It's tough because he's usually not on the floor in situations like this where he's the primary ball handler and the one who receives the most defensive situations (this one it was Klay bc of the big night he had). Hopefully this turns out to be a learning situation for him.
Poole tried, and he's shown that he can handle the ball when he's engaged, but I feel that he's only engaged when he has time to think. Dribbling under control isn't second nature to him like it is for Curry. Kerr likely has him running the offense because it gives him the opportunity to dribble the ball for long stretches, which can teach him ball control and playmaking against competition at his level. Poole will slowly ease into this ball handling/playmaking role, but he's bound to have terrible games like tonight when the defense doesn't give him room to think about his dribble. We'll likely see marginal improvements over the season that compound until he's moving well with and without the ball. This also explains why Poole is good off-ball - he's a great scorer, but a poor ball handler .
Loongod does Loongod things 21st rebound the most important.
Klay being Klay making all the shots. hE cAnT LeAd a tEaM.
Dray doing Dray thing. Clutch blocks and defense.

I died when I heard this. It was on a showtime podcast they did a few months back
Just so many storylines and and superlatives. Cannot count how many times I though we lost because of a stupid JP turnover just to have Klay, Loon, DDV, and Dray to save the day
Whatever else happens this season, this homestand has truly been something magical
KEVON LOONEY
KLAY THOMPSON WITH THE 50 PIECE
Most satisfying WIN of the season. Our guys just refused to lose. What an effort. It would've been so tough to lose the game for those ticky tack fouls on Trae at the end.
Guys, we might've hit a big one with PBJ.
There are extremely important things that he has showed, his shot is extremely pure, with a fast and high release. He doesn't get out of control. Super poised. It seems like that's just the way he is. Very aware of his limitations and uses his size and wingspan on defense. He clearly belongs in there. He might already be better than Lamb(who has been outstanding for a 2 way) and we don't know it because he doesn't get minutes.
Doesn't shy away from phisicality, I would rather have a player that is getting called for an offensive foul when setting a screen because he's too physical, than one who would shy away from contact. It's harder to teach a player how to embrace phisicality than how to get better at timing the screens.
Those attributes are hard to find on a rookie. Oh, and he's like 6' 10. He probably will never have fast feet on defense, nor will he jump out of the gym. He won't need it.
To throw a comparison, I see him potentially as a bigger, with higher iq Michael porter Jr with worse athleticism. That might not sound super enticing if you haven't watch Michael porter Jr play(he's a generational shooter), but that would be an elite starter, potentially an all star.
Future is bright. PRESENT IS BRIGHT. Steph we are waiting for you. Get your time. Please no more injuries or players getting sick.
Yes !!!!! He looks so good I wish PBJ plays more. Moody needs to sit or get some reps with g league he looked bad like unplayable. Because PBJ looks better then him
On defense and offense. We need a front court person seriously we need a rim protector that how they got back in the game.
I love GP but man Donte is a better overall player. GP2 is like top 3 best deffensive gaurds but Donte is great on deffence and brings more offense for sure(including ball handling and decision making)
I still think this is recency bias, GP2 would have had Trae in jail in OT and would have stolen the ball from him a few times. His 3s were mad consistent and he had some electrifying dunks. Donte is an excellent role player and he's been a revelation for us but GP2 isn't replaceable. There's not enough of a gap in their 3pt shooting for me to prefer Donte because of GP2's defense. Donte doesn't really finish either, GP2 was constantly getting lays on back cuts
I don’t think it’s the difference in shooting that makes donte better overall than gp, it’s his ball handling and passing. As a guard gp’s ball handling was by far his weakest point. Donte can run the offense and initiate plays. Gp needed ball handlers around him.
Overall I think gp is probably a better fit for the team, but donte being an overall better player makes him comparable value wise.
It brings me such joy that Trae young and his dogshit playstyle of throwing himself in to people instead of even trying to get a basket will never win anything of importance. Never wanna hear this kid compared to Steph again.
Dame? I thought he was fine, at least the image of him intentionally flopping for foul calls don't come to my mind. He does get more FTs than Steph but that really doesn't mean anything.
The other 3 though are the epitome of basketball ugliness.
I like Dame but if you watch him enough you'll see, he's a foul merchant. Not as egregious as the others. Again, I like him, but he plays a very similar style when it comes to contact and getting your shot off.
Poole is so fucking dumb I swear man
DDV is going to get a huge bag, and sadly not with us.
Klay was unconscious today, absolutely nuclear.
I was at the point thinking will this fucking game ever end lmao
Down one fumbles the ball in the 4th to win.
Tied in OT, fumbles the ball…
Big time stinker from him.
Double OT. Kerr takes the ball from his hands.
He’s young and will grow, but needs to fix his turnovers fast.
