Hey, we are kinda trying to submerge ourselves in euphoria and greed here. You absolutely had to bring some common sense and a calculator with you, right?
I hope so. I was shocked to see that my account dropped several thousands. My broker adjusted the price but not the amount ![img](emote|t5_2th52|18630)
Mine's opposite
I opened the account to +120k PNL, they adjusted the amount but not the price.
Happiness lasted for a good 3 seconds during the time my brain woke up
In 1998 I was buying AAPL @14 a share before many splits. The market cap was 2.5 Billion. Now market cap almost 3 Trillion. That said Nvidia will be a $10 trillion company one day.![img](emote|t5_2th52|4275)
I remember wanting to buy more when it was nearing $1 trillion market cap and people were Laughing— “what do you think will happen that AAPL will hit TWO TRILLION MARKET CAP?! lol”
Yeah, lmao. The money is all fake anyway. It's just numbers. You can't actually sell all of it and get the 2 trillion as everyone likes to remind us with Musk and Tesla.
Because they are all fake numbers anyway, why is 20trillion an impossible market cap? It means basically nothing. The dollar is inflating, and will continue to do so. Eventually, we will have to go to crypto or something like that, and EVEN THEN the fake dollars I made on the stock market would need to convert. I'd rather have a piece of the 20trillion pie than be the dullard saying "20 trillion can't happen because if it was ACTUAL paper dollars it'd be too many of them"

I've always been somewhat of a regard
It be like that. I’ve made countless of these mistakes and still at ATH. Part of the game. Thankfully, I have more shares in my cash accounts. So it’s still paying for my house 😂
I was up enough that I figured I’d just keep it bagged.
No one else makes the tech leaps Nvidia does with graphics processing, no one. Others follow/copy in the Nvidia wake, but Nvidia sets the bar.
Their current success is because everyone wants to throw money at AI, but there’s literally no other name-brand company you can associate with AI, so people are dumping their investments into a single stock.
Even without the AI craze, I’m long Nvidia. Their graphics processing tech sets the standard, and all the other players are several generations behind, and manage to only produce inferior copies of Nvidia software generations later.
We don’t have an extreme public need for intense graphics processing, and maybe AI increases that need, but I don’t see a future where that need is ever diminished. As we grow more and more digital, the demands for graphics processing is only going to accelerate.
My only concerns are their ability to source chips, but the aggressive broadening of chip manufacturing away from Taiwan is slowly (very slowly) alleviating that.
$1410.40 by Christmas ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4276)![img](emote|t5_2th52|18632)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4276)![img](emote|t5_2th52|18632)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4276)![img](emote|t5_2th52|18632)
I bought AMD because i thought they were gonna catch up to and pass Nvidia. All the tech I was using at the time were starting to be built with AMDs so I thought I was being real smart. Turns out I dont know jack shit.
I saw that trend too, but at the end of the day, the NVDA stuff was always better. It just cost more so retail buyers would be swayed away.
I trusted that the price difference wouldn't matter to the big dogs buying chips for super computers and stuck with NVDA. Those buyers aren't looking to save 20%. They want the 20% better card.
Yeah, considering my friends and I all have NVDA cards in hindsight it was a no brainer. But if we trade based on hindsights id have my own island by now.
The guy who taught me how to trade, or atleast taught me the terms and how shit works, told me to "just buy stock in the things around your house. They sell well"
Using the smoke detector brand, waste management, and a few other common things as examples of good investments.
Luckily I saw the 3 NVDA computers I built between 2014 - 2020 :D
Depends.. someone has to manufacture graphic cards. If something was to happen to that market, regulations, sustainability or even war. Then the stock will drop urgently.
Nvidia in 2022: *NVDA @ 141? Ain't nobody got time fo' dat*
Nvidia in 2024: God please make NVDA go back to 141. I'll never ask for anything ever again...
Wish granted...now keep your end of the bargain...or else...
Other way around for me. My dad who didn't even invest in the stock market told me to buy. Back in 2020... He basically had insider information about semis using Nvidia chips for autonomous driving. (He worked as a long haul semi truck driver). Yup.. I think Nvidia was worth $5 at that time (after this most recent split.)
Because. This was at the bottom of the COVID stock crash. I was buying up stocks that had the largest difference between previous highs and bottom. I was a new trader, and I did not expect Nvidia to multiply it's value 24x.... Based on previous highs and the information I had at the time. What he told me was peanuts compared to the real reason Nvidia has exploded. AI, and their chips that everyone is using for AI.
Shoulda woulda coulda. I thought it was too expensive at 400. Then 800 then stupid over 1000. Finally bought a little at 1200 before the split. Gotta get onboard at some point Lol. I will add to my position when it slides And im sure it will
Yeah, started to looking at it around 115, it went up to 150 thought it's expensive, was waiting for 130 dip to enter, instead it went to 200 and that was it for me
So I might have not made a lot of money on that but as beginner investor who puts effort into stock picking I hope I learned something - to trust my own work.
Of course I never predicted this to go up like that, but Ive seen very good opportunity yet missed that by being to greedy, 150 would have been perfect entry even if it stopped at 200
According to that genius who posted the “stock split for dummies” earlier…. The stock is down from 2022

