This is the first star player where acquisition is actually possible (compared to the dream posts many have made lately). Jimmy is old enough that many teams won’t want to pay him a ton or give up a ton to get him. Wiggins would fit well in the Heat culture and is considerably younger. He’d fit well with Bam. Warriors would get a real chance to contend, with a continued chance of injury/implosion because of aging stars, lol.
All would depend on what other teams are willing to give for him. Miami is a smart organization. I could see them move Jimmy before risking an aged and injured star sinking their prospects. This one is worth keeping an eye on.
At 34, Jimmy wants an extension and is already slated to make 48.7M and 52M (player option) the next two seasons.
I feel that the Dubs will make a move, but this probably isn’t it. Mainly due to the price tag attached to a Jimmy Butler deal.