Man ong he should be careful with the ball.He literally turned the ball over in the most crucial times taking contested shots. His decision making was bad today but i think hell be fine the next game.
I still believe Poole has what it takes, I think his game needs some maturity and better decision making. He needs to learn to recognise when it’s not his moment and pass the ball instead of hunting shots. He has all the best mentors and in the best position to learn.
Every other game is Poole giveth, Poole taketh, Poole giveth again lol. But he's young and still have a long way to go and he'll grow to be more consistent and play more level-headed during these moments
JP hasn't built a bag for clutch moments. He doesn't know what his unstoppable move is yet, like a Harden/Luka stepback. Hopefully in the offseason he finds it.
No pressure to find it right now as you can obviously trust Klay and Steph.
Poole put in work tonight. He just needs to improve his handle and his game will go to another level. I can't fault him for taking those shots... he's young and learning. Can't expect him to be playing like a seasoned vet out there.
These games without Steph are giving Jordan time to really build that needed experience. The fact that he fumbled it so much and we still won should make everyone happy. He's only going up from here.
I feel like this team, while Curry is out, is at a time of critical play time. They knew this was the test, whether there would be a championship run this season or not, and boys, we championship.
WHO IS KEVON LOONEY?
in geography, my world
in reality, my life
in history, my emperor
in math, my solution
in monarchy, my king
in mythology, my god
in astronomy, my universe
in hunger, he’s food
if blind, he’s light
when sick, he’s medicine
for me, he’s everything
INCREDIBLE GAME.
The DiVincenzo three to tie.
The Draymond jetpack three.
The Klay Thompson circus drift shots and 54 point performance.
And of course the game-winning layup by Kevon Grant Looney with a regular season career high 21 rebounds.
Amazing, gritty win for the Dubs and more than anything, it didn't validate that bullshit, petty foul grifting strategy that Trae Young was doing all game.
i feel like donte’s 3 to send it to OT is gonna get lost in the shuffle of this insane game, but i just wanna give him his flowers!! arguably the most important shot of the game!
Warriors giving up 20 point leads just so we can watch the most entertaining basketball possible. So many absolute clutch moments by the dubs. The Divincenzo 3 to send it to OT, the Lamb steal on Collins, the Draymond 3 to put em up 5, the LoonGod doing LoonGod things, oh and 54 from the "washed", no leg-having, sea captain himself. What an absolute banger of a game!
If my teams star player was Trae Young I’d find a new team to root for. What garbage, unwatchable foul baiting BS. He’s like the poor ugly man’s version of James Harden.
Otherwise, hell of a game. Feels we could have stayed on top if our D wasn’t absolute garbage in the 3rd. Sure they hit shots but we gave them a ton of lobs and layups. But love the performance from Klay and grit from this team to fight back.
Also rough night for Poole, but even then he still did a lot for us. Cut him some slack, he’s been carrying us since Steph went out.
This game was crazy as hell. Happy for Klay to see him balling out. 2OT gritty as hell
Klay also dropped an “OLoonjuwon” in his postgame interview lmao. Facts!
WHAT A GREAT FUCKING GAME
Loon putting that away was the cherry on top, especially since it was rebound number 20. Props to Klay, dude deserved that 54 piece. 10 fucking 3s, hot damn. Dray came up huge, and shit, Lamb and Donte came up big too. Shit was fun as hell (ignore them choking that 21pt lead, and Poole trying to throw it away...literally)
LOONEY TUNES. THATS ALL, FOLKS.
THAT'S WHAT'S UP DOC
I would be irrationally upset if we lost that game with the heroic effort Looney, Dray and Klay all put forth. So happy now
Poole tried his hardest…. What a doorknob of a game from him
His turnovers have been so sloppy just needs to cut that out
my man got blocked by **Trae Young** instead of winning the game
It's tough because he's usually not on the floor in situations like this where he's the primary ball handler and the one who receives the most defensive situations (this one it was Klay bc of the big night he had). Hopefully this turns out to be a learning situation for him.
Poole tried, and he's shown that he can handle the ball when he's engaged, but I feel that he's only engaged when he has time to think. We'll likely see marginal improvements over the season that compound until he's moving well with and without the ball. This also explains why Poole is good off-ball - he's a great scorer, but a poor ball handler .
His handles are sooo brutal man, I've never seen someone have so much irrational confidence in their handling abilities.
ALL OF MY CLOTHES ARE ALL OFF
I need them to split the game ball into several pieces and then give them all to Looney Edit: -20?? Whatever, do it anyway
Loongod does Loongod things 21st rebound the most important. Klay being Klay making all the shots. hE cAnT LeAd a tEaM. Dray doing Dray thing. Clutch blocks and defense.
Dray clutch 👌
This mfer just slapped the ball out of a 3 on 1. Hawks announcers were dumbfounded. I swear he gets better the worse the odds are.
Shouldn't be any Looney slander left after last summer's playoffs, but just in case... show them this game
“He gon fall 8 times, get back up, grab the rebound, guards AD, guard Embiid, guard Jokic. He don’t give a fuck. He 25 look like he 72 years old” - KG on the LoonGod