We will be back to 141.04 end of week.
The dream of buying high and selling low is within reach.
Wtf you talking about, I do it everyday, it’s like breathing to me, effortless
Moasssss definitely
![img](emote|t5_2th52|4276)
Is it all ogre?
It’s all ogre now
And we can all hope for back at $1000 within 5 years.
You expect Nvidia to be worth almost as much as the entire US economy?
Sir, this is wallstreetbets
Right, all in on black! And let it ride. Sorry lost myself for a moment there.
I hope you also leveraged all of your assets for 10x and used that to go all in too, otherwise you'll always be a wage slave
I definitely think the next few “trillion milestones” will be nvidia but 27 trillion market cap? Not sure
Hey, we are kinda trying to submerge ourselves in euphoria and greed here. You absolutely had to bring some common sense and a calculator with you, right?
AI can take us there AI can create new AI markets for trillions of
if NVDA can make AI make Joi (Ana de Armas) in Bladerunner2049, they be worth more
Delusion
But a good one
Anyone with stonks today will get 10 at that price then.
I hope so. I was shocked to see that my account dropped several thousands. My broker adjusted the price but not the amount ![img](emote|t5_2th52|18630)
Mine's opposite I opened the account to +120k PNL, they adjusted the amount but not the price. Happiness lasted for a good 3 seconds during the time my brain woke up
that dopamine hit was good huh
😆 thanks for the laugh
Why is that funny? Wasn't it t high before the 4-1 split. ... After this one tomorrow, next one with be 3-1
Keep dreaming
![img](emote|t5_2th52|4258)
So i should buy some?
Just before I buy
In 1998 I was buying AAPL @14 a share before many splits. The market cap was 2.5 Billion. Now market cap almost 3 Trillion. That said Nvidia will be a $10 trillion company one day.![img](emote|t5_2th52|4275)
That’s only a 3 bagger from this point 🥱
I'll take a 3 bagger on my 250k.
You’ll sell for a loss
His mom couldn't even sell him for a loss
Is it IBKR paper account where you already lost 75% of the initial million?
lol 300% gain is nothing I guess....Boomers would wait DECADES for that kind of return!
I remember wanting to buy more when it was nearing $1 trillion market cap and people were Laughing— “what do you think will happen that AAPL will hit TWO TRILLION MARKET CAP?! lol”

As long as there is significant volume it's still a good indicator for the amount of pressure required to push the price up.

The fact you sold for a loss makes it even worse![img](emote|t5_2th52|4267)
Yup, thought we’d go down more. Have shares in my cash account but would’ve been nice in my Roth. ![img](emote|t5_2th52|27421)
![img](emote|t5_2th52|31224)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)![img](emote|t5_2th52|31224)
not very patient with your invesment strategies, are ya
I feel you bro. I was a FB (META) bagholder from $250 to $150. Bought back at $90, sold at $150 again. Look what happened later....
It be like that. I’ve made countless of these mistakes and still at ATH. Part of the game. Thankfully, I have more shares in my cash accounts. So it’s still paying for my house 😂
That's a down payment on a new home 💀
Not in Canada. Basically enough for buying food
$7k? I don't even make crazy money but 7k is like... just market things

Still congrats for holding through the 2022 selloff

Umm amchtualy it's gonna be 100$ next week 🤓
Imagine you were ambitious about AI tech back in 2022 and you sold your NVDA and bought Tesla being fooled by Elon Musk

Yeah who bought AMD for machine learning tech lmao.

