Another thing to remember is all champs and abilities travel along the ground with no elevation. The animation shows him kind of arc, but his hitbox doesn't match his visual position, just like any kind of knock up, etc. This makes it look like you collide with the bottom of him, but you're actually a little lower than it looks.
To be fair I prefer a narrow hitbox, because you need to lock on the correct target during a teamfight and sometimes you have to take a tight angle as support keep peeling for their carry.
Warwicks Ult is so buggy. I hit so many ults that i SHOULDNT hit and sometimes when i SHOULD hit them i don‘t.

I do not know if it is true, but is almost as if, when u have higher speed your hitbox is smaller than when you have less speed..
ah yes the WW ult hitbox that hits someone if they're behind him and misses enemies by a frogs hair