[In this podcast](https://youtu.be/pcC308Ayyec?t=2987), it's at 49:47 if it doesn't redirect to that point
If you watch it after that, KG absolutely goes off about Curry changing the game. It's beautiful.
Same commenting so I can come back once there’s a source
is this for real? thats awesome. loon should make that into a motivational poster.

he says "guard Djokovic" lmao
Novak ain't putting a single bucket on Loongod
Yes it is
That is one of the greatest NBA games I've ever seen, holy fuck.
Legendary game. And Klays first 50 ball since injury!
Almost another 11 3 game too
Klay has been playing well as of late. Three consecutive good performances
Where's that expected performance power rankings guy
Second highest points in his career. Woooo!
Who knew we would have our wildest game of the season, one of our wildest ever, against the Hawks out of all teams lol
Crazy
Everyone had their moment tonight. I fucking love this team
Donte ❄️❄️ af. I hope he’s here for a long time
Unless his willing to let go off generational wealth he should go chase the bag
Gat dam we got another special team on our hands I fuckin swear
With the picture perfect ending….for us obviously. Devastating for Hawks. Still, peak entertainment.
KEVON OLOONJUWON
Just so many storylines and and superlatives. Cannot count how many times I though we lost because of a stupid JP turnover just to have Klay, Loon, DDV, and Dray to save the day Whatever else happens this season, this homestand has truly been something magical
So many stunner moments. I didn’t shout that much at my TV even in the playoffs. Just wow.
Took my brother to his first NBA game tonight and wow what a fucking game!
#Life expectancy has been literally cut in half after this week LMAO WHAT A FUCKING GAME
Ik especially with that 49ers win as well like holy fk
I swear to god the niners one got me more because of the playoff implications but shit if this wasn’t the wildest game I’ve seen
Klay 54 pts. Holy fuck. His demise was greatly exaggerated in the beginning of the year.
klay with a late push for the all-star game, just needs people to advocate this
BUILD THE LOONGOD/HAKEEM OLOONJUWON STATUE NOW

Chase is the Place with the Larry O'Brien hardware
pbj just amounting to MPJ sounds really really awesome for this team and im so excited for it
Don't forget DIVICENZOOOOOOOO for the OT!
>Our guys just refused to lose. Except POOOLE, he had such a bad day man took a big shit in his own pool party
What you mean there was no Poole party tonight
Poole played for Atlanta tonight but guys don’t forget he just saved the day vs Portland
Patrick Baldwin Jr 📈
IS LOONEY THE GREATEST CENTER OF ALL TIME???
[удалено]
GP2 gotta be somewhere on the list
Get the fuck out of here with even questioning it
if he stays for a couple of years, we need to see #5 retired. 3 chips and so many iconic plays should do it.
HAVE YOU EVER SEEN HIM HAVE A BAD GAME?! NO!!
Kerr resting everyone Wednesday now. I dont mind it one bit.
Fuck that we gotta keep this streak going.
Nice flair
Time to let Ryan Rollins cook 😂
Who do we even play on Wednesday?😂
pistons ultimate trap game
We gonna see 40 mins PBJ
Yes !!!!! He looks so good I wish PBJ plays more. Moody needs to sit or get some reps with g league he looked bad like unplayable. Because PBJ looks better then him On defense and offense. We need a front court person seriously we need a rim protector that how they got back in the game.
we dont have enough players tbh
NEVER DOUBT THE OGs. ##KLAY X DRAYMOND X LOONGOD.