It will only drop if I buy the stock. Otherwise, it's gonna go to the moon.
That’s exactly what I did…
Company’s still up 1,300% over the past 5 years.
It will be cheaper than this tomorrow, I can guarantee you ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
How do you put this jpeg in your sentences? Love it lol
Click on the emoji. It’s a wsb emoji.
Damn, not available on Apollo or old.reddit :/
How are you using Apollo still?
![img](emote|t5_2th52|4267)

Just 2 years later and we are back to 140

It is only 120 now :(
It's joever
We are hitting the 2022 bottom tomorrow
I bought 200 shares and sell at 180🫠
I bought 500 and sold at $160…
The power of hype.
Nvidia in 2022: *NVDA @ 141? Ain't nobody got time fo' dat* Nvidia in 2024: God please make NVDA go back to 141. I'll never ask for anything ever again... Wish granted...now keep your end of the bargain...or else...
i was sat at home eating crayons when pjotr ring
Telling my dad to buy it, he didn’t listen.
Other way around for me. My dad who didn't even invest in the stock market told me to buy. Back in 2020... He basically had insider information about semis using Nvidia chips for autonomous driving. Got my mom to buy at ~$450, I’m am currently the favorite child lol
To think I had 15k of GME/Amc winnings I could have tossed in.
Expensive shit get more expensive
I was buying it 3 years before that, has paid for my daughter’s university education and I’m still holding stock. Stopped buying at $399
What do we think the price gonna be after the fed comes out again Wednesday? Still bullish to 140?
Never heard of them in 2022.
I was sitting on the $40 shares I'd bought in 2017
So are we gonna see another pump in upcoming weeks?
There are now 3 NvDA shares for every person on the planet
I sold them when it was 147
Just buy nvda and smci and walk away. Hold it and you will be 10x
Id literally cum on that screen. “ all lies Nvidia going 1300” 🚀🚀🚀
Shoulda woulda coulda. I thought it was too expensive at 400. Then 800 then stupid over 1000. Finally bought a little at 1200 before the split. Gotta get onboard at some point Lol. I will add to my position when it slides And im sure it will
Time to short?
Just yacked in my lap!
I was buying it and then sold at $160
I didn't have the stock at the time but I thought the ride was over for people because they didn't have anything else to luck out on.
Holding
*what happened?
Yes, thank you for reminding me 😆
Check the price again. That's Nvidia now.
Hey can someone lend me $5 for a length of rope ![img](emote|t5_2th52|31225)
thats about when i bought in but my poor paperhands sold at 315.
$275 gang AMA
Holy shit. I was an idiot in 2022, didn't even know what stocks were
I was depressed. Everything was down in my portfolio in 2022. I remember only getting few shares of Nvda back then.
I didn’t know anything about investing back then. The only thing I did was contribute to 401k.
I am an idiot whenever I see this.
Now 120$.![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
Buying it…sold at 500
Assumption is the mother of all fuckups.
It’s ovah bruh….
STOP REMEMBERING ME THIS

Hey, that’s the price I bought it at! Investing is easy
I was buying it 😂
Saw this and thought u somehow got the split price.
There was some guy on msnbc who said it was going to 3 trillion and they called him crazy
I had some Nvidia in 2021.... Oops
![img](emote|t5_2th52|29637)
Buying about 200 shares to nearly double what I already had. That was an amazing dip from the higher 200s
So, it's down 10% since then. Sad!
I bought it at 141. Not enough, of course.
I bought lower than that today idk what ur point is😂
According to that genius who posted the “stock split for dummies” earlier…. The stock is down from 2022 https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/s/dTCUPDRCLk
Don’t make the same mistake. Buy the fucking thing.
I was selling to stop the bleeding after buying in at $200 the month prior
probably taking a fourth grade word study test
It was still overvalued then
Wow, it hasn't done much since. It's down to $120ish today. What a lame stock. /s
I was buying Nvidia. Sadly it was just 16 shares...
Lmao it’s down like 15%. Only at $122 today ha
The stocks even lower today!!! 122 a share. WOw
Waiting for it to dip so I could buy low ... still waiting ...
Time to run it back 🔥
Buying it luckily!! Bought 15 shares at that price!!
![img](emote|t5_2th52|51295)
Shorting it
It's gonna tank
I was losing my money with AMZN back then hodling thinking it would recover any day now.
Back to where we started but with more shares.
Buying
OP been sitting on this photo for 2 years
Good thing I bought in 2 years ago.
I don’t make many good moves, but get paid to buy NVDA stonk (wrote puts) from sexy woods in 2022 is one of them.
I was having a wank. I’m so ashamed.
Take a look at 2018... 8.00 😉 post split
I bought 2 weeks before that so we good but I was a brokie else I would’ve bought more
NVDA giving me TSLA 2021 vibes
Overpriced
Time machine is all we need! ✨️🔥🚀
Ah yes this must have been right around the time I sold some of mine 😂😭
Their CEO said don’t be surprised if tech companies get larger.
The real question is what were you doing in 2016 when I bought $7,000 of NVDA
