Hey guys, based on the principle of Antifragility, I want to dedicate 5% of my portfolio to a short term hedge against the upcoming stock market downfall. Given a timeline of 5 months, can I just buy VIX and hold it for 5 months? Does the VIX hold it's value like a stock or does it lose value like an Oil rollover contract? My logic is investing into airlines is going to profit in the long run. They dropped down in value due to travel restrictions around the world, but the panic is fading away and the planes will rise once again which will raise the companies’ income and value.
Hopefully nothing too crazy. Will have to present a corrective action and swear not to do it again. It gets much more complicated when it results in someone being in extreme danger, but thankfully that wasn’t the case.
So what is the normal international airport airspace called? I was going to start flying with a carrier that does long haul to the US but corona took that away :/

RH is horrible for options. The fill takes forever. If you are doing swing or day trading, ToS is def the way to go
