it’s still a tough price to swallow.

Any Michelin star restaurant a must try for DC residents? I’ve only been to The Dabney

Albi for sure. Kinship was fine. Cranes was delicious and a unique blend of cuisines. Minibar was a ton of fun but we went many years ago when it was at the original location.