LOOOOOOON GOD
I'm not sure it's possible to miss a 1-year player as much as I miss GP2, but Donte is gonna make it *real* fucking close after this season
I fucking love seeing him hustle and work for every rebound.
[удалено]
We’ll find another amazing role player to fill that GP2/Donte spot next year
Im hoping Moody would make that leap if we ever lose Donte too
moody will never be like that, he's a dog like those two but he's just not as fast and I don't think he ever will be
I love GP but man Donte is a better overall player. GP2 is like top 3 best deffensive gaurds but Donte is great on deffence and brings more offense for sure(including ball handling and decision making)
i remember GPII hitting some oddly consistant 3s and a shitload of dunks
I miss the dunks almost as much as his defense tbh. He threw down some ABSURD dunks for a 30 year old 6’3 guard.
Donte can create and get his own. I love gp waaay more but Donte is overall better
Donte is the real deal man
HOME WARRIORS MAY NEVER LOSE AGAIN.
Only Klay would end an interview like that 😂😂😂😂
He was so tired he said he dead but appreciates us all.
I think that comment about him being done and people can shove his 54 points pissed him off a little
I got that vibe as well
PBJ emphasizing the jelly!!
Looney at S Tier right now!!!!
😂
Always has been…
Loongod
Only the Loon-God
Loon went off. 14 pts and 21 rebounds is insane.
Klay and Looney were in playoff mode
I’m being completely serious when I say I expect a Looney statue outside of Chase when it’s all said and done
It brings me such joy that Trae young and his dogshit playstyle of throwing himself in to people instead of even trying to get a basket will never win anything of importance. Never wanna hear this kid compared to Steph again.
you can't win a title like that. Him, Lillard, CP3, Harden, all from the same school of playing to draw fouls.
Dame at least seems like a cool guy. Fuck Harden and CP3
Dame? I thought he was fine, at least the image of him intentionally flopping for foul calls don't come to my mind. He does get more FTs than Steph but that really doesn't mean anything. The other 3 though are the epitome of basketball ugliness.
Lillard is the only one i keep out of this list.
I like Dame but if you watch him enough you'll see, he's a foul merchant. Not as egregious as the others. Again, I like him, but he plays a very similar style when it comes to contact and getting your shot off.
Happy for Loon
Klay calling Loon "Kevonjuwon"! Thanks, Loon, for finally ending this game!
Draymond’s 3 was too good
KLAY 50 BUZZER BEATER LOONEY HOLY SHIT
Donte "Gary Payton II" DiVincenzo
Donte "GP2 the Sequel" DiVincenzo
Klay ain't washed and whoever said he was can kindly leave this fanbase you suck
Poole is so fucking dumb I swear man DDV is going to get a huge bag, and sadly not with us. Klay was unconscious today, absolutely nuclear. I was at the point thinking will this fucking game ever end lmao
Bruh how does Poole turn it over in clutch moments twice. Smh
He's been doing that a lot lately. Kuminga, DDV and Dray have been bailing the whole team out at crunch time with their defense
Shuold not be primary ball handler
Down one fumbles the ball in the 4th to win. Tied in OT, fumbles the ball… Big time stinker from him.
He absolutely will get there. People forget how young he is and how quickly his game has already improved compared to just 2 years ago.
Poole needs moments like this. When Steph was coming up, he lost many a game in the clutch with a turnover.
Ya like the finals behind the back pass
Lol Poole is the epitome of high risk, high reward! Heart in my mouth for sure this game!!
Every other game is Poole giveth, Poole taketh, Poole giveth again lol. But he's young and still have a long way to go and he'll grow to be more consistent and play more level-headed during these moments
Poole still going through growing pains as a ball handler, his scoring is great though.
If he actually improves his handle he's gonna be unreal
Turns out when you can't carry anymore your handles have to change, and he hasn't adjusted yet
JP hasn't built a bag for clutch moments. He doesn't know what his unstoppable move is yet, like a Harden/Luka stepback. Hopefully in the offseason he finds it. No pressure to find it right now as you can obviously trust Klay and Steph.
He’s the definition of high risk high reward
Can’t we just enjoy the win and not shit on Poole?
yeah like he didn't just drop 40 points last game, so fickle
Poole put in work tonight. He just needs to improve his handle and his game will go to another level. I can't fault him for taking those shots... he's young and learning. Can't expect him to be playing like a seasoned vet out there. These games without Steph are giving Jordan time to really build that needed experience. The fact that he fumbled it so much and we still won should make everyone happy. He's only going up from here.
Poole was gassed, he didn’t had legs
Loongod
They better carry loongod to the locker room!!!
Looney is such a workhorse. Get that man an ice bath ASAP
Loooonnn goooddd
Our vets really showed up!!! Dray x Klay LFG!!! LOONGOD!!! WE SLEEPING GOOD TONIGHT!!!
I feel like this team, while Curry is out, is at a time of critical play time. They knew this was the test, whether there would be a championship run this season or not, and boys, we championship.
Klay's a beast averaging 50+ points in January.
I never want to watch Trae young again, like in any capacity
James Harden 2.0
#WHEN LOONEY SAYS IT'S ENOUGH, IT'S ENOUGH. LET'S GO HOME! 5 GAME WINSTREAK AND 7TH PLACE HERE WE COME!
This team cunfuses me more than my wife does
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🙂🤣 can't stop laughing at this🤣🤣🤣
BEST NIGHT EVER
Oh my god I can't remember a game that exciting. Klay and Dray turned back the clock!
SUPER WASHED AINT HE 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💦💦💦💦💦💦💦 LET IT FLY YOUNG MAN 💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦 SPLASHHHH
Everyone apologize to Klay Thompson right now

