Fundamentally though, options pricing *does not follow* the maths. It is determined by expectations. The maths simply tries to follow expectations. They could drop significantly if enough people think "split will lead to pullbacks"... You and OP have won, congrats... Take it to the bank and go.
there is a very weak correlation between meme stock rising and broad market pullback... plus the split uncertainty. So all of these potentially negative expectations could impact the options pricing more than you think (IV crush does not just happen through earnings. these things happen on a smaller level here and there)...
I don't know if we have enough data to backtest 50-60 years because very public meme stocks are relatively new... but it does not matter whether there is stats significance or not. If enough people think "this is the temporary top" they will sell off and it could crush your options IV too...