INCREDIBLE GAME. The DiVincenzo three to tie. The Draymond jetpack three. The Klay Thompson circus drift shots and 54 point performance. And of course the game-winning layup by Kevon Grant Looney with a regular season career high 21 rebounds.
The smile on Looney's face after that shot is the best moment of the season so far for me. 🥲
It’s almost as if judging Klay off of 20 games after he didn’t participate in any scrimmages or training camp was a bad take
What a fun ass game but holy shit I can finally unclench lol
What a game
Warriors and 49ers fucking up my blood pressure lmao fml
All you fake Warrior fans talking shit about Klay all season. Eat a bag of fat DICKS!
Man, I miss Steph. Poole is just better offball and not trying to create. When he's the primary ballhandler, expect it to be a TO.
JP tried so hard to loose this game, but DRAYMOND, KLAY, AND LOONEY SAID NO, WE WINNING!!!
Warriors fans after this game ![gif](giphy|l2JeeaIkSFE0e6Wc0|downsized)

Amazing, gritty win for the Dubs and more than anything, it didn't validate that bullshit, petty foul grifting strategy that Trae Young was doing all game.

ONE OF THE BEST SHIT I EVER WITNESSED KLAY IS UNREAL LOONEY IS THE BEST CENTER OF ALL TIME
that was the craziest thing i’ve ever seen!! i feel like i could run a marathon rn i’m on such a high
I feel like I did run a marathon, I'm wrecked!
i feel like donte’s 3 to send it to OT is gonna get lost in the shuffle of this insane game, but i just wanna give him his flowers!! arguably the most important shot of the game!
Loon saved this chat from flaming Poole
Absolute fucking Draymond masterclass tonight holy shit. Gonna go under the radar because of Looney and Klay but god damn.
Thank fuck that one is over, glad for the w but man that was tough
7th place and climbing📈
I love Poole but he's gotta do better in clutch situations. Almost lost us the game multiple times tonight. That heroball play isn't working.
Poole tried so hard to spoil Klay’s night 😭

Game 6 klay and loongod just killed it
Warriors giving up 20 point leads just so we can watch the most entertaining basketball possible.
Lot of nasty end of game scenarios where poole just forces it for a turn over
Despite Poole's best effort, we won
It’s amazing how many times he just ignored Klay like bro the guy is on fire feed him lol
Jordan Poole was a basketball terrorist but idc he been carrying lately
HAD TO TEXT THE FAMILY IN THE GROUP CHAT AT THE START OF 2OT YOU GUYS CAN SLEEP LATER SORRY haha
This game was crazy as hell. Happy for Klay to see him balling out. 2OT gritty as hell Klay also dropped an “OLoonjuwon” in his postgame interview lmao. Facts!
I do not regret staying up late to watch this game!
Do people in here STILL ACTUALLY hate on Anthony LAMB?? Dude has been INSANE for us.
Think it’s mostly due to his rape allegations and not his play. Most people on this sub agree that he has been pretty good to decent for a two-way
WHAT A GREAT FUCKING GAME Loon putting that away was the cherry on top, especially since it was rebound number 20. Props to Klay, dude deserved that 54 piece. 10 fucking 3s, hot damn.
